Went to konak for birthday dinner in oct 24 food was great unhappy with service staff favoured the white customers favouritism due to ethnicity giving free baklavad not offered to the 2 asian families Disgusted by this behaviour

Great food, great service, great atmosphere, reasonable restaurant price 👍. Service is fast and accurate and serves a wide menu of delicious things not my last time. Fresh and Authentic.

We went here after a night out Arrived around 9.50 pm Was told we shut at 11 pm this should have been a good warning The food was bland expensive and small portions Staff was rushing around trying to to clean up and get customers out so the could close We left around 10.50 pm Will not be returning

This place is superb, visited on Friday night before going to De Montford Hall and it’s excellent. Really busy, well priced with excellent food. Unfortunately, we were in a rush but great staff, see the food cooking and it was amazing. Highly recommended when in this part of Leicester.

Beautiful and up market restaurant. Very good location and extremely busy. Staff received our group of 12 and took us to our pre-booked table online. Very polite and friendly staff, and the service was faultless. Food was flavoursome and good portions. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for Turkish food in Leicester.

Food here is great, service and atmosphere is also very nice. The only thing is they don’t support the boycotts that the majority are supporting, I think it’s now September 2024 and if you haven’t made the necessary changes then you’re either in support of Zionism or turning a blind eye to the people of Palestine.

Loved loved the food here! Stagf were amazing, quick to help. Toilet facilities were really cleaning.. we came on a really busy night so it's understandable why the food took a while to come, but I would come again alot if I lived nearby.

Food was very tasty. I do think for the price the portion size and presentation could be much better. Hope kitchen staff tale my suggestion on board! Recommend if coming with friends or family.

The food tasted nice. Whereas a friend thought taste was average. The portion size was very very small considering the price. We ordered £78 worth of food and it was not filling for 3. I've been to places where we have ordered more of the same style of food for half the price. On the bright side, the service was good and relatively quick. But good service doesn't negate price value. Personally would not go again. Mainly due to portion sizes being very small and not worth it.

Best doner/shawarma I had in the UK. Staff are friendly and attentive. Each dish I had is prepared in good portions, with quality ingredients and tastes amazing. My favourite is Lamb Shawarma. After the meal they serve tea and lokum treats for free. Price really good Quality really good Portions really good Taste amazing Service amazing

I recently dined at Konak to try their Turkish cuisine and my experience was pretty average. The menu offered a variety of good Turkish dishes. The appetizers, like the mix meze and mix hot meze were good, and the bread was fresh and warm. However, the main course was a miss. The lamb kebab was not well cooked and very chewy and the chicken was a bit dry and lacked enough salt and spices. The salad sides were ok. The wait time for our food was longer than expected, especially considering the restaurant wasn’t very busy.

Real Turkish Restaurant Halal Food Center In leicester

I recently visited this restaurant and had a mixed experience. Upon arrival, we had to wait 20 minutes for a table, as none were available. Once seated, we inquired about steak options and were told they had steak. However, when we ordered, we were informed that sirloin was not available. I wish they had been more specific initially. Additionally, I ordered the lamb shawarma, but it was unavailable, so I opted for the lamb shish instead. Despite these hiccups, the food was good, and we enjoyed our meal.

We ordered a large variety of dishes. The food was really good and the service was also excellent. In the end, they gave us complimentary turkish tea. I love Turkish hospitality. I have been here many times with family and friends. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. Lots of space and very professional.

We had a family get together and decided on a Turkish. The restraunt was getting busy but the staff maintained their friendly approach spending at much time with customers as they required. The food was well cooked and presented with pride. We will certainly visit again.

Lachmacun was delicious and fresh. The lamb shish was hard and chewy. Adana kabab was the best. The complimentary bread was hard and stale. I would pay for fresh bread rather than complimentary old bread. Service was very nice . Went for lunch in a weekday . Prices are higher as compared to other Turkish restaurants in the city.

One of our all time favourite restaurants. Absolutely love Konak. The food is on another level, the manager / owner is always very welcoming and his father makes the best shawarma ever! We love Konak and make the 50mile trip often just for this meal and evening out. Worth every pound as there food is amazing.

Visited konak on a Friday night. We prebooked our table on the phone. We still had to wait a short while as the place was jam packed with diners. Despite the busy night, the food arrived in a reasonable time. We ordered the hot mezze platter and a mix grill platter. We thoroughly enjoyed the food. The service was great too. The prices are very reasonable.

Very possibly my favourite restaurant in Leicester, a great place for special occasions. Like a proper Turkish meal, little mezzes, olives, breads, and salads (all delicious by the way) land on your table just before you've finished the previous course, so that the guest is treated to a continuous cornucopia of yummy bites. The mains may be meat-heavy, but vegetarian options are abundant, including the pides (Turkish stuffed-breads "pizzas"). When you finish your meal here, you will also be treated to a very good cup of Turkish tea in a tulip glass with a nice bit of Turkish delight. Prices are fair

The falafel was a little dry which is why they got four stars for food. The bread and everything else that we tried was stellar. This place is very popular and I'm sure the falafel was just having an off day. The bathrooms were incredibly clean and I used them often. The staff could not have been more friendly.

I went tonight I spent over £100 I was little bit late finishing my dinner waiter’s came 3/4 times and say we are close 11 o’clock 2/3 waiter’s starting front of my table and looking at my table 1 after 1 came in my table and cleaning the table I can’t finish my tea that time 11.10 pm I paid my bills before 11 o’clock after that I walked way with my family without saying anything. I feel very very bad. Date-18 May 1024

Edit for May 2024: We felt rushed again, starters being left on the table silently, mains being left on the table when the starter was still being eaten. Food was still nice though although I'm not a fan of Turkish pizza, sorry, the Italians do it better. Original: Great food and service, reasonable prices. Sometimes it feels like you're being rushed though, ie main course arriving not long after the starter.

I have to say the quality and the food quantity have both reduced significantly and they do not reflect on what you pay. I ordered a meat feast it was hardly enough for 2 people. I won’t be eating Konak again.

We recently had the pleasure of dining at Konak Leicester Turkish Cuisine to celebrate my sister's birthday May 12th. it was a delightful experience. We opted for the platters, and we were not disappointed. The starters were simply fantastic, providing an authentic taste of Turkish cuisine. The Turkish lamb and chicken shish and kofta kebab was the highlight of our meal, with excellent cuts of meat and grill that was cooked to perfection. The chops were also cooked medium rare with crispy clean juicy fat leaving us wanting more. The salads that accompanied our meal were beautifully adorned with sumac lemon and pickles, adding a burst of flavor to each bite. The attention to detail in the presentation was evident. What truly stood out during our visit was the welcoming and lovely staff. They went out of their way to make our birthday celebration special, even offering complimentary tea and baklava. The attentive service was truly appreciated. Thank you kubra and staff. Additionally, the restaurant was a haven from the hot weather outside. The air conditioning provided a cool and comfortable atmosphere, without any unpleasant grill heat or smells. Konak Leicester Turkish Cuisine consistently exceeds our expectations. From the delicious food to the excellent service and ambience, it was a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to indulge clean, fresh, satisfying authentic Turkish cuisine. We couldn’t take photos of all the food because we just dived into it straight away. Kids loved the chicken wings. Restaurant very friendly and welcoming for children. Konak has become of the most prominent Turkish restaurants in Leicester. Many follow the same pattern - grilled meat, fresh bread and dips with olives, well-dressed salads and a selection of desserts. Having eaten here a few times, the food, service and busy atmosphere are always of a good standard. As one would expect it is also a clean place. For larger groups at busier times, a reservation would be worthwhile. This restaurant always has a steady stream of customers. This is in walking distance of the train station up London Road and is situated in an area dominated by eateries and dessert places.

The food was nice, it was a long wait on fresh bread. It was only brought out once the waiting team was reminded, the lahamcun came with the mains even though it’s normally out as a starter. Over the years the portions have become much smaller, no individual salad on the plate- just a sharing plate. Understandable if the purpose is to reduce waste, but the prices have also crept up massively. The yogurt Adana is now nearly £20 a portion (relatively small portion) Waiting staff were friendly but the food did take a while to come out and again, with the prices charged the service was lacking!

6 of us out for a meal, our friend booked us a table for Saturday evening. We were all very impressed with the quality of food and service.

Very reasonably priced and decent sized portions for an average belly, Konak is the place to go with family or friends alike. Always busy and buzzing, this place always served fresh food, cooked to order and always had fresh meat. Definitely recommend. Paid parking available on street, vegetarian options available, some GF items available too. WC accessible and some limited, child-friendly dishes available too.

We were looking for somewhere to eat and came here as a first experience and what a treat! The food portions are plentiful and very tasty. I love that you can see the chef cooking and he seemed like he was brilliant. The people who work there were all very friendly and really helpful. We will definitely be returning and really happy to have found this gem.

Food is always delicious and consistent every time we eat here! We were party of 8, food arrived together so we could all eat at the same time and each individual loved their selection of food including the children! Staff are very attentive, efficient and polite. A shout out to the young hijabi lady (wearing a headscarf) who attended to us yesterday evening - nothing was too much trouble and was extremely courteous. Thank you for a wonderful experience. We were a large group, and service was great, food was tasty and quick, and everyone was happy. The restaurant was busy too, which made the experience so much better as we could have waited a long time potentially but didn't. Would recommend to and would visit again for sure

It is very nice to have such a place in the wild, but I think it should change and improve itself a little, it is a very crowded and noisy environment on busy days, it would be more attractive to eat in a decent environment...

Leicester's best! A warm welcome awaited us at the entrance and they welcomed us like guests. Turkish classics were playing inside and the decoration was made accordingly. I liked the atmosphere very much. Almost all of the employees were Turkish and they were all extremely sweet and friendly people. Meat doner may be the best I've ever eaten, I'm not exaggerating, it was that good. 10/10 in terms of price and performance, definitely try it and send our greetings from Turkey 👋🏻

Visited here with family, what a beautiful Turkish cuisine I must say Adana kofta is a must from here so is there nimbu juice very helpful staff would recommend coming here

Lovely place for Iftar. Gave us complimentary Turkish tea and complimentary desserts. Food is 10/10 & very filling large portions. Will definitely be coming back again.
