The best restaurants in East Midlands

**Review for Milan Sweet Shop – East Park Road** I have been eating laddus for the past 30 years and have tried them across the globe. However, the laddus at Milan Sweets are by far the worst I have ever had. After spending **£5 on 7 laddus**, I am still unsure what was worse—the laddus themselves or the receptionist. The staff member who served me was extremely arrogant and seemed to care only about money. There was no warmth or customer engagement in her approach. I strongly suggest either replacing her or encouraging her to wear a smile—it would go a long way in improving customer experience.

Good food, good service, value for money, good atmosphere, would return here again. I had the special stew, very good. 4 visited, all meals excellent.

Love boo burger food is always 11/10 very nice interior and it’s always clean too. Love how spacious it is inside and they always clean up after customers have left. I hate eating somewhere where all the floors and tables are dirty. Staff are all lovely and always go the extra mile

Popped in for a bowl of chips and a pint in the beer garden after a long hike. A pleasant visit but the food took a very long time and the portion was very small for the price. A lovely beer garden but disappointed by the wobbly bench when sat down leading to beer spilling everywhere. Very nice staff.

Very nice Turkish food. 👌something worth trying are the starters Jalapeno cheese bites and the haloumi cheese 🧀 😋. Had the family platter which has almost everything they have to offer. And finally the baklava with the complimentary tea was brilliant

Great real ale pub.. the best! Staff are great and are knowledgeable.

We stopped for a weekday lunch and have to say we had a great experience. The venue is cosy and welcoming and nicely decorated. The food was excellent and well presented, and service was top-notch Dogs are welcome inside, which is an added bonus. A good selection of beers and ales, including independent brewers.

The hotel is good, it has spacious and comfortable rooms. My complaint is that the staff does not want to work, a group of 20 people stayed for two nights and they refused us breakfast on the second day because they said we blocked their dining room, a shame.

Estaba preocupado por venir aquí después de una mala comida en su pub hermano, el Paloma, pero no tenemos que haber preocupado .. Tuve una muy mala comida de pavo el día anterior y algunos de nuestra familia había pedido eso, pero qué diferencia. Estaba húmedo y mi salmón era hermoso. Una experiencia mucho mejor
