Excellent pub. Went in with the family for Sunday dinner and was not disappointed. All fresh cooked food in good portions, even the kids plates had plenty. The Yorkshire puddings were a highlight, fresh cooked and tasty. Really friendly atmosphere and staff couldn't be more helpful. Only dropped in on the off chance but will definitely be going back!

Perfect pub in every way! Food menu has a narrow choice with it being a small country pub with a small kitchen however the choices are good and the food is always exceptional. From our first visit over a year ago we were made to feel very welcome by the fella behind the bar and the kitchen/waiting staff... We've been many times since, taken family and friends and everyone has loved the place. Can't recommend it and the "White Hart Burger" highly enough.

This is our local, and we absolutely adore it. Everyone we take there always has a fantastic time, the food is always delicious, homemade tasting, and the specials are always creative and thoughtful! When we went tonight, the lovely gentleman serving us proudly told us that the courgettes and marrow were locally grown down the road, and they were delicious! Just overall a wonderful, warm, comfortable, and welcoming place to eat, drink, and spend the evening, could not recommend it enough!

45 mins until the food arrived and wasn't worth the wait. Wafer thin sea bass and small dried up kofta. We will not be returning for food,but might for a drink in the future

We can highly recommend the Sunday lunch. The portions were plentiful with an excellent variety of fresh vegetables and homemade Yorkshire puds, all very tasty, well seasoned and good value. We received a very warm welcome and first class service. We will without doubt be back.

Great Sunday roast beef dinner for a good price.

Had 2 meals 1 was exceptional the wasn't very good, but the service and way they delt with it was 5* service. Mistake made and corrected will definitely go back

Lovely pub....The food was great and the customer service was excellent. Would highly recommend it We had the beef roast and Halloumi salad and fries at our table which were both scrumptious. Also dog friendly so as we were visiting the area this , for us was ideal.

Lovely food, had the steak and ale pie. It was really nice, my Mrs and I go out for food a few times each week and this was very nice. In the past I've paid a lot more for food nowhere near as nice. Plus, it's really nice with the log fire going. Very friendly pub and definitely worth a visit.

A pleasant trip out to the White Hart on a Tuesday evening. I went for the Hunters Chicken was impressed very tasty and a decent piece of meat! The atmosphere was spot on not overly busy but bustling with folk enjoying a natter and pint! Compliments to the chef OK yar 👩‍🍳 👨‍🍳

I turned up whilst hiking on a Sunday late afternoon so had made no booking. With the gorgeous sunny weather, the pub was very busy however there was still plenty of seating available. I ordered a roast chicken sandwich which came with a side of roast potatoes and gravy, great sized portion for the price and left me feeling pretty full! Definitely want to return now to try the full roast dinner!

We visited today for Mothers day lunch, the pub was lovely, staff friendly and the food was excellent. My grandson is a 'picky' eater and declared The white Hart burger to be the best he's had so if he's happy we certainly are! Will definitely be visiting again

Wonderful little country pub full of character and a great atmosphere whatever the season! The new owners have invested heavily, which has completely transformed the pub inside and out! I was very pleased with the addition of a new beer garden for the summer with plenty of food options for you to choose from. Overall, it's been a well needed breath of fresh air for the village locals and new customers to enjoy! Can't wait to return this spring after enjoying some wonderful cosy evenings there this winter :)

We were there for a wake so the actual pub was closed for a private function. Due to number of attendees it was very busy. Cant really comment on food as it was not done by the pub. Was quite cramped due to number of people. Was a bit oldy worldy and if you were tall needed to be careful not to bang your head as very low beams and doorways

Great pub which is really dog friendly as dogs can go anywhere in the pub. We visited the White Hart on Sunday during a walk and we got a good table without having to book beforehand. The food was excellent and the staff were really friendly. Would recommend this pub.

Very much a locals pub which I quite like. We went for a meal and a drink and to be honest we wasn't expecting anything amazing due to the basic ish menu. However the food was quite simply beautiful. The staff are very friendly. Nice ambience about the place. Will definitely go there again 😁

I absolutely love this country pub. Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, amazing staff and Georgina, the manager is one of the most attentive and friendliest people I have met. Well worth a visit and our local villages should definitely be supporting our beautiful local village pub!

We had a pre Father's Day meal out. Starters were a sharing platter and Greek style chips. The platter had bits that seemed dried out.chicken pieces and the scampi. The mains were a better quality my scampi and chips with garden peas was perfect. Everyone else enjoyed their main to. We had sticky toffee pudding and ice cream for dessert. The sticky toffee pudding was dried hard in places but everyone eat it. The beer was Abbots which had just been put on which was in good condition. Sadly the only other choice of real ale was Hobgoblin gold but on this occasion was in poor condition. The atmosphere and surroundings were good and this old coaching Inn was looking good again.

We were super excited about going here. We had wanted to go here so many times and we were disappointed with what we got. We order two adult and two kids meals. The kids meals were bigger than the adults. We had a pie, mash and seasonal veg. I had 5 green beans and 4 small sweetened chartonay carrots. The mashed potato was one very small blob. The pie was however delicious which is such a shame considering the rest of the meal. For a special and for the prices we expected alot more. Both of us left hungry and disappointed. Would go again if the portion sizes are looked at because the quality is there.

I was overwhelmed with the polite hospitality from the staff when I walked in,the menu is amazing so I ordered the hunters chicken which I was overwhelmed by the textures and the flavours Fantastic place to visit and very clean,can't wait to visit again keeo up the food work

Very disappointed was Supposed to be there curry night ordered beef madras it was so sweet if my wife who is Diabetic was with me she would now be in a coma The precooked beef was so dry you could hardly chew it If you're going to pre cook it at least keep it in chilled water Called last orders 21.30 while I was in the toilet Didn't have decency to say when I came back called last order sir would you like another drink no they Wait till I go to get a drink at 21.43 and then tell me I can't get one yet there board out side says open till 10pm

This is a lovely pub with a great atmosphere. The staff are so welcoming and always say hello. The pub itself is a outstanding looking village country style pub and kitchen. The food is always fantastic. However, do not be put off if you only want a drink as this pub is great not just as an eatery. Well done to Georgian and the team for making the pub what it is today.

Visited this pub on 22/01/2022. Place was freezing as there was no heating on, no music and no atmosphere. Our pre booked table was so close to another customers that there wasn’t any room for 2 of us to even get in, moving the table wasn’t an option as there was a step the other side, thankfully the barmaid saw us struggling and moved us to another table. You would of that during a pandemic the tables would have marginal space between them as a minimum. Food was initially slow to arrive and barely edible, tasted like it was pre cooked and then microwaved to order. The chicken was soggy, and although it was described as ‘Cajun’. - it came with no seasoning and no flavouring. The bun was nuked to the point it was like a piece of coal. We then got kicked at 9.30 after being told kids aren’t allowed on the premises after 9, it wouldn’t of been a problem if we had known! there is no mention of it anywhere on the website, not even under the terms and conditions when booking, nobody thought to mention it either when we arrived or at any point prior to us being turfed out. The barmaid said she has no idea it was a rule and it was news to her. I won’t be returning, in the future I’ll happily take my money and custom elsewhere.

Tip top local. After a number of years seemingly lost, this pub is once again a great place. At the heart of the community and for visitors from further afield. Three ales on offer. I tried the Abbott, and it was the best I had tasted in years - perfection. There was also a choice of serving style - the more northern version with a head on, or the southern style with very little. This gives an indication of the excellent and professional levels if service. The bar menu features many of the usual suspects - and they are prepared excellently. I had the best Gammon steak- cooked to perfection - juicy and tender. All other dishes seemed equally excellent. The building itself was also lovely. It looked like it had received a gentle restoration, returning to the rural charm it had some years previously. All clean, fresh and yet cosy. The outside had received some attention too. Still plenty of parking, however some balance restored and it looked like a much improved outside area. I'm looking forward to going back again!

What a corker of a pub!! I went this week with a friend for food and drinks and I was impressed to say the least. We had the warmest welcome! The rules around Covid were very simple/clear and we were not made to feel like we needed to rush off. We could stay at our table all night as long as we didn't start ordering tap water😄 We were served by the lovely Claire who was friendly and a real good laugh which cant be said for other pubs! All the staff were cracking to be honest. The food came quickly and was outstanding - have a go of the loaded fries if that's your thing!! The pints were bang on too 👌 It was so nice to have some background music on and the decor was very cosy and tasteful. Excellent service and great prices. Give it a go people, you know you want to!!!

Had a brilliant night at The White Hart Stanley. The staff were lovely and could not do enough for us, the food was fantastic and atmosphere was second to none, even with covid restrictions. It was great to see this place open and buzzing again.
