Saw the reviews and it was our first time here. We ate outside, large portions and the food was excellent, didn't really expect that because I came to this pub years ago and it was disappointing. The people that are running this pub now know what they're doing, I can't complain about anything, definitely be back again! Loved it!

Such a lovely country pub. Visited many times in the past and never been disappointed. Lovely cosy relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff and tasty food. The Sunday lunches are particularly good. Doggy friendly as well.

Lovely beer garden, great place to meet with friends for a drink. Although pretty expensive. However, you pay for the atmosphere aswell. Can go winter and summer and sit outside as they have heaters!

Got to be the best fish and chips in town, chips are beautiful and fish tastes amazing and crispy even when delivered which has been an issue with other chip shops.

lovely village pub with great hosts! and an amazing sunday lunch! hot, lots of veg and great yorkie's! best in area. Emma makes you feel very welcome and a roaring fire on a cold day! not many pubs left like this...

Great chips, soft on the inside, dry and crisp on the outside.

Very poor food. We ordered 2 x plaice & chips, 1 vegan burger & onion rings. The vegan burger consisted of an overcooked burger in a dry bun. There was no butter, salad, vegan cheese or sauce. Please don’t offer a vegan option if you can’t prepare one sufficiently. I don’t know how much you charged for it, but it wasn’t worth it. The fish & chips were bang average and the onion rings had a bit of tin foil in the box. All in all, definitely not worth £34. A real shame because this used to be a good fish & chip shop.

Expected time kept getting moved back but main very good, chips could do with different packaging as end up soggy

Absolutely lovely food all nice and fresh veg, proper home cooked feel/tasting from the whole serving table👌🏼 would definitely recommend and will definitely be back thankyou 🙂

As the title says, Astounded!! Rang up to order a takeaway. Ordered a jacket potato with tuna mayo and cheese and salad. Collected it myself. £8.05 for a small jacket, a dessert spoon of tuna mayo, hardly any cheese, a very little salad... Just awful in every way... I won't be returning. I understand the business owner has to pay bills and staff, but if all the food is that bad quality and prices like that, customers will go elsewhere.
