Place could do with a lick of paint. Carpet looks threadbare and wooden floor could do with a clean.

We called in on the way back from Derby after a trip to see a band at Derby theatre. We used to go to the Spa in the 80s and 90s. It would be fair to say that it's not the same pub. The lady serving us was very friendly, but my wife was the only other lady in there. Fingers crossed it changes very quickly and very soon.

Very friendly pub! Sunday dinner was lovely!

Been to a few functions there now and love it The only drawback is that the regulars feel free to join in your party choosing to completely ignore the signs on the doors but on the whole it's cheap and cheerful and the staff are lovely

Visited on a busy Friday night, world cup football was on, has a pool table as well😁, nice beer and a great atmosphere.Couldnt give it 5 stars as I didnt have any food.

This pub is so anti social, I live literally 3 streets away and can always hear their music over my TV. It's louder than most nightclubs.

Can't really remember much however really wicked hangover would definitely recommend this to anyone wishing to miss a day.Only. sadness ,no real ale.But the staff make up for that.

Brilliant little local pub with a amazing atmosphere great food and the Sunday carvery is by far the best i have had in derby this place has something going on every weekend without fail a propper little hidden gem!! If you visit derby pop in like I did you will not be disappointed. And the staff are brilliant aswell.

The staff was very friendly had a pizza while I was there was quite nice and enjoyed the atmosphere music was a bit loud at times but you got used to it yes I thought it was a lovely place I haven't been for many years but allowance still similar it's lovely beer garden at the front and the back definitely worth a visit

Just wanted to a big thanks to the bar staff for today, 17/7/21. You guys were rushed off your feet, but nothing was too much trouble. It was a lovely relaxed atmosphere in the courtyard! What a cracking place ! Stopped off here with two friends to have a couple of drinks and a bite to eat. The food was spot on and the Guinness to die for ! They couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful and the locals were good crack too.

Have been a few times for drinks but wasn't aware they did food.Just wanted something for lunch.Had macaroni cheese.thought it would be small and plain.it was so tasty.really well presented.served with bacon and chilli and tortilla chips with sour cream.fantastic value for money.always a lovely down to earth atmosphere in the olde spar Inn .the staff are lovely and always helpful.Sat in the garden area at the front with the dog on the grass.lovely little pub excellent food.would definitely recommend it.

We went for the all you can eat Sunday lunch and everything about the experience was brilliant, I'd go back every week just for the stuffing balls, top notch.

Over the last 17 years of working in Derby I have been here many times. Several of us from work uses to meet up here. There's a good range of beer's and food. Every time I drive Abbey Street, I want to "pop in".

We popped for a quick pint on the way home. Hadn't been here for years. A lovely pub inside with friendly staff but on the evening we were there the music was just too darn loud. I couldn't wait to leave.

Fairly large, traditional pub. Good range of drinks served by friendly staff. A few benches are outside the front, however there's a nice, enclosed courtyard with more seating to the rear. Generally it would be a fairly ok edge of the city pub, however it's the people that lift it. Every one was friendly, easy going and easy to talk to creating a good atmosphere.
