Great breakfast here, quiet café with great food.

Coffee was mediocre and better elsewhere. Food was not good at all and so overpriced for what it was.

The woman serving us seemed so dismissive, irritable and unwelcoming in her attitude that I felt uncomfortable. When I asked for items on the menu they’d run out of she rolled her eyes as if I was stupid. Their toilets were out of both tissue and hand towels. When I let her know this as politely/ neutral as I could, rather than acknowledging the inconvenience or being happy to have the information, she turned away nodding her head vigorously as if she was annoyed. I can’t know why she behaved so unfriendly. We were the only Black customers in the place and she seems ok with some other customers (white & Asian) so we even wondered if this was discrimination. The man who was serving was friendly and welcoming however. Disappointed they aren’t serving the full menu that I used to come in regularly for. The hot chocolate was weak like warm brown milk in our opinion, but this is typical of most cafes in the UK. *update: response from owner shows the lack of understanding or taking responsibility: I’m very patient and understanding with challenges for small businesses. It is rudeness and being treated like you don’t want us there that is the real problem. I wouldn’t even have mentioned the other things if I had felt welcome and spoken to like a human being. The response is to blame customers and be ‘disappointed?’ with my review? And sulk by saying you won’t bother opening next year???

Very nice place, very nice food but the chef forgot to put the mushrooms on my plate off breakfast but it was resolved once I brought the issue up, albeit my meal was almost finished.

They said that the nata was better than in Portugal. It was . Nice people, nice place.

Must have gone on a bad day. Waitress was rude; when I asked her for a menu, she rolled her eyes then brought one to us. Only toasties available which were bland. Guy was on the phone when i ordered, didnt say anything to me, just showed me the amount on the card machine. Coffee was in a takeaway cup, even though we were sitting inside and they forgot our water. Coffee and toastie was fine.

Popped in for a coffee when visiting the excellent charity bookshops on Queens Road. Excellent service and top quality coffee - food looked great but that’ll be another visit

Had a lovely lunch here with the family. My wife and I had toasties, both of which were great, and her parents each had the halloumi burger. Everyone enjoyed their food, the atmosphere was pleasant, and everything was very reasonably priced. We'll definitely be coming back for lunch another time.

Very friendly, food is made fresh, I recommend Francesinha for tapas, it is bursting with flavours.

Just had the most amazing meal at Port & Nata, St. Martin's Square. Fabulous tapas style food and then a chicken and gizzard main with rye bread. I'll be back - stunning Oh, and what a selection of traditional Ports 🤣

The cafe was empty when I arrived, morning, and yet the tables were dirty and there was globs of food on the floor. The chairs and decor itself is very nice and enjoyable but would be much better clean. The waitress/barista was the most unfriendly waitress I have ever met. No warmth or kindness, just kind of barked what wasn’t available and seemed shocked we wanted to order. The coffee was very good - would recommend that. The food, which took a good 30-40 minutes to arrive (I had the French toast) was the worst. Slices of warbutons (?) bread covered in sugar and cinnamon, no egg mix or frying from what we could tell. The menu also had no Portuguese food on it. The menu in the shop is different to what is online too, so you will be disappointed in person. Maybe a good option if you wanted to get a coffee to go, but there are much nicer places to sit in and have breakfast.

Went there on a windy Sunday afternoon, nice weather for enjoying a cup of drink outside. Inside the cafe was too dark. When you go outside, you may want to sit in a place that’s cozy and cheerful, with light. To shelter myself from the wind, I sat next to the door so it was warmer but still bright. The service was nice, so was the coffee.

Website menu is out of date. This is now only a cafe doing breakfast and light lunch options rather than restaurant style meals. It is more Brit/Portuguese fusion than properly authentic dishes. I was hoping for salt cod so was disappointed on that score.

Nice coffee but a disappointing breakfast- very fatty bacon and the pastel de nata was very gluey and stuck to my teeth. Won’t visit again for food but would have coffee here. Staff were lovely and friendly though.

Lovely coffee. Asked for a brunch item, some ingredients not available. I think if there'd been a smile, a sorry and an offer of a menu I would have eaten something else but it was a blanket "we can't make that" so I didn't bother. Not sure I'll be back as not a very friendly service. Shame as its a very pretty cafe evoking happy memories of Lisbon.

So far I've only been here for the Pasteis de Nata and I got a box of 6 freshly out of the oven, amd they were simply divine! Best ones so far in Leicester!! I'm curious about the whole menu so planning a dinner out with friends soon! 😁

Stopped in for a coffee with a friend. Ordered twice. Both times the drinks were brought to us. Nice chilled atmosphere and reasonably priced. Recommend it

wanting to miss a typical Portuguese cafe, we visited this cafe which on the internet says it closes at 4pm, we went in at 2am, when we asked for a coffee we were told they didn't have any, we ended up asking for pastel de nata and they replied that we only had 8 minutes! a bad experience not to be repeated!

Good atmosphere. Staff were ok. Coffee was good. Pastel de natas the best I've had outside of Portugal and a lot better than many in Portugal. My only real complaint is the toilets. Fundamentally the toilets in a food establishment should be clean. It's important. They were very far from clean. Looked like they hadn't been cleaned for a week. Come on guys, get it together, everything is is good.

Upon arrival, we were told that a table would be made up for us there and then so we would only need to wait 5 minutes. 15 minutes later, we were finally shown to a table and received no apology. We ordered quickly and, as the restaurant wasn't too busy at this point, assumed we would be served relatively swiftly. 25 minutes later we were still waiting for our drinks and decided it wasn't worth waiting any longer. Upon asking for a refund due to the poor service, we weren't given an apology. This was an incredibly disappointing visit to a restaurant we hoped would become a regular haunt of ours.

Great breakfast, will go again.. Jan 2023 update. Went again and I think food was a bit lethargic, fried egg and bun toast could be a bit better and a bit more Haloomi.. it pricy too as Two pound material used in toast, beans, haloomi strip, fried and scrambled egg, two baby tomatoes and crusged olive sold for 11 pounds. Coffee was OK too (latte was filtered coffee with hot milk). Sweat toast option was dry and cold though fruit topping was fresh... I think issue is there is not much competition for brunch places to get better....

Nice and cosy venue but a but some of the items are overpriced for what you get. The oat bowl for £6.95 was extremely basic and my partner ordered a cheese toastie for £4+ but this was fair value. Good ambience and authentic friendly staff however made up the shortfall for the shortfalls.

We booked this for a pre Christmas brunch, great place, great location, lovely friendly staff, and the food is spot on! We've been herevacfew times and never been disappointed.

I came to watch my wife run the half marathon and google for a local cafe to grab some breakfast while she was running. I found this little place which was great. Good value for money.

Massive, terminal decline in quality over the last few months. I've been to Port and Nata probably around a dozen times in the last 12 months, and to see how poor it has gotten is really saddening. When I started coming here the Bifana was a really enjoyable take on a ham sandwich (they don't do it anymore), the Hamburger Alheira was simply incredible, one of the best things I've ever had at a cafe (they don't do it anymore either) and the fried chicken sandwich was great too (despite what the website says I went this weekend and it wasn't there). Now I go and get charged £9 for a slice of toast with some scrambled egg and chorizo, or £11 for that with some undercooked bacon. I know things are really difficult at the moment for cafes, and I used to love Port and Nata, but I couldn't possibly recommend going here with the way the food is now.

I'll start by saying the staff were very nice and friendly. They were the best part about our visit as they were very nice to talk to. The food was disappointing, we had cheese, fish and prawn patties which weren't anything special but the real let down was the Francesinha. It's supposed to be a very popular dish in Porto but everyone in our party was very unimpressed. It's basically a ham and cheese toastie with a slice of beef and choriso, covered in a plastic tasting cheese, a VERY salty tomato sauce and a fried egg in top. Unfortunately none of us finished it, leaving most of it as it we could not eat it. I would love to say I would go again and give them another chance but their menu is very limited, I can't see anything I would want to try.

Very friendly staff..menu limited as arrived late lunchtime for brunch but this was clearly explained. Portuguese tapas deal recommended three for 12.95... Bread very tasty and fish pate although in sealed container very tasty...bread could have eaten by itself..apparently spainish...like a fat flatbread!! Fishcakes OK...3 of them and shrimp tapas came in crispy breadcrumbs. Small side salad. All fried but not to greasey. Spanish coffee sweet. Dark decor but OK as very hot day. Will return earlier for more extensive menu try

Favourite place on queens road! Great food and coffee!

After spending some time in Porto, my partner and I were craving some traditional Portuguese food. We ordered some of the small plates consisting of fishcakes and croquettes. Unfortunately these were not fresh, you could tell them were taken straight from the freezer into the fryer then dumped on a bed of rocket which was wilting. The staff are lovely and the restaurant is nice, unfortunately the food really let's it down. Come on guys, what happened to fresh?

We found this place by chance and were not disappointed! Their lemon rice with smoky tofu was full of flavour! So nice to see vegetarian/vegan options on the menu

Cracking spot - we came for dinner on a Friday night, and it was fairly quiet. I feel like it won't be so quiet for long! The service is exceptional, extremely friendly owner and staff. We had great wine, lovely food and of course some port and nata to round out the meal. I think this is one of those rare places where you could come at any time of the day and it would be great - the breakfasts and lunches look incredible too, as does the coffee. We'll definitely be back soon!

This place is great! I had a wonderful full english breakfast with an amazing Portuguese twist! Essentially it's vertical!! Please see my photo as it's hard to describe, but when you taste the Portuguese sausage and a version of hash browns, with Heinz beans and two types of egg and sausage etc. Incredibly delicious!!

Coffee is fine but you come for the Nata which are warm and lovely.

Decent food, twice we've been now and the customer service is non existent. How hard is it to greet your customers? At least say hello..? A nice smile? How's your day? Didn't feel welcomed at all and as a result we left. Please please work on your meet and greets and stop being so dull.

First time visiting today and won't be the last. We didn't book a table and despite being busy we were offered a table. Ordered a couple of oatmeal cappuccino's to drink before placing our food order. We ordered the XL fusion and mini fusion breakfasts'. Little bit of a wait for our orders but we were advised of this . Was only around a 20 minute wait for our food and was well worth it, very good portions and very tasty. Our oatmeal cappuccino's were delicious, great coffee , expertly made by Derry ! Thanks, Miteche and your team, we will be back again !! Best wishes Darron & Peggy, Knighton.

Love to visit my daughter - only from Northants, but how Id love a place like this at home, away from the "coffee chains!" A perfect latte, not too milky n wishy washy, gorgeous and a filling toastie. Love it here guys...don'y change a thing! 😋

Great food, and great coffee. Really tasty food whether breakfast or lunch. We had a variety of sandwiches and street boxes for lunch. Followed up by coffee and Portuguese custard tarts which are AMAZING. At weekends you can get a Francesinha which has to be seen to be believed!

This was our first time visiting from Devon and certainly will not be our last. The owners are really professional and friendly. The menu was simple but had a good variety amd the qualuty of the ingredients was first class. An excellent experience.

The food and drinks were good and the staff very friendly but the constantly flickering lights made me feel ill and we had to go elsewhere for the next drink. Hopefully that can be sorted out soon.

Came here for breakfast with 8 friends, the food was really delicious and the coffees were great, I'd never tried a Spanish latte before! They had gluten-free options for a friend who is coeliac. The waitress was really friendly and helpful, would highly recommend, better than a traditional full English!

Oh my days what a little treasure this place is! Have stopped for coffee and natas before but having brunch here was next level. Had the French toast and it was ​incredible. Fab service from Natalia too, what a lovely place. Definitely will be coming back soon

Slightly disappointed that I visited on a Sunday as only the breakfast menu was available. Would have been great to try a speciality dish! However, the vegetarian breakfast was a good choice.... The halloumi with the olive tapenade and the juiciness of the cherry tomatoes!Tasty mushrooms!Well cooked eggs. Appealing dish. The smell in the restaurant was divine... A Cinammon aroma filled the air and it was a very warm venue on a cold/wet day. Great staff, if I were to visit Leicester again, I'd make a trip for sure!

We were there previously for the first time for coffee/chai which was lovely 😁. This time we had tried their food which was a really great experience 🤩, delicious sharing starter of crab meat and chicken with tomatoes rice for main, yummy! Fab services from Hardique🤩🤩. With relaxing and cosy atmosphere!! I will certainly go again. ☺️😄

First time I've eaten here. Food looked good and some nice flavours, but far too oily. I had potatoes with vegan sausage, halloumi cheese, fried green beans. Very greasy which was a shame.

I had such a positive feedback from my mates who constantly visit this establishment. Unfortunately I visited the place and was unable to eat as as soon as I sat down the lad came up to me and said the table was reserved. No notes were onthe table and no option was given to the customer (me). It does not matter how good your product is if you're customer service skills are poor. So I say their customer service skills need a lot of improvement. Maybe you and the team got distracted as there was no sign on the table. And if your strive on giving good customer service you find or provide an option to your customer never let them leave empty handed if they came for something. Kindest Regards

Really enjoyed the Natas, this place is well worth a visit.

Beautifully cooked Portuguese food that surpassed much of the food we have tasted both in the UK and Portugal itself. We found this relatively new 5 star hygiene rated cafe by accident whilst exploring the local area in the morning, and having been so impressed by the coffee and Nata we had within stylish and warm surroundings decided to come back later for our evening meal. The team serving and Tiago the main chef were welcoming and attentive. You can tell that much pride and skill has been taken in creating the 3 different menus - breakfast, lunch and evening which offer a well balanced choice of food at an affordable price. The drinks menu also offers an extensive range of beverages . For us sadly it is a 2 hour drive to have the pleasure of visiting this cafe , but we definitely plan to come back in the near future

This place is incredible! The owner is so passionate as is the head chef and this is reflected in the food & service - on both occasions, the owner & head chef took the time to speak to us. The breakfast is second to none and better than any other spot on Queens Road! We'll be back to try the vegan breakfast next! Portuguese is not just chicken & chips!

Amazing place to have a nice meal and a good time. Being Portuguese living in the UK for so many years, it is nice that I can get get food that reminds me of my home town, without having to get on a plane. Also, the staff is very friendly and the service is simply brilliant. I recommend the francesinha, the breakfast plates and definitely the codfish plate! I just wish I had a second stomach sometimes, so I can eat more there 🤭 the place is vegetarian / vegan friendly 👍🏻

The food was well presented and flavourful. The place itself was well decorated. Excellent customer service; the staff were really friendly and especially George who was very welcoming and cheerful. Overall a great experience and we all enjoyed ourselves.

I loved it! I wondered if it would live up to the hype and it really did. Already planning a return visit with others. I think what set it apart from other places is how lovely, happy and friendly George was. We had no clue what to order and he was great with his recommendations. I also loved his special Sangria!
