Tarboush Tring in Dacorum

We had an enjoyable meal with the family, comfortable and relaxed, it’s a bit of a fusion of Eastern Mediterranean cuisine, I had better Lebanese, but let’s not get pedantic.

The service was good.the food was mid.the juice didnt fell fresh .the interior is very good

The food was fantastic. Delicious, full of flavour and immaculately presented. The interior and decor was wonderful too. The down side......well there was only one and it ruined the experience and the ambience. The front of house manager Will. Not once did he introduce himself, he barely made eye contact, was abrupt and uninterested in the guests. If I asked him for anything, I felt like I was bothering him and he acted like it was a chore. He was rude when I ordered and tried to pronounce something, simply stating 'you mean no 12'. We asked for a jug of water for the table he just slammed it on the table along with 2 glasses and didn't even speak or offer to pour it for us. Same when my husband asked for another soft drink. He just rushed over and slammed the bottle of coke on the table without a word and hastily walked off. Never even asked if my husband would like a fresh glass with ice. So when he asked for more ice, he again didn't acknowledge us verbally just walked off and got another waitress to serve the glass with ice. Twice we caught his eye while he was at the bar doing nothing in hopes to get the bill, and he ignored us. When he finally succombed he just got one the other waitresses to get the bill. Unfortunately his presence there has put me off ever wanting to return. Instead of making guests feel comfortable he makes them feel like a hinderance. Maybe he needs to change vocation as well as his attitude. Such a shame.

Ate here yesterday for lunch and had a selection of hot and cold Meze. The service was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food arrived promptly. Very reasonable price too. Will definitely be returning.

I don't usually have as much time to write up reviews anymore but I wanted to on this place as it was absolutely amazing food & service today! We walked past & saw the menu outside advertising breakfast/brunch served until 1pm so thought perfect! We were so glad we decided to go in. We had a breakfast each & the portion sizes were excellent, still full up now writing this! Everything was cooked to perfection & super tasty! We noticed there is a shisha lounge at the back while inside & are super excited to come back to try shisha with some good food & atmosphere! I took a photo of the menu in case anyone is interested in the prices & flavors they do. We came here a couple of years ago when they opened for dinner on a weekend when they had a belly dancer on (great light entertainment) & haven't had the chance to come back until today but what a gem we have on our doorstep! Cannot wait to return for a date night soon!

I am not a review addict nor am I a food critic - HOWEVER I Eaten at Tarboush many times. Wait staff always great, Food amazing, Local wine and very drinkable and well priced (Lebanese ) not local to Tring but you get the idea - Lunch offer - 3 dishes for £15 any extra £5 - Bring your friend / family and have wonderful meal with great surroundings - Its so loverly to have Turkish food in Tring done well and to see a venue with a mix of people young and old - four legged friends welcome - Aki was my waiter on several visits, cracking chap and accommodating - thanks guys - Mark

This was a drinks only visit because we arrived at 11.50 whilst the breakfast/brunch menu was still on. The lunch menu did not start until 1pm so we left after drinks. Beautiful restaurant with an excellent friendly manager and staff.... Colourful interior and food which arrived on nearby table looked beautiful. Will return definitely.

Great ambience/decor. The food was fresh, tasty, and well presented. Came in on the off chance, very hungry and were served promptly. Def visit if you can.

ONCE my drink took 12minuets but the drink was AMAZING (never had the food but I love tarbubble 😃)

Went there today after a long walk. The waitress who seated us was very pleasant and friendly but the waitress who served us, blonde lady with a pony tail, could be a manager front of house, was curt with an attitude not worthy of front of house service. She put things on our table with her back turned away from us. That was just rude. She acted like she couldn’t be bothered and that she was only doing this job under duress. Made us feel unwelcome. We ordered drinks but she didn’t give us any water which we’d asked for in the beginning. A couple of times when I called her over she met my eyes and ignored me. The food was okay but this place definitely overrated.

Honestly, I love it here! I have eaten Lebanese cuisine many time before & its been really great... but the same dishes I have enjoyed in the past I found at Tarboush to be truly excellent & not a word short of delicious! We were in last night and incredibly well looked after by the whole team there especially our waiter , Aki. Who was the perfect host and just the right level of attentive , not intrusive , helpful , super genuine & fun. You can tell the whole team love working here. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Fully recommend a visit here. 👌

This is the best restaurant I have been to for a long time. It was a recommendation by Tring Park School staff. And I can see why. The setting is beautiful, the food is divine and the service is impeccable and friendly. We went twice and Aki made us feel welcome and even remembered what we had previously ordered. It’s a must if you are in Tring.

This place has potential, but the level of professionalism is off-putting. The food was okay the kafta had too much cinnamon and the rice was bland, the hummus was solid and not blended well. The price was okay but not for what you get however I would probably not visit again as the atmosphere was not to my liking the manager/owner I felt was off key and the music is so loud one would think they are at a club not a restaurant.

Delicious fresh food, healthy portions and a wonderful server named Aki. Highly attentive and kept our array of starters and mains spaced perfectly. The decor was lovely, comforting, and inviting. We will definitely be back on our next visit, high recommendations!

Proactive and helpful staff, great food.

We went for an early family dinner and shared a mixture of cold and hot mezze between the three of us. About three items each seemed to be a good amount. The food was delightful; the Toshka and Kallaj was particularly popular. Staff were very efficient. Will go again.

Thank you so much for the Bakklava it was really appreciated by the lady in hospital. We will be back in for a meal again shortly.

Popped in on a Monday lunchtime. We went for the meze lunch menu which had a good variety of dishes to choose from. The food was well presented and tasty. The staff were attentive (Will and Kayleigh) and polite. Would highly recommend a visit

This was just wonderful, Downstairs in the bubble tea area there was lovely customer service from a young lady called erin, she made our day with conversations and the bubble tea and milkshakes where just top notch.would heavily reccomend to anyone age ranged from 3-80.

First visit, definitely not our last. Very impressed, food absolutely delicious. We loved our experience.

Wow! You need to open a restaurant in Potters bar! I had Chicken Tagine and it's the best I've ever tasted, the flavours made my mouth salivate, the restaurant is decorated beautifully and staff friendly. They have a little area off the garden section of dining area for Shisha pipes and an area downstairs (& upstairs for private hire) the only negative was they'd overcharged me £34 the waitress added someone else's food to my bill....hopefully they are refunding my card as I type! But food is outstanding, do go try it ;)

I recently dined at Tarboush with some friends and had an incredible experience thanks to Vicky, our amazing waitress. She was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure our meal was perfect. The food was absolutely delicious, and the cozy atmosphere added to the overall wonderful dining experience. Tarboush and Vicky deserve a glowing 5-star review!

The food was absolutely amazing, and the owner personally ensured we were well taken care of. All our guests were delighted with both the service and the delicious dishes. The attention to detail and warm hospitality made the experience truly exceptional. Highly recommended!

Lovely evening spent here. Food was really excellent with tasty Lebanese wine. Aki, our waiter was really great, super friendly and super helpful. A joy.

They hosted my partners surprise birthday dinner. What incredible staff and such a beautiful place in the heart of tring. Stunning food and the vibe and atmosphere was incredible. Can’t praise them enough !!!

Lovely waitress and starter of hummus and shawarma was nice but advertised as having green chillies in and I couldn’t find any in mine. Got the mixed grill note that the menu in the restaurant is not the same as the one online. The mixed grill in store contains much less meat. The chicken shish was very nice the kofte was good but the lamb shish was extremely tough and chewy.

The best chicken tagine I've ever tasted! The flavour of the spices was really subtle - they have a great Ras al hanout recipe obviously! The owner also gave us a tip for cooking the chicken to make it more tender and tasty. You have to try it if you go. We had three meze too and particularly liked the zucchini and yoghurt one. And the bread... Seems like a small detail, but it was really good, and details count. Finally, the baklava was delicious, not as teeth achingly sweet as some can be. Finally, try the wine - we liked both the white and red (merlot) Lebanese wine. The restaurant itself is really cosy, and other details really show they care about their customers, from the cleanliness of the loos to the decor. I'll go again without a doubt. Thanks for a great evening.

This is by far the best restaurant I have ever visited. Outstanding service and the food is incredible. The atmosphere is wonderful and I loved the belly dancing. Had a truly memorable corporate event party night and can’t wait to visit again. Highly recommend

Cracking lunch, good choice and very flavoursome.

A great variety of food on offer, all of which was enjoyed; some dishes being particularly delicious. Staff were friendly and efficient and were happy to assist. Building is attractive and decorated well to create a relaxing ambience.

Have now had a number of lovely meals at Tarboush. The staff are really lovely, and the food is delicious. Plus they have lots of choice for my dairy free kids, including the most delicious lemon cake for pud. Just as good for a family meal out as it is for a date night!

It was good food was excellent and the service was excellent would go there again the atmosphere was very good.

The restaurant aesthetics and atmosphere were great. The service and the waitress were nice, albeit service a bit slow on the day we went. However I didn’t rate the food at all. It came out looking good but really lacked any flavour at all, sadly.

Amazing service from Aki will definitely be coming back for more specifically the hookah lounge area was lovely especially as we were allowed to play our own music in the closed space and enjoy the great food and drink with great company 10/10 new regular

Popped in to get a take away. I wanted something that wasn't on the menu and the manager went out his way to speak to the kitchen and got it done for me. Top man with excellent customer service skills. The food was lovely and fresh .Deffo will be returning when in the area again. On a last note the staff were all very professional 👏 👌

This was an absolutely fantastic restaurant. We went here on a Tuesday evening. It wasn’t too busy, and we were pleasantly surprised by the fantastic vibe and beautiful decorations. The food arrived quickly, and was incredibly tasty. I particularly liked the hummus with green chilli. The mixed grill was also great, along with the baklava. The prices were also pretty reasonable. I would definitely come back here, and highly recommend it.

It was our first visit with friends and we were thrilled with the experience. The staff were very friendly and relaxed even though it was really busy. We had a selection of Cold and hot maze and all was really well made and good portions. The mains were excellent both the kebabs and a really nice Lebanese moussaka. My wife is Coeliac and they accommodated a gluten free meal well and the menu was clear on what she could eat.

I had lunch eating Mezze. The food is really original and tasty. Great find! Highly recommended

Making a return visit to a restaurant we have now been to several times. The food is always excellent and the atmosphere and surroundings are lovely. I had a bit of a grumble in my last review as we had been disappointed with the service, but I feel I really must now write to say this week all was back to their normal excellence. We were made very welcome and looked after perfectly. A very enjoyable evening - thank you to all the staff who worked hard to achieve this, and to the kitchen for the delicious food. We shall be back!

I had a birthday meal with my family here yesterday evening. My first visit. The food was delicious with great service. I strongly recommend and look forward to our next visit.

Came here as it looked interesting feom outside, had a Moroccan feel and lovely artefacts but the food was a huge let down. The lamb tasted off aswell as cold and had a bad smell to it, the garnish was terrible had to ask for everything to make it more bearable, lemon sauces hummus etc then found hairs in a spinach pastry to be told it was spinach leaf stem! It clearly wasn't needless to say won't be going back, when you have tasted authentic moroccan/Lebanese food this is like mcdonalds in a Moroccan theme park. Shame because its in a good spot affluent area clearly the locals don't have taste buds.

A fantastic meal last night with excellent food and great service. We had a selection of mezze dishes which were all served promptly and all equally delicious. Followed by top notch baklava and ferrero rocher cake. All accompanied by a very enjoyable Malbec. Been wanting to visit for ages and very glad we did - we'll be back, hopefully with friends so we can order even more dishes to try!

As a small boy I walked past John Bly's antique shop on my way to school every day. Now it's a Lebanese restaurant. The decor is ostentatious, and the food tasty. They've obviously spent a lot on decor, and it was very busy. Prices are reasonable. My only gripe is that the raucous music was too loud. Apart from that it's a great place for dinner.

It’s a deceptively big restaurant with quirky decor. Staff were friendly and service was quick. My food was nice but I felt it was bit plain and lacked some flavour. Worth the visit for sure.

Sunday lunch with the family - three generations. Not our first visit, so we were looking forward to excellent food and friendly service as before. The food did not disappoint - we had a variety of delicious mezze dishes and enjoyed them all. Sadly the occasion was marred by very poor service. We received a very friendly initial welcome, but thereafter the service was extremely slow. We had been seated for 20-25 minutes before our order was taken, and throughout the meal we had to keep calling for attention whenever we needed anything. As an example, one small dish of pitta bread was initially supplied for the 7 of us, and obtaining any more proved to be a lengthy process! It eventually arrived when we were more than halfway through all the other dishes! Going out for a meal is not only about the food - it is also important to feel cared for and looked after. The waiting staff had mastered the technique of walking past us rapidly without making eye contact! The restaurant was not full, and I am sure that those on duty were doing their best, but they clearly needed more help to enable them to offer an acceptable level of service. We shall come back, as we love the food, and the service has always been good in the past. We are hopeful that today was an exception.

I joined members of my family for a celebratory lunch today. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The food was excellent and so was the service and seating. My relatives live in various parts of the country and we don’t get together that often. Thanks so much for making it such a memorable occasion.

This was our first visit and definitely won’t be our last. We chose small mezze plates for variety and they were all fantastic. The spicy cauliflower was delicious, we are not vegetarian but wanted something healthier and it was a real treat. The hummus with shawarma and tabbouleh were also outstanding. Service was friendly.

Sadly disappointing. The menu seemed a little odd with some Spanish tortilla and whitebait, not what we were expecting. The food was very bland. The Lamb tagine was completely flavourless. The baklava was hugely disappointing. Other deserts seemed bought in with dollops of squirty cream. It was like going back to the 80’s. Cocktails tasted like screen wash. We didn’t finish in order to keep our stomach lining in tact. There are far better dining options in Tring.

Absolutely delicious. Visited Tarboush in Tring for the first time today, we opted for the tapas style menu, everything was amazing. We will definitely be back. Amazing friendly service too!

Was on a business trip in Tring and was looking for takeaway during lunch break. At first I walked in and requested takeaway but the incredible atmosphere and top customer service provided by Will made me change my mind and so I ate in. I bought rice with grilled chicken wings and salad (pictured) which was very delicious. If I go to Tring again, I would definitely eat here again.

Probably the worst meal I have eaten in a while, the rice was tastless and the lamb tasted like old socks, our Calamari was overdone and there was no dip as they had run out.

I have visited Tarboush several times, both with work colleagues and family. Today was a family visit for my Mum’s birthday. The food was excellent, and the staff are always extremely courteous and very helpful. Highly recommended.

My first time here and definitely will not be my last. I celebrated my birthday with my family last night and we were looked after by our wonderful waitress(apologies for not taking your name) she was absolutely wonderful with my granddaughter and ourselves. The food was delicious. We had a fabulous night. Thoroughly recommend, you will not be disappointed!! Thank You 😊

Great little place, very friendly attentive staff and food was really tasty. Just to mention that the coffee is great as usually I don't hold much hope for restaurant coffee, it always disappoints, but I would say this is up there with my favourite independent coffee shop!

Met a friend for lunch on Saturday and ended up at Tarboush. Didn't know what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. Nice menu and very pleasant staff, friendly and polite.

Beautiful restaurant, beautiful service and waitresses, but food was out of the can. Bread was from the shop, hummus was from the shop. Lamb shish was pre-cooked and hard + sour (pre-cooked or bad quality meat)? Sauces didn't taste good. Please make it real, FRESH , exciting, Libanese and lovely medditerean food 😀

Terrific food and the staff are super friendly & attentive. Will definitely be back! I only gave 4 stars for atmosphere because it was a quiet day but the building itself and the ambience within, is lovely.

Tarboush was a last minute booking and we really enjoyed it. The staff were really friendly really attentive. Service was just right and timing really good. We ordered a number of different mezze plates which were full of flavour and hit the brief. Would i visit Tarboush again? Yeah I would.

We went as a party of 6 to celebrate a birthday. The choice of food was extensive and we enjoyed the well prepared and presented dishes. The attention to detail, the catering for gluten free was very much appreciated. We would thoroughly recommend this restaurant.
