Fantastic, soft and fresh doorstep sandwich. Jacket potato with ample fillings to choose from. Delicious cakes on offer. Many gluten free and vegan options available. Will definitely return when in the area.

Always lovely good and friendly staff, that make you feel welcome..dog friendly to which is nice especially when I go with my gran and my boys as my boys love dogs. Never too noisy but always steady to busy but always seem to be able to get a seat. Highly recommend

Quite nice for a snack and coffee

A simple brunch costs around £20. The space in the store is not large, but the circulation is clear. The small drawback is that the front and rear tables are a bit crowded. I saw customers bringing dogs in. It must be a pet-friendly store👍 The food is simple but delicious. It also comes with pepper and the coffee is quite large. It is a small shop with quality. Friendly reminder: Please eat eggs Benedict with a knife and fork! (Only food with bread on the top and bottom can be taken with your hands!)

Homely food at a reasonable price

Needed to kill a bit of time so decided in this cafe on Queens Road as looked nice from the outside and a few people inside which is always a good sign. Coffee good and staff very pleasant. Only complaint was the size of croissant for 3.25!!!!

The air quality and ventilation in this café need an urgent improvement. The smell of oil filled the place, making it impossible to breathe. For the sake of your staff and customers, please do something. Well, the latte I ordered for takeaway was more like coffee flavored milk than coffee with milk added. The sweetness of milk was the first and probably the only thing I tasted. The only thing that lit up this place was the waitress who was so nice and polite.

I'm not a regular but this place is Far too overcomplicated for me. Food good, a little on the expensive side tho.

Went here for breakfast, eggs were unseasoned and microwaved which for the price is pretty disappointing. The place overall just needs a bit of a refresh. A lot of wear on the walls / skirtings / furniture etc. However service is always quick and the atmosphere is always pleasant.

Lots of different choices on the menu, including the option to upgrade a breakfast to a larger size.

There are a few coffee and light meal options on Queens Road but this was the one with the queue which indicated that it would be good coffee - which it definitely was. Take your time browsing a couple of charity book and music shops then dive in here for a coffee

Had breakfast with my wife and smallest child.. not too busy at 10.30am and service was very quick and efficient. Premises well presented with menus on walls with lots of pictures to peruse.. comfortable seating. I have scramble egg on 2 brown doorstep toast with bacon with pot of tea to share .. I must say food was very good. Well done.

Fingerprints is one among many coffeehouses on Queens Road. Of those, Fingerprints has the highest seating capacity. The tables are kept clean and the service is fast. They do serve a full menu of lunches which set the place apart from its competitors. They also retails jams and condiments and other similar foodstuffs made by neighbourhood locals. Prices, coffee, and food are all good enough for Clarendon Park

Vegetarian breakfast was delicious plus it is dog friendly which is amazing.

A great place for breakfast and lunch, been going there since we moved to Leicester and the staff are always welcoming and the food is always spot on.

I've never visited here before, however I'd arranged to meet some friends for breakfast. I walked in to the cafe with a friend and promptly had to walk out as it smelt very bad and made both me and my friend nauseous. The cafe was unclean looking with food marks on the walls and just tired and dirty looking decor. The person serving also put us off by wiping his face with both hands then continuing to serve people. Not a place I would want to eat in. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Arrived on Sunday morning, none of the staff acknowledged for 5 minutes. I asked where the menus were and the waitress didn’t look up from the till and just pointed at the blackboard behind her. We decided to leave go to somewhere else on Queens Road. Won’t be visiting again or recommending.

Came here for lunch. Always receive a warm welcome from the staff. Enjoyed the vegan spinach and lentil roll. Partner had the Jamaican chicken wrap. Good portion sizes, good prices and offer student discount. Can’t wait to come back!

Awful atmosphere, great service. Prime location. However, it smelly terrible inside, I don’t know what it is but it just reeks of something so weird.

Guy who works the mornings mid week is excellent nothing is to much! And he makes a cracking flat white!! Music is nice to listen to! Beats the snobbery of the places down the road!! Top job!

We enjoyed our visit here. The staffs were welcoming and helpful. Our English Breakfast Tea was served to near perfection. The cake was delicious.

I must say I am quite surprised by some of the reviews below. It may be they have made some improvements recently. Visited last week with a friend during the day to get some work done and have a late lunch. The staff were nice and helpful. The menu is quite extensive. The falafel wrap and the big portion of nachos was pleasant for a quick lunch. It seems to have a community feel to it. The table to the left had an elderly couple enjoying a french press between them while reading the paper. There was a group of students behind who appeared to be having a very late breakfast. The only aspect I found odd was it seems all coffee is served with a single shot of coffee as standard and a double shot is extra.

Very sweet little cafe in the heart of the Queen's Road. All sorts of lovely things on the menu but nothing really more than a snacky lunch, not full hot lunch. But good quality nevertheless. Will be back.

We arrived at 945 on a Sunday. The man at the door said we are closed. As it was raining I thought he'd let us in. Then 10 minutes after that another man entered and unlocked the door. Saying nothing. Still raining and we were left standing. All I wanted was to be let in out of the rain. At 10 We guessed we could go in. Went up to the counter and asked to be served. We had decent meal, but we had to ask for everything.

Travelled other end of Leicester to enjoy this cafe as I've received, by word of mouth, that this cafe is extremely well portioned with food and the atmosphere is very pleasant. However, me and a couple of friends ordered food and drinks from here all of which had some fault, whether lack of products, slow service or cold, bland food and almost like dirty water. I wouldn't recommend this place and will surely not be coming again.

Very tasty food, and it's fresh. I experienced a 15 min wait for my food, which I was told about, and it was worth it. Coffee was also very good, and served how I like my black coffee.. Espresso with a side of hot water, so I can mix it to taste.

Just finished a bite to eat in here and can safely say I won’t be going back... how hard can it be to make cheese and beans on toast... Well, very difficult if my experience is anything to go by. I asked for cheese on toast with beans on top, every other time the cheese is melted and the beans on top, perfect! Well not today... instead I got unbuttered toast with lukewarm beans and grated cheese. I checked three times with the girl that brought my food to me and she assured me the cheese on the top was to ‘make it look pretty’ whilst rolling her eyes! I even approached the manager at the end to say ‘it’s not up to your usual standard’ and his reply was ‘well you should have said’ and he clearly didn’t believe me when I said the toast was unbuttered. So I would save yourselves the bother and pop the The Northern Cobbler a little further up the road.

Hate to say this but I had a truly awful experience today. Went for lunch at noon. Advertised soup was not available, the quiche wasn’t ready as it was “a lunch item”. Finally chose avocado toast which was served with a half-hearted apology from the waitress that the avocado was a “bit hard”. Inedible. At least they refunded it without a fuss. Won’t be going back.

Our local favourite. This cafe is the best we've found in the area - lots of lunch time options (baked potato with humous + roast veg is one of my faves) and happy to be flexible with ingredients for fussy eaters.

Always friendly and comfortable. Delicious, healthy food. Great independent cafe.

Great food good value good vegan options

I was really impressed with the range of vegan options served. One of the best ranges I’ve come across. I had the bakewell slice and it was incredible. The gentleman who served me on Thursday (sorry not sure of his name) was lovely and welcoming. Will always come back to Fingerprints. Definitely my favourite place in Clarendon Park.

I really like this cafe and will always choose it when in the Clarendon Park area. The staff are excellent. Fantastic coffee and a great selection of freshly cooked food. However, the one negative for me is the overriding greasy food smell. If you eat here the likelihood is that your clothes will remind you of your visit long after you have left. If it had decent (or any) working extraction system it would get five stars from me.

Stopped by after school to get some lunch and also had the hot chocolate. Staff are friendly. Lots of moms and babies with their strollers around. The hot chocolate was good and topped with marshmallows! (so cute) Good place to meet up with someone for a hot drink.

Con nuevas tiendas de café y restaurante la apertura de huellas digitales cerca debería considerar la renovación y revisado el menú.

Paramos para tomar un aperitivo por la tarde byvhere y ambos fuimos para un batido de caramelo y vainilla -. Estas estaban deliciosos! ! Yo tenía un sandwich de queso y cebolla y pan tostado de mi otra mitad tenía una galleta grande. Ambos estaban muy sabrosos. En general muy buen servicio, agradable para sentarse afuera y muy bien de precio. Recomiendo

Locally run cafe. Wasn't busy but we were early. Ordered coffee and tea cake. Coffee in 3 pots, one for the coffee itself, one for hot water and one for milk. Not quite what we were expecting but still very nice.

I visit my daughter regularly and we always go to fingerprints for breakfast or lunch. The latte is the best I've had and they are one of the few places that still give a biscuit with the coffee. The food is always fresh and interesting. The staff are friendly and lovely. It's great having a place like this so close to my daughters house

I love fingerprints, every time me and my boyfriend are in Leicester he wants to go. Love the range of food here, there is always something I fancy. Food is freshly made and not just put in the microwave or made earlier. Nice atmosphere and community feel. Also quite cheap and they do student discount as well.

Stumbled across this place whilst killing time whilst my wife visited the dentist - very friendly service and quality food - I only had a Jacket Potatoe and a side salad which could easily have been wrong - however, really tasty, fresh salad and a great welcome. Will definatey return when im next killing time..

Went in for lunch today. Figured I'd have a latte and a cookie as well. Everything was fantastic. Bread was great on the sandwich. Their Cajun potato wedges were great. Definitely recommend.

I've been coming here with my best mate regularly for a while, and for good reason. This little cafe on Queens road - 5 mins walk from the university campus - really is something special. The staff are so friendly, the food is fantastic - great veggie, vegan and gluten-free options too - and there's a little outside seating area on the front of the cafe where you can sit and chill on a sunny day. Also STUDENT DISCOUNT!!!

Was in the area and chanced upon Fingerprints. Found a lovely venue with great coffee, food and service. The staff were friendly and there seemed to be a lot of regulars. A nice treat

If you're in the proximity of the University of Leicester take a pleasurable - and short - walk across the park to Queen's Road and enjoy delicious lunch or dinner at this delicafe.Generously prepared, the only diminutive aspect to your meal will be the price. I enjoyed on successive days, Thai, Coronation and Basil Chicken Salads (with multiple additions such as goat's cheese and olives) - a refreshing change to institutional refectories.

Really enjoyed our morning coffee at Fingerprints, with friendly & helpful staff. Nice cafe it feels good. Great menu to choose from but this time I enjoyed coffee and a Cookie. Toilets have baby changing facilities.

I've lived in the Clarendon Park area for a very long time, but had never come to Fingerprints before.My partner and I came here for a light lunch and were very happy with the service we received.The gentleman who took our order was very friendly, as were all the staff. There was definitely a sense of community in Fingerprints, as many customers appeared to be regulars and spoke to the staff and other customers as good friends. I love places like this as it makes me feel more comfortable and like I'm part of the area.Our food took quite a while to arrive, 2 Paninis, however it was lunchtime and there were lots of other customers. You can see right into the kitchen so you can be sure the staff are definitely working on it. When our food did arrive, it was delicious. There were also a lot of drinks to offer, such as a large selection of teas, coffees and cold drinks. I would've liked more options for sides, eg, chips, or a larger selection of salads, however for such a small place I feel it would be difficult for them to offer more. I just felt like I left still feeling slightly hungry and would've welcomed a portion of chips alongside my panini, but none were on offer.We will definitely be re-visiting Fingerprints in future!

I have been going here for a long time, and love the food, drinks, prices and friendly atmosphere, but am sometimes finding the time the tables dirty, covered in dishes and old food and not cleared, often only clearing them when you order and then squirting the cleaner on while you are there, and the staff do not always seem happy to clear as they are busy. This makes dining here less congenial, unfortunately. Also several people come in with Kids and it can get very messy and noisy, with crumbs all over the floor.

Well they obviously do not read their reviews as the service is just as bad as ever. Amateur staff. Hands go straight from handling cash to picking up cakes and biscuits without a glove or a tong: disgusting.This is definitely the last time......

The place has changed a bit in lay out since my visit here as a student. But the service and the quality of the offering has improved if not remained at the high standard. A wonderful, welcoming relaxing place to meet, sit, or chat on Queens Roads.

My husband and I went in for brunch on Good Friday. No where else would you get genuinely friendly service, scrummy food and good coffee with change from a tenner. Fingerprints never fails to impress. We love it and would highly recommend. This is what community feels like.

Having recently moved away from Leicester, I'm really getting withdrawal symptoms for this lovely little place! Fingerprints has been my regular coffee/study spot over the past few years; they offer student discount, it's all reasonably priced, and there's a great selection for vegetarians. What I miss the most about this place is its vibe - always abuzz with conversation, friends meeting for coffee, and really friendly staff. Even when it's busy, you never feel rushed. Fingerprints is an independent doing it exactly right.

Had passed by several times and it had always been busy - this time we passed by on a Sunday morning and it was still very busy. But we managed to get a table. Food was excellent! Thai special on the board for £3.95 was superb. Service very good and the overall value for money was fantastic. So, we suggest avoiding the Costa over the road and try and get in here. Less than £12 for two nice drinks and two plates of homemade sandwiches is great stuff. The place deserves to continue to prosper.

Fingerprints is one of my regular places for lunch. The sandwiches and paninis are delicious and the place is very inviting. Great for a little coffee or lunch break.

After a fair number of visits.... The service is soooo sloooow. And the fact that it is served on prissy little oblong plates does not compensate for the delay. As for the coffee itself: very average. On the same week we had a number of coffees/mochas/cappucinos etc in a number of places in the Midlands, this was acceptable only. Table clearance between customers needs to be improved. Ambience: better than before the revamp. The need to employ a real pro behind the counter because the place has loads of potential.

Finger Prints is a local favourite. My most recent visit was to have coffee with a friend. The lemon drizzle cake was great but a bit too sugary. I hope they low sugar foods, I just haven't checked it. The staff are nice and friendly.

Me and my friend were visiting my sisters shop on the same road so we decided too eat at Fingerprints.Well what a little gem of a place!!Warm friendly efficient staff to start with.We both had the falafel,hommous and roasted veg panni.It was really really outstanding.Jam packed with delicious pipping hot ingredients,could,nt of asked for a nicer panni.Deffinatly be back.

Please please CLEAN AND WIPE TABLES. I've been here every week for 2 months. I come varied times and I've watched how a table will not be clared and when it is finally cleared it is not wiped. People like this place. I like it but each time I come here I have to clear the table myself and it remains sticky. To the point my tea pot stuck to it so hard that when I pulled, it spilled. 'Twas like glue come on. CLEAN UP ITS NOT NICE TO SIT BY someone's rubbish and DIRT. THEN I may be back. I

Recently visited with my husband and toddler for lunch and we were very impressed with the large and inexpensive menu. The cafe itself is quite small but cosy, the majority of the clientele were students but we didn't feel out of place and the staff were extremely welcoming. The food was nice although the jacket potato wasn't very well cooked but this was quickly rectified by one of the staff. We will definitely be returning and will happily recomment this cafe to family and friends.

Lovely cup of earl grey, chai latte and a cappuchino. Very reasonable prices. Range of cakes and lunchtime food. Baked beans on toast for £2.50 for example. They serve soya milk if you need it.

Have used this cafe many times for coffee, occasional cake, and internet access. Always found the staff to be very friendly and efficient.

Always love coming here with friends for lunch and a chat. The staff are friendly and always offer a service with a smile.The food is always served in large portions - I've had everything from the paninis and jacket potatoes, to the spring rolls, and every time I've been happy and satisfied.The only downside I can think of is that the place is too small! Many time we have ended up going to costa because the place is jammed. Would highly recommend this cafe!

Had a lovely latte there on a midweek morning following shopping on Queens Road. Really good coffee, nicely served in a long glass on a saucer with a little gingery biscuit in the side, which complimented the coffee really well. Very cosy cafe, popular with students, young mums and people of all ages, really! Food looks lovely - although I've never actually eaten there. Magazines are available to read there, which is a nice touch, and also a small selection of very reasonable greetings cards.

This great little deli café has a great family feel. It's a bit quirky, but offers good food at fair prices so you don't have to go over budget. On Saturday mornings it's crammed with people and friends chatting. You never feel hurried here so it's great for conversation or to read the paper over their highly to be recommended bacon muffins. The spiced and vanilla chais are also delicious. Lots of local information on the doors, a goo place for students to bring their parents. There are many regulars who know each other and it's very friendly. it is also clean, the service is excellent and the team work well together. The food is just right for meeting friends informally, something for every taste.

This little cafe shows how an independent small business can provide an excellent local service. This café is amazing - I'm not normally one for coffee shops but this is my exception. Great food, great drinks, and well within a student budget! The staff are great and the atmosphere is lovely. Can't wait to go back. Definitely try their vanilla chai, it's delicious.
