Birds never sell a stale cake Great new layout at the Allestree Birds

Lovely refurb but we tried to have lunch there but my mum wanted a scone but this could only be served on a napkin and without butter as we were informed that they couldn't serve butter due to food safety. Why is butter a risk and why are people being expected to eat dry scone? Strange.

Recently reopened after a major refurb. Made room for cafe without losing too much shop space. Not sure they have the flow right but enjoyed the shopping experience. Nice colours and decor which will be given to all their outlets in due course.

I got to admit my first time visiting this place the staff are very friendly. I tried the salted caramel chocolate cake with fresh cream sandwich in between absolutely lovely something you'll think will only be in places like the ritz. A1 Product

Fabulous cream cakes, bread and Deli goodies, cooked meat and pies, as well as hot meat or breakfast rolls and hot drinks, and filled rolls or sandwich meal deals. Best cakes EVER! 😋. Lovely friendly staff as well. Recommended.

Hubby is always buying us yummy fresh cream cakes from Birds. The bread is a bit pricey, but its lovely and tasty.

Always love a treat from Bird bakery, had some of there meat paste, took me back to being a kid, delicious, don't forget an Elephants foot for pud. Great !!!!!

This bakery has a selection of delectable delights, and always passes the taste test when compared to other similar branded bakeries on the High Street. Birds is usually the best choice if you fancy a snack or a little treat when out and about.

Delicious selection of bread, cakes and pastries. Both sweet and savoury. Always super fresh. Always top quality. The pork pies are the best I've had. This is not something I say lightly.

From time to time my daughter & i have trips to derby for various reasons and we have connections with the area & burton. We were car hunting and decided on a early morning sausage cob from birds at park farm. We have had them here before and they are to die for along with all the other lovely produce in the shop. Unfortunately,when we called the stuffing wasnt ready but the sausages are so tasty,the bread rolls so fresh and the apple sauce just adds to the overall experience. Was served by a courteous,pleasant young lady,very chatty & welcoming as are all the staff in the park farm shop. Immaculate,clean,bright shop.well observant of covid regulations. Staff member wearing visor outside helping customers with queuing and restricting customers allowed in the shop at any one time. Well done birds ! If all bakery shops were as good as this,we'd be laughing.

Birds cobs, what can I say everyone love them

Ran out of bread rolls for hot dog, but still wanted full price when I asked for the sausage on its own! Poor, very poor.

Birds bakery i cannot fault at all... no matter which Birds i go into its always good products and staff are wonderful.. i have even tried their cafe in the bigger bakery shops that's great value too.

Love Birds the Bakers. Anyone visiting Derbyshire should try their goodies. Birds at Park Farm, Allestree is my favourite.

Fantastic place, we have been using many Birds stores for many years, cannot beat their cobs and potted beef, followed by a caramel doughnut!

Do like birds cobs etc. I find the filled cobs and sandwiches expensive now though. Would be nice if they had soya milk too.

Set in the Birds shop,it's great to sit in the window with your coffee and snack of your choice from the hot or cold counter ,great value for money.

What a great place to stop off fOr a break whilst shopping ,they have lots to pick from hot or cold even naughty but very nice cream cakes ,we had a cake and a coffee really nice and got to slit in the window they also have outside seating,Birds is the best Bakers of Derby.

Called in for light snack. Two black coffees two cremated sausage cobs with stuffing and apple sauce. What more could you want. Will go again.

Went to allestree (park farm) the food is your typical 5 star birds but the staff are rude and obnoxious I'll stick to the one in town rather then have mood killers telling me I'm wasting boxes haha even for cakes. Cheer up ladies your faces are miserable

Went in and as always , for a big very popular birds there was not much left to choose frm @2pm it really should have more stock as people walking out empty handed and disappointed like we usually can be . Why don't you up your delivery as it's clearly wanted and needed

Been going in birds since I was a kid love there fresh cakes but if you get there late afternoon there's nothing left so best to go early

A fabulous baker with fresh stock every morning. The sausage are a favourite with us. The cakes delish and lovely fresh bread cut if required

Sat in the window seats with hot coffees eating excellent buttered cob with stuffing, apple sauce and a cremated sausage. Looking out of the window people watching. Staff all good. Will go again.

Lovely place to have a snack and coffee,lots to choose from hot or cold from the very tasty Birds counter the best money can buy.

Me and my partner go here for cakes and there lush pork pies every time that we come up from ipswich we just can't get enough of this nice food and the staff are always very welcoming and the prices are very good as well. So if you are in Derby you need to give this place a look as you will not be disappointed.

Lovely cakes, bread, pies etc from the bakery, but stop and enjoy one of their sausage, stuffing and apple sauce cobs washed down with a cup of coffee, then carry on shopping.

You get a great cup of coffee here at a very competitive price plus you can choose a pastry or a cake which has been made at the central Birds bakery overnight.My favourite is their Danish Pastry which in this area has no equal and its priced for well under a pound --a great buy!!!
