The Manor at Brampton in Chesterfield

A very beautiful pub inside and out, I wasn't there for long but the staff were friendly and professional and the drinks were excellent.

Great atmosphere, good variety of real ales and ciders. Excellent service and lovely, friendly staff 👍😀 had a fab day today with Lexi Whiteside singing 🎶 so we stayed for 'just one more' Was a pleasure to see another award handed out to Matt and the team. Well deserved

Went to see the farewell performance of "Groovy cats" Excellent music and great venue. It was rammed to the rafters and the bar staff worked super hard to keep things moving and were cheerful at doing it. Surely a credit to their product.

Love this pub for the choice of beers only thing that is preventing a fifth star is the lack of food. Only choice is a pork pie. Would be great if they did a sandwich or similar. Still love it though, it's always busy.

Good pub, knowledgeable staff,but Brampton brewery's prices tend to be a bit dear.Also there tends to be too many citrusy ales which aren't to my taste.Best of Brampton ales:- Tudor rose,Wasp nest, Griffin,Menin gate,Passchendaele.These are strong old style ales not the abomination of citrus rubbish.

Attended a wake here today. Other than the quiche, the food was lovely. Not many traditional pubs left nowadays. Looks small from the outside but it's deceptive. There's plenty of room inside and out.

A traditional real ale pub nicely modernised.i received a warm welcome from the staff and even was offered a sample of one of their guest ales even though i had purchased a drink already. Lots of cosy seating and a nice "feel" in the environment. Looking round i could see adverts for a midweek quiz night and a previous camra beer festival. It felt a relaxing place to be. I will definitely return.

Far too busy and noisy for a Covid safe place. Loads of empty dirty glasses piled on the bar counter, and many still on tables. Not enough staff on at the time

This has been my favourite local pub for many years now. During these time you have to take your hat off to all the staff for keeping up the morale of all of us. Special shout to the person who cuts the slices of orange...( Loz and Matt can stop grimacing now)

If you have booked a 'heated pod' don't bother as they are freezing. The pods have all of the sides open so are open to the elements and aren't not warm in the slightest. The 'heater' only emits minimal heat and keeps switching off. The drinks take an age to come out and although the food was nice we weren't brought any cutlery or sauces. My friend's order was also wrong but they didn't do anything about it. The wine is over priced at £20 for a bottle which you can get in other pubs for less than a tenner.Safe to say won't be returning.

We booked a heated pod (which cost £20 & doesn’t come off the bill at the end) and the pod was far from heated. The plastic cover was rolled up halfway and the heater was a pathetic plastic thing with a picture of a fire on it. It was freezing! Service was very slow and they ran out of the wine that we were drinking. The owner of the place served us and had a really greasy personality. The food came in cardboard boxes and served with wooden knife and forks. It was awful! I have emailed a complaint and they haven't even had the courtesy to reply to me! Never again!

Fab covid secure set up, felt totally at ease. No booking of tables, just turn up. Landlord was super friendly and his staff all really welcoming. Table service or use the app to pay on card at your table. Definitely be going back soon.

Originally booked an Igloo before the current lockdown to have drinks with friends. Understandably this wasn't able to go ahead as went into lockdown. Was advised would be added to priority transfer list for when reopened, this never happened.All emails completely ignored, nobody answers the phone, finally received a message on social media after posting a public complaint. Was told I'd receive a refund the next day, still waiting. Chased up daily and constantly ignored.They are only responding to new booking queries and keeping/stealing money from original bookings which weren't able to be used. Absolutely disgraceful way to treat customers. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. They label themselves as "Chesterfield's favourite place" what a joke, I'd rather take my chances at a Wetherspoon's than risk being ripped off by these again.

Excellent meal, Gut said he was proud of his gravy, he should be. Well cooked meals, all very tasty and plenty of it. Beef tasted amazing and a nice selection of vergetables. Great value and will defintaly have one again.

Went here last week for the take away service. Nice to see somewhere offering something a bit different. Definitely recommend the beef burger. Absloute unit of a burger, gorgeous pretzel bun and the sauces are top quality! Bang on the money thanks a lot. Will order again for sure!

We have been here on 3 occasions sice the new managerment took over and new staff in the kitchenWe have had various menus and can honesrly say that the food has been excellent.. Great variety and something a bit different.Just a shame Covid lockdown arrived.Cant wait for the re opening

Excellent Covid measures all explained on entering pub. Great drinks choices and a great pint. Having the drinks online makes it much easier to see what's on offer.
