One of the better if not the best turkish in leicester. Visit every few weeks. Food is always fresh and flavourful. Warm and friendly atmosphere and the staff are kind and helpfull. My go to is the lamb and chicken bayti and not forgetting the cold mezzes. Cant go wrong with fez 👌

The best Turkish restaurant in Leicester in my opinion. Have been visiting for years and the quality has remained consistent. Friendly lady always serving on the tills, the Chef always cooks the food perfectly and the guy who attends to our table had great customer service, always making sure we’re not sat waiting for anything.

Went here on the recommendation of their sister restaurant in evington as it was closed for holidays. Everything seemed just fine until I went to pay the bill. I was told it was cash only (which I don’t have a problem with) but nothing in the windows, no signs inside and nothing said to me before I ordered. I didn’t have cash on me and was told I could use the atm a few mins walk away. I went there but there is a charge at this machine of £2. I went back and said I wasn’t happy about being charged for a withdrawal (and just like before I ordered my food they could have met me no cash only, they could have gave me a heads up about atm charge too). I was then sent to another atm further away and when I got there it was out of cash. I went back and insisted that I would pay the fee to withdraw money but they would need to deduct it from my bill. The manager was extremely annoyed and not wanting yo compromise. There were several other customers they didn’t know about the cash only policy too. It was only because they heard the rude and aggressive manager argue with me that they realised and were scrambling to get cash together. Delicious food, horrible owner. Obviously I won’t return again nor to the restaurant that recommended them.

Arguably the most consistent Turkish food in Leicester. Starters are the best (Ezme, Humus etc); bread is perfect volume, not too thick nor thin. The Lamb Beyti is sumptuous and the Spicy Chicken Shish is flavoursome.

This was my favourite Turkish place ever, everything was so tasty, mayo was so nice and thick, the kofta was the most tender lamb I’ve ever had. Went today and the mayo was runny and the lamb had no taste and wasn’t tender. I cannot describe how upset I am. This will be a hard loss :(

The food is always spot on. So tasty. The meat is succulent. Bread is fresh and tastes amazing with the mezes. And I simply love the chips with their garlic mayo. Not sure if they make it in house but it's amazing.

Ordered a family meal deal which consisted of spicy chicken, chicken shish, lamb shish, lamb kofte, chicken beyti, chicken wings, 4 meze, chips, rice, salad and turkish bread. All the meat was tender and full of flavour. The meze was tasty especially the Cacik and Yoghurtku Patlican, but the portions were small and not enough for a family meal. The chips and rice were over cooked. Please Note: The restaurant doesn't take card payments.

Ordered a couple of different combination kebabs, lamb shish skewer, chicken shish skewer and lamb kofte While the meals were being prepared, enjoyed eating some delicious hummus and turkish bread. The chicken shish was nice and tasty but the lamb shish and lamb kofte were absolutely mouthwatering. 👌💯🔥🔥. Soft and tender meat and packed full of flavour.. The food here is much tastier than the food at konak or etci baba in my opinion Like I always say everyones taste buds are different and opinions differ from eachother and this is just my honest opinion... Would highly recommend to anyone to try out the restaurant

My absolute favourite Turkish restaurant! My preferred food is the chicken beyti with chips or rice depending what mood I'm in. The salad is super yummy with that slight tanginess to it. The Acili Ezme and Hummous is the best with their complimentary bread. The food is always fresh and served beautifully and tastes delicious.

Our go to place for delicious food! Have been going here for as long as we can remember and drive 60 miles just for the Fes fix. The food has never failed to impress. I think we would live on just the bread and hummus if they were closer.

Amazing food and great service but whilst we where dining there where three quite unpleasant looking ladies who seemed to be upset about not having a Coca Cola which didn’t make sense as they looked like they have enough of it as it is (they where fat and ugly) They disturbed mine and my husbands meal and awoke my baby. They looked about 50 something and probably have a mortgage to pay but where acting like a child who hadn’t gotten attention

Absolutely worst customer service ever! After eaten, we are at the til ready to pay - they turn around and say it’s cash only.. would you not prepare us and let us know before making an order?? No ice, no coke, rude staff - Especially the cashier lady - long eyelash lady full off make up - so rude who doesn’t know how to even count and not give money back. The girl with the coloured eyes looked like a little girl full of stinking attitude! Fix up guys.

Not been here for a year - but £13 for a dish that used to cost £8….Food was great, but £13! I am still hungry after eating it!!! Price increase, smaller portions-sorry will not be going back there again.

Definitely not as good as used to be, four cubes of steak and some hard chips for £10.🤔🤔Rice was hard. Spicy chicken kebab was alright, but definitely nothing like it used to be. Would think twice about using Again.

We absolutely love coming to Fes Mangal. The best Turkish restaurant we have visited and love visiting. We would travel 1 hour all the time to have the good food. We usually order the family platter which is enough for 4 or 5 people. I will note that, we have been coming here for a long time and the platter portions have gotten smaller since before. The food is lovely and the staff are helpful and amazing also.

The food was great and the staff were very friendly and polite. It's a great location, there's not many restaurants around which is surprising. I ordered the Mix Kebab which tasted really nice. The downsides were that the variety could've been better, compared to other Turkish restaurants considering it's similarly priced. And they did not take card payments. The only ATMs that are walking distance charge to use them so it would've been nice if the restaurant took card payments.

Best Turkish food in Leicester we have ours delivered we live out of the catchment area but they only charge an extra £2 on the delivery. The rice is something else!! 😊

The best Turkish food in Leicester!

My go to place for some of the tastiest Turkish food in Leicester! The food is consistently of great quality and very good value for money. Parking in the area is a bit of a difficult and you may have a bit of a walk to the restaurant but that's a good thing for me as I always tend to over-eat at this place and the walk aids digestion!

If you want to experience Turkish food in a restaurant then Fesmangal this is the place to dine. We travelled from the West Midlands on recommendation and was not disappointed, lovely food, lovely Mezze and a chai 👌🏼well presented and lovely atmosphere with attentive staff 😁👍🏼

First time I've ordered from them. They were recommended to us by a family member and I'm glad I went for it. Had a Family Meal Deal and absolutely loved it. Good quality, all freshly made, very tasty with nice flavours to each dish. In terms of portions, I would say this specific dish feeds 3. To make it enough for 4 it would have to be 2 adults sharing with 2 kids. Only downside, no Amex or PayPal when ordering online.

Food was served, rice and lamb kofte. Usually this place gave it with bread and grilled onions/peppers as part of a meal - this wasnt provided. Enquired with the server (who was excellent), and he arranged to get the remainder of the meal. After finishing the food I asked to pay and handed over my card to be told its cash only. They didnt tell me this when I entered, a very rude lady pointed above their till to a tiny sign which says "cash only". Overall, 5* for the server, 0* for their customer service. If you going to eat here make sure you list everything you want one by one as per your meal, and make sure you take cash.

The food was nice and well presented but when you eat in you have unlimited bread with the Meze and when you have takeaway you have to py extra for bread and a heavy £3. I dont get the logic. it's the same price, not like it's cheaper for takeaway

Bought many times from here takeaway. Food is good no complaints Eaten in a few times only. Last time I did the waiter was a little rude and not helpful at all even though we were a big group. So we didn’t end up staying and we left.

If you want to experience Turkish food with probably the best atmosphere in a restaurant than this is the place to dine, or take-away. The people who serve you are very positive and the food is great. The decor inside the restaurant is beautiful. I struggled to keep my eye on one thing because there was a lot of great decor to look at. The food tastes great and will always make you smile. I would easily recommend this place to anyone who wants great food.

Great food with a consistent quality; prices have gone up considerably due to the current rise in the cost of living, however, portions are almost the same which is good. They do offer free Turkish tea which is worth a try!

Not what it used to be …. We always order the beyetti or chicken meal combination with rice salad and bread. The salad is now in the most smallest container, they have also stopped doing certain sauces but the most annoying complaint is that every single time I ask them not to forget to put the grilled onion and peppers in they still forget.! And he always says yes I’ve put it in ? It is advertised on the menu served with that but even a reminder whilst waiting at the counter is still not enough. The price really doesn’t reflect the food or service unfortunately, so I will be now looking for an alternative Turkish restaurant

We were very early for lunch, but the staff who were still cleaning still allowed us in, that was very nice of them, me and my friend wanted a quick lunch before we go town, the food was nice and it was quite, so we really enjoyed it, the staff really respectful. Defo going back again.

The staff are easy-going and helpful. The food is delicious, with reasonable portion sizes. The variety is somewhat limited, but I think that leads to better quality. Tables upstairs are a bit rickety, and it's really odd that we're given plastic cups to drink from. Some plates were dirty, but there was no fuss getting them replaced. I'd recommend this place to those who really enjoy their turkish food, but would recommend checking out the menu before coming.

Best Turkish restaurant in Leicester 💯

An amazing Turkish restaurant outside of the town area. We came here on a whim and upon reading the reviews decided to try it out. The starters were delicious and the sauces were so tasty we asked for more. The meat was cooked so well and was soft. I had the lamb chops and they're probably the best grilled chops I've ever had, soft succulent and delicious. The rice was buttery and we were all served fresh bread to dip into. Absolutely amazing food. It's cash only so be sure to have some, if not then there is a cash point a short walk away that charges £1.90

Ordered food from here a few times now... Hands down the best Turkish in town! Usually, in other restaurants, I find that the food is a little saltier however, this place did not disappoint. The chicken beyti, the spicy chicken, lamb sheesh and chicken sheesh was well-seasoned as well as, tender and the rice was seriously so good! Love the salad that came with it. The lamb sheesh was slightly hard but other than that banging and well packaged Turkish food! I think we found a family favourite and will be recommending to family and friends!
