A word of advice do not visit on Tuesday despite checking the website to confirm the opening hrs 12:00 - 16:00, after a walk to get there from Strines Hall I found it closed , lady told me it was a website fault. I suggest you find another website provider and don't trust Google they also said it was open ; hasten to add I won't be rushing to sample your hospitality

I love a good authentic Indian, but this is not one. The food was awful and not authentic at all (fake red tikka sauce) all mushroom dish’s are awful, all food was cold. Also they charge you £3 for a mango chutney board (which you don’t ask for your given) I advised they should advise of a coat before giving it but he said no all places do this. We advised him this is not the case and they can’t put things on the table that were not asked for and charge for them!
WE stayed at The Olive on our way to an event in Nottingham, there are around 5 self contained rooms, we were greeted by a lovely lady who showed us our room and explained were everything was. The room was perfect, it was warm, comfortable, quiet and had everything we needed. The décor was excellent, all the fixtures and fittings were like new, the wet room was great with a fantastic shower. Little touches like plenty of tea, coffee and even bottled water made our stay perfect. Parking was easy just outside our room, it's a couple of minutes walk into the town centre so ideally situated. We would without a doubt recommend The Olive to anyone looking for a lovely place to stay in the area.

I recently celebrated my 21st birthday at this venue, and overall, it was a fantastic experience! The atmosphere was amazing, with great vibes and a lively crowd that made the night unforgettable. A big shoutout to Din, the manager, for providing excellent service and ensuring everything went smoothly throughout the night.
However, there was one downside. Once the music stopped, we were rushed out pretty quickly baring in mind elderly people were rushed too. It felt like there wasn't enough time to finish our drinks, as they started clearing away drinks from tables right away. Additionally, the bouncer was quite rude, which was a bit of a surprise since the venue didn’t feel like a typical club setting as it was a family party. It would’ve been nicer if the departure process was a bit more relaxed.
Despite these issues, I still had a great time, and I would recommend this place for any special events! Thank you once again for such a great night!
As soon as we walked into the Stone Arms, both my wife and I, was greeted by the waitress/bar maid, who was so polite, charming and very welcoming. She showed us to our table and even though we were early, as our names were reserved the night before, there was no concern so we ordered our drinks. There was no rush to order, and the place was full with customers both in the restaurant and the bar. Our starters arrived and were lovely, fresh and delicious. We ordered the small Sunday dinners (small they were not), they were cooked to perfection with the cauliflower cheese sauce to die for. I was so full that I elected for a coffee. My wife ordered the apple crumble for dessert (I did taste a small bit - very yummy). All in all a wonderful experience. Staff were very lovely and so polite. Smiles all around. In my opinion, and I have been to all the restaurants in Lincoln, it was the best and we both thoroughly recommend you book. My only issue? ? Parking! The car park was full. But plenty of side streets to park in.
Highly recommended.

Been in for lunch today had a Teriyaki chicken & a Salmon with Spiced Noodles off the specials board , Gorgeous 👍👍 reasonably priced aswell will be going back look forward to seeing the new menu
great staff, our date night each week. great cocktails in cold glasses. our waitress always makes us laugh and tapas style thai always goes down a treat
We ordered a takeaway away and would not be going back.
The order arrived late but the main issue was some of our order was missing.
When we called to discuss resolving the situation, they tried to excuse the situation and blag their error.
In addition the chicken dishes had all the bones left in the dish; this left us concerned what other short cuts were they doing potentially hygiene.
The food was average but their attitude to customers and denial of accountability on a seemingly innocent error of forgetting to pack a dish would not see us return to this restaurant.
We ate at the Cheney arms on Sat 15th. The Pub is in a charming location, Has a proper bar and delightful staff. We had 1 x Bread/Olives starter. 1 x mackerel and 1 x Burrito Chili mains. 1 x Eaton Mess. The starter and dessert were excellent. The Mackerel had lots of potato and green salad with one very small fish fillet. The Burrito had only a modest amount of Chili filling. We had 2 x Glasses of white wine and 11/2 pints of beer. The bill was for £71;95. ( A 250ml Wine was £9;95 ) We enjoyed our visit to the Cheney Arms. Paul Reynolds.
