Really great range of fine beer, excellent welcome and helpful service. Not busy when we dropped in after lunch on a Wednesday.but still a good friendly feeling.

Large group visited for the rugby. Great atmosphere, open stove, well positioned TV screens. Good selection of beer, pizza and little to breadlike for my taste but excellent toppings, marvellous chicken wings.

Great country pub - perfect for real ale and watching sport. We also had a pork pie snack which was lovely

Great place, wide selection of beers, good vibe, friendly bar staff. Pizzas amazing. Recommended to anyone who hasn't yet tried.

My eldest daughter is moving into her first house this summer and it's a 10 minute walk from this superb pub. My first visit, as parents who love a pint in a pub, it's all a part of parental responsibility to check out the pubs near to where your daughter will be living!! Glad to say, this is a perfect community pub which is warm and inviting. Great too, to see Bass bitter on tap. I might be 'round at my daughter's new home' more often than I planned. 🤣👍🏼🍻🍺

Called in for a bite to eat and a few drinks with friends. Lovely pizzas and ordered a side of bacon fries (which came without the bacon!). Service was a little slow, but we were in no hurry. Great selection of beers, and bar staff that you can actually have a laugh with.

One of those rare pubs with a fantastic atmosphere, and a wonderful choice of drinks. Wish this was my local! Didn't have food, just a quick pint, while the mrs had a gin and tonic.

Bit of an older guests preference, but nevertheless a good choice for a quiet family evening out, if only for a few drinks when they don't serve pub food. Wouldn't personally choose for a night out...

Always interesting Real Ales & Cider here. They have their own brewery 'Resting Devil' on site now, & also make fabulous Pizze.

Great pub with an excellent wide selection of quality cask ales

Amazing food, even more amazing staff. They were quick to serve and let us know if there any disruptions in the service, which we didn’t mind at all. Will definitely be coming back for more of the mushroom risotto, chicken supreme, fish & chips and sticky toffee pud!

Called in Friday evening on my birthday for a drink. Beer was excellent as usual and we tried the pizza menu too. The veggie pizzas were excellent. Great evening. Thank you.

First visit to the Chessy Arms and have to say it was an absolute pleasure. My only regret was having not visited before today during my leaving drinks from the College. So nice to see a proper pub with good value drinks with a welcoming atmosphere. Disco Balls has to get some recognition great citrus taste.

Always a great tasting pint. Loads of cask ales to choose from. Offerings change regularly, friendly and knowledgeable staff, good choice of bar snacks including pork pies. Reasonable prices.

Very impressive real ale pub. Huge array of beers, real ale, craft beers and international beers. Large interior lots of tables and arrears to sit with different decors throughout. They have their own brewery on-site too and enjoyed their beers very much. Strongly recommend.

Absolutely brilliant place!! Lovely staff, fabulous range of great beer and non alcoholic drinks too. Snacks are ace! Music is always good and the environment is so cosy and great. It's always clean aswell!

Chesterfield Arms - Chesterfield Derbyshire A popular pub outside the town centre, which has a great real ale range and lovely looking food too (I had already eaten before going). The Everard’s pub has its own brewhouse too, The Resting Devil, named after a legend associated with the town’s famous crooked spire. Satan, or one of his minions was flying over Chesterfield and took a rest on a tall tower, only to realise it was the church spire. Panicking and burning from contact with all that was holy the poor creature tangled its tale on the tower causing the steeple to twist and corkscrew into its crooked shape as seen today. Not been since before lockdown and enjoyed a lovely evening with friends. Great beer and pizzas served by friendly staff in a pub that has bags of atmosphere, both inside and out. I won't leave it, quite so long for my next visit.

It's quiz night again. Staff are always amazing, the carvery is amazing, but to be honest I'm here for the quiz with team Moocow 💪🏻

Visited this propper real ale pub Tuesday 27th July 2021 This pub has nice friendly owners great locals great old style interior ample amounts of real ales and when in Chesterfield on the piss a must to have the odd gallon in Sunday 11th June 2023 This pub I again visited This absolutely stupendous real ale pub cannot be faulted in any wat a propper edwardian real ale pub serving a multitude of really well kept hand pumped beers on 2 banks of ales there were 4 reating devil ales on brewed on its premises and the staff tonight so polite and helpfull This pub has also great outdoor drinking areas and the background music not all this up to date crass Anyone who likes real ales who comes to Chesterfield must be insane if dont come here

One of the best pubs I have ever visited. (1000's over 45 years of drinking) Fantastic rear room and excellent beer garden. The oak paneled front bar is also pretty good. About 12 real ales. Great selection. Chestetfield is a super destination for beer fans and for me this is the jewel in the crown.. we are back in 2023 with Boothroyd and Casta and even better..they now also brew their own beer, The Resting Devil Brewery at the back end of the rear barn room. Had a super Twisted Pale at 4%. Well worth a 15 min walk out of town.

Quiz night tonight at our friendly local pub great food as usual helpful staff always got a smile and and cheery banter can highly recomend it.

Called in a Friday afternoon, place was very busy, staff very friendly and dogs allowed. Ordered the sharer Nachos. Had to wait a little while as everything was made to order and lots of pizza was being ordered. Definitely worth the money, vast range of cider, beers and larger. Will be going back

Our new local, can't get enough of the place. Fantastic changing selection of Ales and ciders. The Pizzas are amazing and the Sunday roast cobs and roasties are divine. The staff are helpful and friendly and above all we can bring the dog. Fantastic pub.

Been refurbished but didn't put me off the decent ale

Went to try out the Pizzas after hearing a few people rave about them. I can happily say we were not disappointed Great value for money and really tasty. Great selection of real ales and a lovely atmosphere with log fires. It was really busy but we still got served quickly

As always a fantastic selection of real ales. 12 on today including 5 from the in-house brewery. 5 thirds for £5 is a great deal to try a bit of everything!

A great pub with very good service and very friendly customers

This is my favourite pub in Chesterfield by far. A great selection of well kept real ales at reasonable prices. Lovely big traditional pub with great friendly and efficient staff. Just one thing spoils it somewhat,..they allow people to vape. Which makes me feel ill, and my friend who has breathing problems cannot contemplate joining me in there. This annoys me greatly because the people with an addiction to polluting substances are being preferred to those who just want to breath fresh air, and there is no provision made for us !? A shame to spoil an otherwise great pub with a great atmosphere for a few idle inconsiderate people who haven't got the good manners to take their horrible smelly poisons outside .

Visited this pub on a Wednesday night for the quiz they hold while staying with work colleagues in town. The atmosphere was lovely, a pub full with serious quizzers and a lovely range of beers and ciders. Great quiz master, nice range of questions and additional games throughout the evening. It was so good we came back the following week!!!.Well worth a visit 🙂

Great pub with a great selection of beers. Cleary the cellaring of the cask beers is done well as every cask beer was in A1 condition. Might be nice to see some more “craft keg” lines. Great place for a quality beer and a pub quiz on a Wednesday.

Three visits deep now, Friday night, just beer, Saturday night beer, pizza and fully loaded chips, and a Sunday sneaky pint with my son with takeaway hot roast pork and hot roast beef sandwiches with roast potatoes. Outstanding pub, staff amazing, great beer , food fantastic, dog friendly, and really really clean.

Great pub but overrun with dogs eating and licking the seats, sitting on the seats. It's got to be putting off normal customers. Dog friendly is fine but dogs should be on the floor and on the lead. Owners should show more respect for other customers than feeding their dogs on the seats landlord / lady needs to take control.

In my humble opinion, the finest pub in chesterfield. Great beer selection, nice staff, fantastic venue. Food is simple but excellent, such as hot beef cobs with roast potatoes and homemade pizzas. If I could make a request then it would be to expand the whisky selection behind the bar a little further, some decent scotch single malts like Lagavulin 16 & port Charlotte would make this place not just the finest pub in chesterfield, but potentially..... THE WORLD!!! <Dramatic music>

An amazing pub situated in the suburbs about 10 mins walk to centre of town Market. Still an Everards pub selling Tiger in excellent condition. But the tenant landlord has been allowed to sell what he likes on the other 9 hand pulls! 3 of which feature beers from his own in house brewery which he opened in April. These really are fantastic (CAMRA score 5/5) and £3-30/pint! No food except Thur/Fri/Sat from 4pm when they do big pizzas for £11/12. Brilliant!

Easily one of the best pubs in Derbyshire. Comfy, spacious, great choice of beers and friendly staff.

Just been there for a funeral wake. Good selection of tasty food on offer.

Still as good as ever. Brilliant cask and Keg ales and their own brew are very good. Love the Banshee west coast IPA. Sunday lunch baps with roast potatoes are a knockout.

Made a welcome return visit to the Chesterfield Arms in order to meet up with a friend. Very friendly service and a very good range of beers. Cosy and comfortable seating and a great place to unwind and have a chat. A return visit is certainly on the cards !

Lovely old-fashioned pub with photos dating back to the time when the market in Chesterfield was jam packed. They show case a weekly gin in summer which we tried and loved . The staff are friendly and efficient. Great find we shall be back.

Poor really, having booked Sunday lunch for 6 only to be told one the day that the only meal available was a cob with sliced meat.

We had a late lunch upstairs at the Chesterfield Arms. Our waitress, Roseanne, was fantastic and gave great food recommendations as my niece absolutely loved the recommended Chicken Kiev. The atmosphere is also fantastic - I especially enjoyed the picture above the fireplace! Great place to hang out in Mayfair!!!

Brilliant pub 👏 great cosy atmosphere and very spacious. Well kept real ales with loads of choice. Regular weekly good old pub quiz night too! Very friendly staff and reasonable prices. Close to chesterfield Town centre also. Dogs are welcome and there is a wide range of people and age groups that go in. Was made to feel very welcome here would recommend!
