Boo in Derby

Love boo burger food is always 11/10 very nice interior and it’s always clean too. Love how spacious it is inside and they always clean up after customers have left. I hate eating somewhere where all the floors and tables are dirty. Staff are all lovely and always go the extra mile

Chips were hard to eat as too crispy the burger was ok the best thing was the milkshake

No queue but food took a while to come, overpriced and fairly standard food, wouldn't recommend

I have been waiting a long time to try this place out sadly it was a disappointment. We placed our order over the app as the self-serve till was being used. There was only three other customers there and yet our order took nearly 46 minutes to arrive when it did arrive, the burger was very disappointing in size and quality and paying that extra money for the grilled onions was also a disappointment. The kids meal was not that great also we ordered the chicken bites but there seem to be more batter than chicken on the chicken bites. My chocolate mocha that I requested cold was luke warm and not very satisfying. Sadly I won’t be going again and was a shame as I heard good things about this place.

I've eaten from here a few times now but this is the first time I ate in, eating the food fresh. Having the food sat in a delivery bag doesn't do it justice, eat in for the best, freshest experience.

Food was good service was good atmosphere clean the only thing is I don't mind paying by card but it be better if it was cash as well if people only able to pay cash

I've been wanting to try Boo for a while and was not disappointed. I ordered the Big Boo 8oz meal, and it was really nice. There was plenty of flavour in the burger, and I would definitely recommend coming back 👍😀

Can you please stop passing my order through Uber eats to a bicycle delivery guy!!!! I pay for priority! If this happens again this will be the last time I order from Boo! Barely hot enough when its delivered with a car!?!! Sort it out please! Last order came through a guy on his sister's bike lol

Been meaning to visit here for ages so glad we did. Very friendly clean and modern restaurant with a good choice of burgers and meal options! We were going to tap our way through the order tablet, having never visited before, but we were guided through the menu by the staff and given great recommendations. The burgers were cooked fresh to order. It was a shame to only be offered canned drinks not the refillable options (machine in the restaurant stated this) but overall it was a good experience. There were only three other dine-in customers on this Thursday lunchtime which was surprising but there are a lot of lunch options in that area of the city. Having said that, I would now rate this as one of my ones to return to. Toilet access has the potential to he inconvenient as it is accessible only by digital lock, which the staff have to input for you. At busy times I can see this being problematic, however given recent anti social behaviour problems in the city it is easy to see why this has to be the case. Would happily revisit and reccomend.

Arrived on time and it was piping hot. The crinkle fries were nice but that’s where the good review ends. I ordered an og burger but I was sent a spicy one I ordered sticky chicken bites and I was sent spicy ones Good job the fries were nice as they did cost me 25 quid

Might be the best burger I've had in Derby after living here for 3 years.

I was astounded by the incredible flavours and juiciness of the burger from the first mouthful. The Strawberry milkshake was bang on perfect combo with a burger. The packaging enhanced the whole experience and was spot on. The setting was perfect for a lunch or dinner date because it was so warm and friendly. Mariam and Umanga conveyed a warm greeting. You should eat Boo Burger in Derby, I promise you won't regret it. For all of you who enjoy burgers, it's a must-see.

Currently been around 1 hour and still not recieved my food writing this review whilst in the shop. Asked for a refund and the cashier keeps saying food is being prepared literally could have gone elsewhere placed an order and have already eaten the food by now. If you decide to order from here place your order early morning so they can get the food ready by evening. UPDATE: she has said give another 5 minutes for your order to be ready and she is unable to give a refund so now I'm stuck here as they won't give me a refund. She has offered a free shake due to this however I just want my food don't even want to imagine how long it will take for them to make a shake probably melt by the the time they decide to give me my order. P.S. Still in the shop could have got a job here and got paid for an hours work. Update 2: Finally they decided to give me my order after over an hour wait for 4 meals beyond a joke. Feel free to go in if you require a shelter else avoid and go somewhere else with faster service. I'm not even going to bother reviewing the food now.

Loved their burger, however the price is bit too expensive for the portion size they serve. I would go for somewhere else with that price, nothing too fancy.

Food was amazing and staff very friendly. Even chatted to us to ask us how our food was. I got the big boo burger meal and I think it is the best burger in Derby! Will definitely come again. As an extra food is halal so my friend could join me. 😊

I ordered from this restaurant for delivery and I am really disappointed. The food arrived stone cold which I had to reheat. The portions were also tiny for the amount I payed. I was given £5 credit however it will never be used as I wouldn’t waste my time ordering from this restaurant again.

A nice modern looking fast food restaurant but that is sadly where the nice ends. To start our customer journey we chose the self service kiosk. The kiosk was slow and for some reason you are required to enter your name and collect a pager device and input the number on the kiosk to order. This seems very much contrary to the speed and convenience of a kiosk. After placing the order we sat with our pagers and waited a good 15+ minutes in a very empty restaurant. Not exactly 'fast food'. Once I got my smokey burger, rustic fries, chicken tenders and shake it looked fairly presentable but quickly missed the mark. The burger was very mediocre, the bacon was greying 🤢, the rustic fries were also quite bland, the chicken with sticky glaze was almost pleasant but the glaze seemed quite salty and not too tasty overall. The shake was nice but the straw provided is too small and makes it impossible to drink without taking the lid off. Next to consider is the pricing, I bought a triple burger, fries, chicken tenders and a shake which totalled £21, this is much more expensive than average fast food restaurants and the standard of food isn't great enough to justify it. MacDonald's is much better value and Five Guys while more expensive is far superior in every other way. I will not be returning to this place unless serious changes are made to the quality and service.

Incredible place, great burgers

Only one member of staff running the running the shop on a Saturday lunchtime. Took over 30 mins to wait for two burgers of mediocre quality. Nice design but no good vibes, especially awkward when you hear the manager shouting at the only guy running the shop for their bad management

Orderd what was apparently a meal deal it wasn't got ripped off. Waiting ages food isn't worth the money I spent

Very slow to get food. Only a few people in the shop and a couple working. But the staff were working hard and friendly Prices are reasonable when compared to similar places such as five guys, but again the service was slow The burger was 10/10 tho, I only use a simple, triple burger, but was well worth the wait. Freshly made, not greasy yet still juicy.

Never closed nachos tub and now nachos sauce all over clothes

Go-chu chicken burger very tasty. However, despite there only being 6 customers in the restaurant, my friend's meal took over 30 minutes to arrive, and was cold. Restaurant was full of smoke haze - very unpleasant.

As soon as me and my friend opened the door the lady behind the counter was greeting us asking how we was. As we was ordering she was so polite and well mannered, couldn’t ask for better service. And as for the food… it was amazing!! The burger was cooked perfectly and not only that, it was so delicious. As we finished our food the lady then came to us and asked if we enjoyed it to which we replied with “it was perfect, thank you ever so much!” As it was amazing. She is definitely a caring and dedicated worker. Will definitely be visiting again.

Genuinely, one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Got the food delivered, but it was packaged excellently and was very fresh and hot. Great wings, and cheese fries. The portions are very generous as well! I will definitely visit the next time I’m in Derby!

The food was good but wasn't really for me, the service was OK, I waited absolutely ages for my food.

I order a plain buttermilk chicken burger. How did I get a beef burger with everything on it? The rustic fries were awful, don't know how you call them rustic. The milkshake was comically small. Terrible

The burgers were fabulous, the service was fantastic, the man behind the counter was welcoming and polite ,and the restaurant is clean and stylish. Best burger ever had ,the meat is cooked very thin and almost crispy,a unique burger but amazing.

Ordered 2 meals, one came after 15 mins, the other was told would be 5 mins, 15 mins later nothing, even after multiple Juste eat etc orders came and went, them offered 2 free milkshakes without even recognising I was still waiting for food! Then asked where my food was they just looked and said wait its almost ready, (it wasn't) asked for refund but was told there was no manager so couldn't, so paid for food, never gave it me and refused my money back, outstanding.

Food is good but wait time in an empty fast food restaurant was over an hour. Dodge.

Terrible service. Arrived to an empty restaurant but waited nearly an hour for our ‘fast food burger’. Some of our groups orders were out of stock but they accepted our order and refused to give a refund. Definitely would not recommend.

What a fantastic place to go. I was welcomed on arrival by the very friendly Hirosh who gave some fantastic suggestions. Service was quick and super efficient! I ordered the chicken moo boo or something with the boneless bites. Super flavorful and tender food. You should visit!

Excellent food. Price is comparible to other food sources in the derbion however the food is increadible, in my opinion they make the best burger in the midlands. Staff are friendly and helpfull, the whole restaraunt has a joyfull atmosphere..

I visited the Nottingham Boo last year and the meal was great, however, today I stopped by the Derby branch for some ‘rustic’ chips and it was a different story. The staff were kind and friendly, and the restaurant was clean But, the chips were horrible. They were really oily and just gross, and I have felt ill since eating them, several hours ago. I wanted to support a smaller restaurant but I won’t be returning here.

I’m not a fan or burgers but this place did the most amazing GO-Chu burger.Really fresh and flavoursome and excellent customer service from Sameh.Will be back again

Great smashburger, Chicken wings were crispy and fresh. Fries were crunchy and fluffy in the middle. I thought the portion size was very generous. All the food tasted fresh I would recommend to come here.

Burger was lovely but the chips had so much spice on them that I couldn't eat them all. I was gutted as I love cheesy chips.

Went in for lunch and the staff (fernando, Morgan, tharinda) were incredibly helpful. They were patient whilst I deliberated over what to order and their recommendations were spot on as the chicken burger was delicious! Overall excellent place but a little pricey as it cost £15 just for a burger chips and drink.

Used self service screens to order. Easy to use. Pager system in use to alert you when food ready so you can sit down straight away. The food came quick, hot and fresh. I’m telling the truth here; it was the best burger I ever had. Cheesy fries and wings as sides were delicious. Tasty milkshake. I like the idea of a wash station they have to clean your hands as it can get messy. Well done team. Will come back again

Asked for allergy advice as per the big sign they have saying ask the staff. They said they don't really know anything about allergens and said they don't have an allergy book (which they are required to by law). So we were only able to enjoy the pictures of burgers. They were very nice pictures. The macdonalds 2 doors down got our money though due to the poor staff attitude and unhelpfulness.

Kids say it was amazing one of the best places ever. Food was awesome the mini onion ring things in the burgers where so tasty. The patties seammed a bit thin but was informed they were smashed patties and they did fill me up. There was great options to add and takeaway parts from the meal to make them fit particular tastes. The churros were super tasty. Staff were very kind and helpful
