Always a pleasure to stop here for a coffee and a bite on my cycle rides. A lovely community cafe and shop. Bacon sandwiches, coffee and cakes have all been very good. Now open on Sundays

Found it to be a very nice cafe, inside and outside seating. My Cortado was milkier than expected but would order again. The bacon sarnie was perfect, seeded bread, nice bacon and well cooked, spot-on.

Really more of a 3.5. Good atmosphere, food and location. It was busy when we went. I understand that. We had to wait. I understand that. Our coffees were brought quickly. Normally great except that breakfast arrived 20 minutes later and we were not told how long it was going to be. Easy to fix. Let the customer know and give them a choice. We were happy to wait for the coffees if we had known. Could have been 5* with better service.

Great ambiance and fantastic coffee! The coffee shop's atmosphere is truly delightful, and the coffee itself is top-notch. Highly recommend! And the food there is what a food lover really looking for. And don’t forget to bring your kids enjoying the park there which just takes 1 mins to be.

Nice place, but don’t think I’ve ever seen anywhere slower at getting coffees made. Prepare to wait ten minutes if there’s more than a couple people in the queue. Staff all charming but need to go watch a few YouTube videos on efficiently running an espresso machine.

The food, attention to detail and allergies is second to none. Their food is homemade by them and delicious, their soups are gorgeous as are their quiches. . There is a small seating area plus garden, I’ve used both. The owners and staff are delightful and I would make this my local stop but sadly I’m 100 miles away. Apart from sampling their lunches and cakes I’ve also used the cafe to do an outside catering event which was amazing. We enjoyed our stay, great coffee atmosphere, great fresh food, was even welcomed with our dog. Would recommend those doing a walk around Potten End with their four legged friend to stop by!

Cozy little café with good options for a lunch. Both outdoor and indoor seating for the café as well as a small shop for buying local specialties.

What a lovely place this is .The staff are very friendly and helpful. We visit often and have really been taken aback how the portion sizes have been adjusted down wards and prices escalated in these past few weeks Noticeably cake sizes granola bowl and chip portions. Very disappointing and not a sustainable trend

What a great find. Had a really lovely breakfast bap here with a proper tasting coffee. Good service from the young staff and nice clean surroundings.

First visit to this coffee shop. Had the ABLT toastie with chips and coleslaw. It was very tasty and also a good portion size. The guys serving were friendly and welcoming. Will definitely pop back there if out for a walk.

Go in most days to get a coffee and or lunch, staff are very friendly yet professional. Great coffee shop and village store.

2nd visit, and the Baileys Brownies were amazing. 10/10.

Went in for a snack and had a very nice vegan bap. It was so tasty, as was the chocolate brownie, a naughty extra that we shared. The staff were really friendly and our dogs were warmly welcomed.

Cedar Cafe is always excellent food, they currently have a pulled pork bap which is absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting the Berkhamsted area.

Being vegan, I’m always filled with trepidation when visiting a new eatery, but I was pleasantly surprise. Cedar came up trumps! A wonderful cooked breakfast, beautifully presented and tasted delicious… thank you!

Lovely village hub for Potten End combining a general store of essentials snd classy products,newspapers, cards and a cafe.Particularly lovely cooked breakfast. Nice garden with a fantastic carved tree stump.

Absolutely wonderful store and coffee shop! Not only is there fresh and delicious food (with a great range) but it’s aesthetically beautiful with fantastic and hard working staff. Far exceeded expectations! Use with absolute confidence.

What a lovely little village shop/coffee shop! We walked here from Berkhamsted to try out the cafe, ordering a club sandwich & chips, quiche & salad and a ham sandwich, all of which was yummy and came after only 10 or so minutes. They were happy to add a side of bread and butter although not on the menu. Good food, friendly staff and some nice local produce in the shop to take home with you. Would definitely return!

I 100% recommend going for a nice breakfast especially after a good walk! I went for a for a breakfast around 12, just after a nice long walk through the nearby woods. Its an incredibly cute and well looked after store! I had bacon, pancakes and sausage with a nice glass of orange juice (See photos attached). The staff were kind and brought the food quickly and it tasted great. I am sure many of the locals already know of its existence, if you don't then its worth going for a great breakfast. Although the portions look small it was the perfect size.

Helpful staff and a nice selection of products in the shop. There's a small shop and cafe together. Which makes it great for a quick stop to relax and get some supplies at the same time. A nice cake selection, hot food if one wants and various hot drink options, tea, coffee etc. Parking out front is difficult but just go over towards the play park there's usually a little space there. There's enough seating for customers and no need to book.

Lovely little village shop with fresh veg and some lovely artisan bread! Just wish the coffee was better, everytime its been burnt so quite bitter! But plus was gorgeous muffin/crumpet with creme patisserie and strawberry!😋

First visit very enjoyable sitting in the sunshine good selection of things to eat highly recommend a visit recommend to reserve a table will be returning

Wonderful reception from the neighbour telling us not to park on his driveway... Did look like part of the shop carpark... Should have clear signs.. The shop is wonderful, good clean setup.. Nicely displayed. Lovely luxurious items. The coffee shop is super. I came for my coffee and it's just what I was after, it is a wonderful coffee. The barista knew exactly what he was doing. He went through the steps with me.. And well done spot on! Coffee as it should be made! The fish sandwich was just out of this world! Keep up the good work! We will be back for more coffee!

Lovely. A massive n total change from the previous village shop. Now manages to successfully juggle several roles - essential groceries in the front, a coffee bar / eatery in the middle with a lovely little courtyard garden (with carvings) in the rear. Bike friendly.

A fabulous shop and cafe. Fiona & the team have worked tirelessy during the Covid 19 situation to serve the community and make lockdown life a whole lot more bearable. Great selection of basics and little luxuries and don't get me started on how incredible the cruffins are! Looking forward to the cafe re-opening.

Lovely village shop. Fresh bread,,veg and fruit is delicious. Locally made produce including Yvonne's chocolates and Darvells baking. I love the cauliflower and chick pea pastie. Hot drinks, sandwiches etc.

Fantastic shop, well stocked, with a lovely cafe attached. Cafe has excellent food, regularly changed specials. Fantastically friendly staff and the suntrap garden is a great place to relax in the better weather too. Just wish it were closer for me to visit

The newly revamped store is also a great cafe with indoor seating and a lovely secret garden at the rear. Good choice of cakes, snacks and drinks. Daily essentials are stocked in the front end shop. A very useful amenity for the village including a free to use cash machine.
