Really enjoyed the food, atmosphere, service and the wine. Food was really tasty and the curry sauce is to die for!

Have been to this restaurant a few times when in the area. Have enjoyed the food every time. It is worth the trip over. Every dish as good as the next and a good selection of dishes to choose from.

It was a snap decision belated birthday treat for my wife. We tried to get into Ascough's and found that the attempt to book had failed. I was then sent to try Han and thought that was where I was invited in. We had a lovely tapas style meal and wondered at the time if Han had changed its name. Each dish is relatively small and the bowls were not hot enough to keep each helping hot so take care to order small numbers of dishes according to how large your party and how quickly you eat. I expect the staff will help you, especially when the Covid restrictions are relaxed. Alternatively they might have heated trays in future.

first visit to this little gem didn't know we had to book through Facebook (due to corvid 19 i think) so as we don't use it we phoned from outside and was lucky to be squeezed in very organized and friendly staff and the food was absolutely lovely cocktail was ok could be a little cheaper but over all really enjoyed our visit will defiantly be going here again

Been with my wife and with family and friends and each time the experience has been amazing! The food is CONSISTENTLY AMAZING, cocktails on point with some great recommendations as well as a fab offer of alternative drinks.They book up quick at the weekend which shows when when you dine, with the fast paced service you’d think you’d be out the door in half an hour but that’s not the case, it’s relaxing atmosphere allows for the drinks to flow and the staff are wonderful characters which solidify it’s place as one of the top restaurants to enjoy.100% will be there again soon, and again no doubt.

Having missed out on booking our regular eat out in Harborough, we got lucky with this place - small dishes with big flavour!A couple of Espresso Martinis in and some amazing food, we were astounded we had never stumbled across the restaurant before.Staff very attentive with great personalities and knowledge of the menu - which is a big plus in our books as ex restaurant owners.Looking forward to coming back next time we visit

Friday night treat My daughter found out she had passed her chartered tax advisor examination We’d been under a cloud of apprehension since November, that’s quite a duration A trip to Taste social, Dads treat ,to show our joy and pride, for her news Now we don’t usually do Chinese , but heard it had good reviews Chinese tapas that’s small bowls of food to me and you You chose from the menu, they suggest 3 or 4 each, that should do !!We had a table booked for seven and were first through the door Greeted , seated, and handed the menus, over which we could poreWith prices from £3, to £5 per tapas dish or plateTheres rice, noodles, prawns, pork, chicken and beef, on which to masticate We plummeted for the Chicken chow mein , curry sauce and chips Egg fried rice, crispy beef, all taste sensations on the lips Bao buns stuffed with pulled pork and confe duck Crispy Shiitake balls, and a spicy beef ravioli, this food so tasty, we’re all star struck Between the four of us we shared a total of 16 dishes They fulfilled all our needs, and all our wishes With 2 Prosecco’s, a red wine, coke and sparkling water At just over £90 it was a great way to celebrate the news from my daughter Probably the best Chinese food we have eaten for a very long time. Everything was fresh and crisp with no grease. Will definitely visit again Don’t forget to book early as we managed to get the last table booking on the Thursday night . Excellent atmosphere and staff were very accommodating. Beware, the food comes thick and fast at you. If you want to make a night of it try ordering a couple of dishes, enjoy them and then order again.

Tapas were pretty tasty - nothing amazing but certainly nothing bad! The drinks were pretty basic which is fine if you are a wine or beer drinker rather than a cocktail lover. Staff were friendly enough. I went back and fourth between 3 and 4 rating as they're a bit more than average but not as far as very good. I went with the higher as I'm feeling generous ;)

New world Chinese tapas!!!! Portion sizes good Recommend 3 each but if hungry then go for 4 Excellent for sharing with friends or family

This was my second visit to this restaurant and really enjoyed the food. It is a Chinese restaurant with tapas type sized food. In a group of 4 we order 3 dishes each to share and found this was the perfect amount. The waiter was polite and helpful. The food wasn’t over priced so happy with the bill. Will definitely be returning soon.

Pleasant meal ,pleasant staff fairly quick service reasonable choice but didn’t really deliver to expectations.

Had lunch here today. Very quick and polite service. Hot plates and lovely freshly cooked food at a reasonable price. We have now booked for family Christmas Eve meal.

A great alternative to a typical Chinese restaurant, tapas sizes portions that give you the ability to try many different dishes, I was very impressed, definitely coming back

From a reasonably small menu here is plenty of delicious dishes to pick from. A choice of meat, fish and veggie options. Although veggie options are limited.. Only downside is the tables are a bit small if you’re like me and order 5 dishes!Has a good vibe in the restaurant and they serve a good selection of drinks including cocktails

A relaxed restaurant offering a good range of Asian food in moderate sized portions. We chose three different options each and shared them between us which worked well. Food is delicious and a good range of drinks compliment the dishes well. Service is very good and friendly.

We are local to the restaurant but for some reason had never visited. Well i'm glad that we have now. Food v good v tasty and felt like everything had been could fresh. Quite contemporary, gets v busy at the end of the week apparently, so probably best to book. Maybe a little understaffed but no complaint - Looking forward to returning !

Iv been coming here since it opened. At least once a week with family, friends and often solo. Everyone is so polite and super friendly. The food is amazing every time and never had to wait to long, even when it’s rammed! Great job guys keep doing what your doing.

We have been on numerous occasions on different evenings and times. We always find the staff helpful and engaged with their customers, service is always excellent. Food amazing!

Yeah, we’ll wait in an empty restaurant midweek whilst you check the bookings diary to see if you can fit 2 of us in...Still mostly empty when we were leaving...Dirty glasses on tables, no sugar offered with coffee, had to get attention from staff who are adept at looking around without seeing. Food was pretty good - hence the 2 stars.

My husband and I were staying in Market Harborough for the evening and we ate here based on reviews we’d read. We are glad we did. The food was delicious. The place and staff were great too. We had 6 dishes between us which was perfect. We particularly enjoyed the duck boa roll and the chilli beef. Thank you.

We ate here with family and were so pleasantly surprised. Fab food and what a unique way of experiencing a superb variety of Asian flavours. Quality of food was superb and service excellent. Would definitely recommend and will be back when next in the area. Thanks for a lovely evening

This is our regular get together place for lunch with colleagues when celebrating birthdays (as well as every other excuse!) We love the wasabi mayonnaise, prawns and crispy beef. The attentive personal service makes each visit special too.

We visited at the weekend for the first time. We loved the cocktails and enjiyed the food very much. Between 2 of us we ordered 7 dishes and could have done with a couple more (we had starved ourselves all day ready lol!). Definitely recommend if you like oriental food. One thing I would like to see is proper chopsticks, not cheap wooden ones. The proces aren't that cheap, so to have disposable cutlery doesn't sit well. We will definately return.

Wow, we had an issue earlier in the evening due to another place not able to keep our booking so were desperate to find somewhere to eat, Taste Social took us in and it was absolutely fab! Tapas sized dishes (however order less then top up) food comes out within 15 minutes and spread out allowing us to rotate through the food. Drinks and service awesome too, very professional and easy going made our dinner very relaxing, will be back again!

This place is just fabulous! The concept is new and it works! The food is amazing quality, the front of house staff very friendly and welcoming and we shall become regulars. I urge you to try it!

My wife and I had a fantastic meal at Taste, not only is the food decent quality, the bill was really reasonable. The small dishes mean you can pick and choose to your hearts content, which is right up our street. And hats off to the two guys who served us, really quickly and friendly service. Would recommend to all!

Great restaurant offering Chinese in a tapas style. Great food in small portions, costing around £5-00 per portion. The beauty of this is that if you want to taste lots of different things, it's not all wasted.Really good choice of drinks, bottled beers and cocktails. Highly recommend.Right in the centre of the town, just beside Nat West Bank. 10 minutes walk from the train station.

We ate....we ate....then we ate some more. Such fresh food. Served so fast. Each bite a delight to the taste buds. Amazing mocktails to refresh the palate between each plate of delights. Just order the food like you would at a spanish tapas restaurant. Very reasonably priced for the amazing quality and freshness. Great chef. Try it whilst he's there. After that......well let's hope he not moving. Great table service. Pleasant staff. Thanks for a great meal.We had the items marked in blue.

Post Christmas evening meal for two. Decided to call in here on way to the pub. Quick friendly service. Not extensive menu but everything we had was amazing. San Miguel on draft and cocktails. Had five dishes about a fiver each.

My son and I visited on a Saturday lunch time. The restaurant was very quiet which was a shame as the food and service were excellent. We had 2 small plates each and a side to share. With 2 soft drinks the bill was under £30. The chips with wasabi mayonnaise were 'insane' in the words of my 15 year old!

We first came here after seeing the restaurant a few times on our way to dine elsewhere & always wondered why it had such a strange sounding name! When I got round to it I read the positive reviews & thought we must try it.We decided to visit for a family meal to celebrate my son going to university in September. We all had a lovely time.... even me, being a vegetarian! Food was nice, cocktails great too! My husband & I went again at the end of October. The staff are so friendly & attentive. However, I do wish management would add a few more items to the vegetarian options. There is only a handful of dishes compared to the list for non-veg & by my 2nd visit I found the choice quite repetitive. I’d rather eat a vegetarian Bao Bun than boring old “Chips” with some sort of mayo dip but sadly no veg Bao Bun option.Come on Taste Social.... get a bit more adventurous for us vegetarians too & i’ll want to come back for more. That aside, it’s a lovely place to hang out on a Friday or Saturday night so try it if you haven’t already

We paid our first visit to Taste Social last Friday evening after hearing good reports. All I can say is AWESOME! Is now going to be a firm favourite when choosing somewhere to eat out. Staff were friendly & welcoming and gave us advice on choices on hearing it was our first time there. The food was all fantastic and beautifully presented. The restaurant itself is warm and inviting with perfect lighting. Staff were so welcoming. I’d highly recommend it. We’ll definitely be back!

We visited Taste social with friends in sept 2018 after being recommended by friends.It’s a lovely little restaurant which basically serves Chinese tapas and a great variety of cocktails.The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and the food was delicious.I would highly recommend eating here and trying their delicious menu.We will be regular visitors

Unusual and inspiring ‘tapas’ dishes, served with an oriental twist. Food tasted great and there was a brilliant selection of drinks - I enjoyed my ‘cocktail of the week’. Great concept for a friendly and informal dining experience - would highly recommend.

We have been here a few times and always found it exceptional we took my parents here for lunch and had the best lunch, service is flawless and the food comes out very quickly, everything on the menu is delicious one of our favourites is the chicken bao bun and the prawns wrapped in bacon we shall continue to return.

After eating at Han me and my husband decided to give downstairs a try after the waitress told us it was from the same kitchen. We weren't disappointed the food was light and delicious, the deco was amazing. Very impressive, this has became one of our favourite restaurants in Harborough

I’d seen this place before but thought nothing of it, it looked like a posh wine bar but is actually a great place to eat and drink, once inside we were impressed with the decor and the atmosphere, I ordered a gin cocktail to see how good it would be and I was very impressed, we ordered 3 dishes each, chicken chowmein, pulled pork, butterfly prawns, chips with curry sauce etc, the food was great with the chips and curry sauce being the best curry I’ve ever tasted, always busy so make sure you book a table.

We visited Taste Social on a Thursday evening, the place was starting to fill up & get busy,We were escorted to a table by a very attentive staff member, he quickly sorted out our drinks & asked if we required any help with the menu...Taste Social is basically Chinese tapas, lots of small dishes delivered promptly, without fuss & hot!Trying to show off with chopsticks to my lovely lady I managed to drop a duck spring roll, the very attentive staff member quickly cleared up my accident & delivered another portion (all without fuss & no additional charge which was a wonderful touch)We would both recommend Taste Social & will be back very soon.A big thank you to all the staff.Shane Smith

We popped into Taste Social by chance a few months ago for lunch after a meeting and had such great food, when we had to return to Market Harborough last Monday we headed straight there for lunch again. The food is exceptional here, everything is freshly prepared and cooked as you order. The plates are small and the staff suggest 3-4 plates per person, designed to share, although, each plate is so good it makes choosing really difficult! The chow mein is gorgeous, the dim sum light and so mouthwatering, even the steamed buns are light and fluffy and not at all stodgy (as is so often the case) .Every thing is beautifully presented too.The wine list offers a small but good choice, will suit most tastes, there is a selection of cocktails too (we didn't try these at lunch)The staff are polite and helpful and the service was good.We live hours away otherwise this would be a regular haunt for us, but when we return to Market Harborough we will most definitely be eating here again.

After a recommendation from a work colleague, myself and my partner went for dinner. It really was an enjoyable dining experience. The food was well presented and tasted really good. I don’t write reviews often but this place definitely deserved it!

Wow. Everything perfect. We ordered about 10 dishes. Each one tasted perfect and beautifully presented. The Dim Sum, chow mein (cooked so much better than other takeaways), chicken balls. They used fresh oil which is why everything came out so perfect. There were 2 of us and the food was so good there was nothing left over.

The menu is brief but full of good stuff. Order a few small plates and you'll find that they're all delicious, but the crispy beef and the chips are particularly great. In fact, just writing this review I can't wait to get back there. The service is pretty good too. Enjoy!

I booked a table for 2 people on the 11th July at 5.30pm, nothing to problematic about that, we turned up for our resivation at 7.00pm, a whole ninety minutes later, once seated and drinks were served we started to browse the menu, we've been a few times and really enjoy the food there. At this point the waiter arrived to tell us that we had to leave as the manager wanted to close so he could watch the football, we weren't even allowed to finished them, absolutely stunned plus this so called manager didn't even have the guts to tell us in person...

We recently discovered this little gem In Market Harborough, very good friendly service lovely choice of wine, beer and cocktails food was quick to come out and was delicious, was nice to have small portions of everything so you could try different dishes, everything we had was absolutely amazing the chicken bun was the best bun I’ve ever had and the custard pudding was lovely, will be recommending and we will definitely be returning. 10/10

Was not impressed by this place, except for the fancy teas. The food was OK but for what you get its expensive, I would rather eat elsewhere, far better options in Mkt Harborough.

A little gem in the rather boring town of ours. Frankly our town is flooded by endless coffee shops and hair places, that this was a lovely addition (and much needed!). We went as a family and the small tapas were fantastic. Squid crackers, sticky rice parcels,amazing chow mein. It will fill you up, food as it should be: small bites to make a whole meal. Will recommend it 100%

Visited here during the really cold snowy weather, unfortunately they struggled to warm up the restaurant with only one small air con unit so it was rather chilly. Food however was lovely, was nice to share and try so many different bits. All were really yummy although fish balls were a very strange texture so may avoid these next time. Staff were friendly and attentive. I would go back to try some more of the dishes.

Visited today with a friend for lunch. Friendly service and nice surroundings. I tried the chicken dumplings and the chicken chow mein - both were delicious. My friend enjoyed her chilli beef. We shared prawn crackers and drank cucumber tonic water. Everything was delicious- I will be going back.

Had a table of about 12 people here as a leaving meal before returning home to NZ. The food was first class but I found it a bit noisy with everybody talking as it has minimalist furnishing so nothing to absorb sound. Great place to share plates with mates.

My daughter requested a visit for her 18th Birthday and we were not disappointed. Service was excellent and the food delicious! There was a really good choice of cocktails and the ones we had were attractively presented and very quaffable.We chose 3/4 dishes each on the advice given which was about right and everything was yummy! Can highly recommend the duck bao bun and the crispy beef. All in all a lovely evening and we will definitely return!

My husband and I visited this restaurant and had an amazing meal. The decor is modern and the staff were really helpful. The plates are small for sharing and so you need a number of dishes each but the staff talked us through how many and the food arrived quickly. Would recommend it for groups, friends, couples.

Had enjoyable meal here this evening. The menu choice was quite limited and quite different from what we are used to. However the lovely waiter explained that that it was similar to Spanish tapas and recommended how many dishes to order. He also explained the dishes very well. We thoroughly enjoyed our food, it was tasty and well presented. Although there were very few people in the venue bother The room temperature and ambience was warm.

We had a vague idea of what to expect so we carefully studied the choices when we arrived. But, then immediately went off-menu to get Chilli Crackers that were being served to a big party...Advised to order 2 items each and top-up later we did that and it worked. We did have some Chips with Wasabi Mayo and Egg Fried Rice both of which were very tasty. The best dish was the Chilli Beef (crispy batter) and the worst was the Mala Fish Balls (none of us really liked them). Bao Chicken and Bao Duck were good, so was Steamed Beef Bun - but they were getting to be boring, the Chicken Peking Dumplings were very similar. Then it became obvious that the style has "No Sauce" which is a mistake. We added Shitaki Balls and King Prawns hoping for some juice but were disappointed, the taste of all this was great but the lack of relief from the assiduous dry fry spoiled the overall experience.Couldn't they have some juiciness in some of the food? Some gravy or how about serving some little dishes of sweet chilli sauce? Without drinks it came to £60 for 4 people, the bottle of Shiraz was £22 for a very ordinary screw cap rather harsh example.

We have visited here a number of times. The menu is simply laid out and there is plenty to chose from. The decor is plain and functional.The food is Chinese Tapas, each dish which I have tasted is delicious and they are always presented well. the service has always been consistent and attentive without being overly familiar! We had a great evening as always and the bill at the end for the huge amount of food and drinks which we had was exceptionally good value.My only gripe is that the chairs are a little hard!! Have recommended you to lots of friends!It would be great if you opened Saturday afternoon!!

Went for dinner here a few weeks ago with my dad. We ordered a few different dishes to share and took some of the waiters recommendations. The food was lovely and the place is clean and well done out. Will visits again.

Een soort fushion eten met veel Chinese smaken ( door de combinaties, zoals garnaal met varken en door de gebruikte kruiden) en met een Britse twist, zoals mayonaise bij sommige gerechten.Kleine hapjes, zoals bij dimsum. Een moderne, originele inrichting. Rustig - feng shui? - en grappig, met eigentijdse verwijzingen naar China.Vriendelijke bediening.Een heel leuke verrassing.

My girlfriend and I came here for some cocktails and some light bites to eat. The food was really tasty, the cocktails were outstanding and the staff were friendly and attentive. The bar, although simplistic, is brilliantly decorated. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic new restaurant / bar. Great place to eat, with fresh, bright surroundings and a perfect location. It's very relaxing and you don't feel rushed at busy times. Staff are very attentive but not overly. Ive been there many times and have never been.dissapointed I would and have recommended people to pay a visit.

My Wife & I were invited for a Drink & Chinese Tapas, by me Son & his Girlfriend. Wasn't sure what to expect, but please to say we had a very nice evening. Décor is good & the food is not only nice but very reasonable. I've seen flowers in your hair, but in your tea... Interesting.

Had my first visit to the chinese tapas bar in April 2017. Love the decor of the place and the laid back vibe. Staff really friendly and helpful when asking about dishes. We booked a table in advance. Great way to sample some new dishes. Loved the crispy beef and pulled pork roll, not a fan of the chicken roll, bit too bland for my liking. The Jasmine Green tea was good and felt like a big kid watching the flower open. Great place to eat - very sociable. Definitely be back, thanks for a fab evening.

Had a team meal here from work last night as a get together, the service was great the food was great the cocktails were amazing - I had a mojito cocktail and it was lovely. The prawn steam dumplin were very nice and at £2.00 for 2 I think the price was very good.

We decided last minute to dine here tonight and loved it! Great decor, atmosphere and concept.Staff were very friendly and knowledgable and the food was all truly delicious. (As was the cocktail of the day!)Good value for money and enjoyed watching my flora tea bloom. We will definitely be back.

If you like Chinese food and something with a bit of a twist, this place is ideal. I had a vegetable parcel, chips with wasabi mayo and a steamed bun chilli pepper burger.Everything was delicious with a hint of ginger or Chinese spice.They also have Floratea which is a beautiful take on green tea. For another star, hand cut, homemade chips please.
