Cafe Ashiana in Derby

I visited this place with my partner, as I was recommended this place by a friend. Upon arrival, the place looked beautiful, interior is amazing. The lights, the set up and the seating area outside looked really nice, however the female staff are quite rude. We asked them to get us mayonnaise and she raised her eyebrows, also upon arrival we asked if we could sit inside, they ignored us. Male staff are polite however. Food was delicious and desserts.

Love it a lot, very local to my place I always go there with friends. It’s a bit expensive but it’s nice

Set up is classy. Food when it arrived was tasty.Part of the order arrived in a timely fashion. Juices arrived presumably once the fruit pickers had been employed following a three stage interview process. Coals were changed following recovery of the mining industry. Shishas were reasonable, but after a while they had about as much drive as Mesut Ozil for Arsenal. Finally, when football is on, you can’t please all by having music at 322 decibels and football on. Best to switch of the music & have the football on with commentary.

Absolute joke of service. Was made to wait for 2 hours for a group of 8 people when i was being reassured every 15 minutes That i will get a seat. I have lost respect for myself to even wait for that long. Driving all the way from Manchester for such a terrible smoke & service. Would never recommend coming to this awful cafe. Staff are rude and music way too loud, couldn’t even hear my friend when they were sitting next to me. In conclusion, never come here, absolutely atrocious.

this place is class! the staff cannot do enough for you and the revamp has really opened the place up. going for food tonight so no doubt I will be reviewing again. for me it is the type of person this place attracts, no trouble, no hassle it is the reason I travel 30 miles as a round trip nipping for a shisha.

This lounge is arguably the best in Derby. Based within the city centre and walking distance from the bars and clubs with a lovely atmosphere. We have been here many times as a team and the staff always deliver excellent customer service and experience. 5/5 for us!

WOW where can i start.. I have had the most outstanding experience at Cafe Ashiana. I have been coming here for years, since they first opened. I have always received the finest experience. They have just undergone a full refurbishment where they have added a rooftop and a huge garden area for those nice hot summer days. The decor is just WOW! It does not feel like you’re in Derby!The staff always go above and beyond to look after us and making sure we always feel comfortable. Came over to this place with a few friends after a recommendation This place is an excellent place to relax with friends and the shisha flavours awesome Hats off to the owners here I think they have a winner!

Great visit, we came here after a meal out. The new décor is lovely, very comfortable chairs, TV's situated brilliantly so you can all view the sports. Sheesha was very good, a few issues with the flavour running out or burning out quick but staff were on point and assisted.We ordered some desserts they were very nice, only issue they took our order and 10 minutes later came to say sorry we have no waffles.Overall very chilled and relaxing and comfortable experience.Well done, highly recommended.

Been going to cafe ashiana for a few months before the re brand and came after the opening and looks amazing. Faz offered a very warm welcome and 10/10 customer service. Top man!

Visited on the off chance, there was 2 of us. On arrival a very polite young lady who took our order & then seated us as it was our first time. Had a double apple which was fantastic, the service was excellent from the “how is the shisha” to the coal changes. Great atmosphere clean, warm & just buzzing.I shall return soon & I would highly recommend Cafe Ashiana to everyone.Keep up the good work 5*

I came from London to try this lounge. Have to say I was bitterly dissapointed due to very poor service, lack of communication and wrong orders taken down causing long delays. Shisha quality was also very poor. Wouldn't recommend

Visited on two consecutive nights (Fri and Sat), packed out both times. Interesting venue. Great environment for a chilled shisha session. Comfortably the best atmosphere of any lounge I've been to. Only downside is that they don't serve alcohol, and the shisha is all nicotine-free. The staff are very good though, regularly topping up the coal cubes without having to be asked.

Went here last weekend whilst we were visiting Derby after finding this place on Google.

Excellent Shisha, Electrifying atmosphere and to top it all of, great service. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended! Keep it up guys 👍🏽

One of the few lounges in derby, was taken here by a friend. First of all price, one sheesha, a wrap and a diet coke bottle. £19.95. Are you kidding me?

Visité este café dos veces este fin de semana, un sábado por la noche y un domingo por la tarde. El ambiente siendo completamente diferentes, una discoteca animada un sábado por la noche, y una tarde relajada con el sol en un domingo.

He estado en muchos salones shisha y tengo que decir que este es sin duda el mejor de los que he estado. Personal increíble y el ambiente es ¡guau! ! Los batidos y postres son realmente para morirse y ponen la mejor música.

Great staff .. Great sheesha .. Great desserts! .. atmosphere is really good as is the entertainment they provide.. with a projector screen and a separate flat screen tv, football games are always shown as well as any other big supporting event

I have lived coming here over the last 4 years whilst at uni the staff are brilliant and amazing. The place just has the most relaxing atmosphere. It is also a great place to watch sporting events

Probably the best shisha we have, rubicon guava is our favourite and very fruity! The waffles are also fresh and tasty, good place for a chill night with good service too

Wow, what a place.....sublime shisha and settings. I've been many so called shisha lounges all over the UK, but this place is exception. I would recommend this place highly to ANY shisha lover.

Been here twice now and both times have been impressed with the shisha, friendly staff and selection of drinks, deserts and snacks. The Cafe is always clean and looks really good and the atmosphere is always fantastic (I really enjoyed the music but staff are very accommodating and will change the music or put a sporting event on TV if you wish). Shisha flavours and prices are very good and they have a good selection of drinks and food - I have only ever had a desert and found that very nice. I'd definitely recommend this place if you enjoy shisha it makes for a really nice time.

Just been here my wife and I. I had the Tikka Mixed Grill and my wife had the Chicken Korma. The food was fantastic. We shared the Tikka mixed grill and the korma with a bottle of house red. It was the best Indian cuisine meal we have had. If we came back to Appleby, we would defiantly return here for another meal. Value for money is great also. Just under £42 for two outstanding meals and a bottle of red. Staff are great, friendly and helpful. Well done guys, great meal.

If chilling out with friends and shisha is what your looking for then this is the place to be in derby. Comfortable with a great atmosphere, shisha is good too. My only downside would be the type of music they somtimes play, but this is personal taste.The staff are very attentive and the food is wonderful, especially the deserts. Definatly the best place in derby!

I had a chicken salad which was pretty standard, nothing special to it. I found a white strand in the sauce that came with the salad and that put me right off my food. Apart from that issue I can see this place being a nice restaurant for shisha and deserts, but I wouldn't recommend buying any savour food items from the place. However the staff members were lovely and the interior is fabulous.Sadly I won't be visiting this place again.

Visited here for a birthday party.. The atmosphere is great.. Top notch. The way it is decorated etc is excellent.. However, the smoke wasn't all that. The coal staff didn't really know what they were doing had to kind of sort it out ourselves..

This shisha bar, is friendly, well priced and has a brilliant atmosphere, large selection of food and drink, not to mention the good quality shisha that's on offer.

I have been going here for over a year, love it so much I go nearly every day. The staff are so friendly and helpful, like a second family to me. Food is great and the waffles are to die for, highly recommend trying them! Shisha is the best i have had in the UK and I am fussy about my shisha having lived in Dubai. My favourite shisha mixes are paan, coconut and mint and my second favourite mix is paan, grape and blueberry! They really know how to mix a good shisha here!!!!

I found this place really friendly and excellent value for money. The portions were generous and they have a great selection of fruit juices, like guava and mango, both of which I love, but often find it hard to find.

I came here with a friends on a few occasions being it the nearest sheesha bar to me. The first time the staff were rude and often forgot about us and my milkshake. second time the place closed early even though i rang to check the closing times, was not apoligised to. Was recomended by the waiter at okra and what an amazing place this is. Didnt know it even existed me and james loved it here the service & the quality of the shisha is 10/10 also the place is so beatiful with high class vip booths (had to sit in the booth as it was so busy with a great atmosphere). Imran is such a nice guy and definitely knows a lot about shishas. Keep up the good work guys we will be back with friends and family

I have been to this establishment before and must say that it has been consistently very good. The place itself is finished to a very high standerd the irn bru shisha is definitely the best shisha I have ever had the staff is also very friendly and all ways willing to help. Last but not least I would recommend the jerk chicken wrap it tastes great. Will definitely be visiting again and would recommend it to all my friends and family

Frequently visit this place with friends and family and it never fails to impress. As you can see from the other reviews, the shisha here is fantastic. There's a large selection of flavors for all tastes and very reasonably priced. Staff here are very friendly and attentive to your needs, willing to do whatever is required to make your visit an enjoyable experience. Although we mainly visit this place for shisha, the food and drinks are very good and compliment the smoke nicely. The seating is very comfortable and the decor creates a great atmosphere - easily one of the best shisha lounges I have visited (and I'm very fussy)

As an honest opinion of this place (judging i have been to almost every shisha cafe in the uk) this tops all of them based on service, staff, shishas, drinks and food. The place has not been cheaply done like many shisha bars out there, the staff have made everything to the highest standards. The staff are very professional and since the day they have opened, i know they have always looked after every customer they have. If you do not enjoy something you won't even need to ask twice and they'll change it. The shisha flavours are all genuine and the coal used is to the highest standard to insure all flavours to last and not got harsh. The seating is comfortable and music is not repetitive and range from variety of genres and languages to suite all. Their also very known for their food and desserts so make sure you give them a try. For those that worry if its too cold to visit the cafe, they've got heaters surrounding the place and are equipped for all sorts of weather! Well done to the Ashiana team will be visiting again soon!

I've been in England for one year and I've spent most of my time (and my money) at Ashiana Cafe and I really really enjoyed it. The atmosphere is so cool, all the staff are helpful and nice.There are so many different flavours, the food is really good (and notice I'm french), and also, it's really beautiful and clean !I will miss Ashiana so much !!

I've been here a few times with my friends and have really enjoyed it. I have to say the shisha is the best I've had in the UK and I have smoked a lot of shisha! There is a great atmosphere, the décor is pretty, the staff are friendly and helpful....it's really relaxed. It is often busy, so it's not unusual that you would have to wait for a table, especially on a Friday or Saturday. A great alternative to a night out drinking!

A good place that was recommended to us by a friend. but it didnt live up to the expectations that i expected. As soon as we arrived they told us that because they are busy, we will have a 30-40 minute wait however seemed like they forgot about us & no communication between us was communicated. We were finally shown to our table but by this time waiting we had enough. we thought that the shisha and food would be of higher quality which would lighten up our mood but unfortunately it was basic and low quality. Good setting indeed but low review due to rudeness/arrogance from a few members of staff. To make this place better for the future of the business, please take my advice and get some customer training skills embedded into your staff, they are rude & arrogant & dont no what professional service means.

All I'm going to say is, if you like contemporary setting, want the best shisha, THIS is the venue you must pay homage to. Driven all the way from London. Definitely will be coming once a month. Thank you Café Ashiana.

Its a amazing place so comfortable does not feel like it is out doors. Lady at the front of the house is polite and welcoming. Low review due to rudeness/arrogance from a member of staff in the shisha lounge that I did not expect from a professional setting. Manners does not cost a penny but the individual ruined my experience with his ill mannered behaviour and arrogance. But overall 5star amazing place. If I do go back I will have a word with management.

I have been to various shisha bars across the UK and this is the best one I have visited. It has a great atmosphere, décor is of great quality, the people waiting on were really attentive, regularly changing the coals and cleaning out the pipe. It had lots of outdoor heaters which made it really warm and you did not realise you were outside. I would definitely recommend this place and looking forward to visiting again.

shisha, service and food wise this place is awesome! on a personal level I really like coming here being dressed very differently from most but always treated with respect so I come here on a weekly basis. have already recommended here to my metal buddies who also like the hassle free enviroment. ace 10/10

Would like to start by saying i am a shisha fanatic and have been to many places in the uk.This place is amazing and 100% the best i have been to. From the shisha to the flower on my monbana hot chocolate it is faultless.The service is as good as it gets with regular coal changes and i must say I'm always defeated by the shisha it just doesn't want to burn out, magic?Have been 7days in a row (its always very busy) thats how special this place is just can't get enough of it. One more thing is the food is of very high quality,burgers etc.Would like to thank you guys for giving us a place like this in derby!!10/10 for Cafe Ashiana keep up the good work..

This has to be best Shisha/cafe/diner Lounge in the whole of the Midlands, if not the UK. Contemporary settings, unparalleled atmosphere. Attentive staff and fabulous food & service. Definitely recommended, will most definitely be back.

We had to see what all the fuss was about regarding Cafe Ashiana. Wanted to meet and taste the coffee served by the World Champion Barista but unfortunately she was not at work on the day of our visit, nevertheless the coffee we got was fantastic (much better then the other coffee shops i.e Costa, Starbucks etc.) so I wonder what she could serve if she was there. The deco inside is amazing coupled with comfortable seating and best of all a relaxed atmosphere. To our astonishment they also have an outdoor seating area for smokers which looks out of this world. They haven't spared a penny! Definately will be back again for the Ashiana Diner experience.

Visited this cafe after friends had seen it as they work close by. Very contemporary and tastefully furnished with a shisha area at the back and rooms upstairs. Staff very friendly and service good. Had coffee's/tea and cakes which were very good and priced as you would expect. Would certainly visit again.
