Drab interior, poor beer selection

Friendly staff and regulars and tasty beer.

No straight cider, just bottles with additional fruit flavours. Good choice of beers, but cannot drink these. Wine it was then.

Great beers and friendly regulars with a wide range of conversation. The social network established between the customers and Trevor Maris has been superb. Continues to be a quirky and welcoming community. Many beer tourists make repeat visits.

Super micto pub with good real ale selection. Extra seating upstairs. Basic decor. Very friendly. ... I am back in June 2023 with Boothroyd and Casta. Two new breweries for the boys..Jolly Boy's from Barnsley ( very apt) and Muir House from Ilkeston. Only 5 minute walk from the market square. Well worth finding. Lovely relaxing bar. Opens 3pm Mon - Thursday...2pm Fri, Sat & Sun ( early closing at 7.30 Sun.)

Lovely little micro pub with a fantastic selection of beers. Just a short walk from the centre of town. Highly recommend a visit!

Great selection of beer - cask, keg and bottles/cans - and the quality is second to none. Friendly, helpful staff. Loses a star as cleaning can leave a little to be desired.

Beer choice is always amazing in this little gem for any beer fans. Craft keg and cask beers plus bottles (mainly Belgian) are on offer. Only down sides, it is tight for space and could do with a spruce up but most of the clientele are there for the beer so who cares 🤣

Good range of ales and nice owners

A brilliant, quirky addition to Chesterfield. Spread over 3 levels and dog friendly it's a welcome addition to this area. Great range of real ales and craft beers. Decor is basic but functional. Enjoy. M

Excellent micropub in Chesterfield with knowledgeable staff. This is not a place you go to for attractive décor, it's bare-bones as far as that is concerned. The focus lies entirely on the healthy selection of craft cask & kegged beers, with nothing to distract the punters. There are two small rooms, each on one floor. If you're unsure about which beer to pick, the owner will let you sample them. Miles above all the more stylish but mediocre pubs in town. Highly recommended.

Small bar on two levels and fairly basic. Very good selection of beers and friendly bar-man. Closes at 10.00.

Love this little pub. Xxxx I'm not a big fan of the real ale but my fella loves it. Luckly they have my favorite wine and lovely ciders.

An absolutely fantastic place to try a marvelous selection of real ales and exceptional ciders. Compact and bijou, yes, this in no way detracts from the most excellent cellar stocked and maintained by staff who are well skilled in 'beer craft'.

Visited this place on 31st July. Very disappointed £3-40 for half a pint of "dishwater" avoid this place at all costs.

Great little bar, the only issue for me is the cost! You can't fault the beers on offer, a good range of both cask & craft ales, but considering it's a basic bar, the prices are a little on the high side. We're not talking "top" high street location here, we're talking just out of town, in an old shop premise, so surely overheads must be a bit cheaper? Yet prices to me don't reflect that? I have no issue with the choice or quality of the beers, but I can't help but think that the owners (and friendly though they were) are asking a little too much...just my opinion. I found equally great beers at considerably cheaper prices elsewhere in town. As an outsider I feel bad having to write this place really is worth a visit, but just be warned, it's cash only, so make sure you bring plenty.

Great selection of ales on kegs and cask. Very friendly behind the bar with two spaces for seats - upstairs and downstairs. No music or games. Highly recommended. Worth a visit if you are into your beers.

Always come here every time we're at chesterfield today it's closed no reason on the door for this April 11th

Visited a few times. Overated too be honest. Not as much choice as the competition in town. For fairer prices, better conditioned beers, and more choice I would try the dronfield beer stop or the very friendly and outstanding beer parlour on king street north

For real ale drinkers, great selection on the pumps plus craft kegs and constantly changing. Highly recommended!!
