Excellent family run old school restaurant. Unfortunately the owners are retiring at the end of the month and closing the business

Sad that the owners are retiring in March. Go for a meal before then. Lovely staff, well cooked meals and very reasonable price

What a great cafe/bistro. Excellent sandwiches with thick ham and salad garnish. Quick service even though very busy. Very good value and not expensive.

Excellent family atmosphere. Lovely food, the true meaning of home-cooked. Quality and value for money and nothing pretentious. We need more British restaurants like this. We have called for lunch now for several years when returning from holiday in Yorkshire. Well worth the detour.

Great place to eat I had poached eggs on toast. I can not fault them. My partner had scone jam and cream she gave them a 10 out of 10. We know our scones been a cyclist . Music in the background spot on. 👌

Stopped off for some breakfast, parking at the rear which was very handy in a town centre. Staff were extremely friendly & the food was fantastic

Found this gem yesterday and totally recommend. We had lunch, my husband had the special which was cottage pie, which he said was perfection very tasty the best ever. When nearby we will definitely return. When we arrived they changed the water in the dog bowl and gave our dog a biscuit. Very friendly staff and gorgeous food. The desserts looked lovely but we we're too full.

Went here for breakfast on Easter Sunday morning with my partner and little boy, easy access and private parking, clean with plenty of room but somewhat dated decor, The staff was lovely and service was quick and prompt, The food was reasonable , well presented and as described but no better than what you would make yourself at home, cost £23+ for small porridge, pot of tea,egg on toast and small breakfast, for price thought quality should of been higher, but ok if wanting quick breakfast. To sum up we was satisfied and the staff and service was great.

we visited our uncle so always go 4 breakfast on sunday morning . they make me a special full english with gammon, extra eggs, extra sausages , absolutely the best !! ace staff c u soon

I love this place. I've been here a few times when I visit friends in Market Rasen. The staff are always lovely and personable, especially the young waiter and waitress. I wish we had somewhere like this in Leicestershire. Visited this week and sorry to see that it is up for sale. Checked the details and, if I were wanting to open a business like this, I would definitely buy it for the price they're asking. Came again today (18 December). Everything about it is excellent. Quality is still as good, and the place is still for sale.

We had booked a table so there was no delay. We had gone for brunch. My wife had Chicken Curry and I had Brunch Breakfast and we couldn't fault either.

Fabulous breakfast here. My husband asked for a 'special' and certainly got it. Large gammon with breakfast extras. Excellent!! Staff are fabulous. Nothing too much trouble.

Wonderful cafe in the centre of Market Rasen, couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. Had lunch here and it was amazing, even gave our dog a biscuit, perfect will definitely return.

Fantastic special of the day stuffed marrow, big breakfast was great, lovely service.

Its the best place to dine in Market Rasen ,been a few times now & will be back again in the future, great selection of food & drinks aswel as the special board ,can't fault the place .

Visited on a bike ride. Bluntly told a latte doesn't have frothy milk - this is the only one like that I've ever come across, and I've drunk a few. A waitress did offer to 'put a head on it' for me! Coffee taste was disappointing really. 2 friends were charged the full price for a second shot of coffee, making their large coffees the price of 2 small ones, which seems excessive. Service friendly and efficient (apart from the frothy milk experience).

One should advocate safety essential hygiene and good measures during covid ..but this place is spoiling it's good reputation for their overboard ruling .It's fair to say hygiene is 100 percent but is it necessary to make people also feel extremely uncomfortable with rudeness DO THIS DO THAT I was asked to sanitize at the gate and do the APP 50 yards away repeat not necessary . My poor Husband was removing his mask and literally was told ...not on the table !Chairs inclusive of every leg and base were washed next to us .Yes high cleaning standards but not with the amounts of the cleanser used within breathing distance. One would also perhaps rejig the mirrors of house rules one either side of the room so they are visible for all to see not just one side. Sad as its lost its enjoyment .

Upon arriving I asked if we could be seated for breakfast. The older lady, I'm assuming her name is Karen, asked if I has sanitised my hands which I told her I had. She then insisted I sanitising my hands again after going into my pocket to get my phone. She then told us to leave with an awful attitude. I have eaten here a few times and the food has been okay, but I shall not be returning due to this miserable cow.

Group of 8 turned up on bikes. They could jot have been more helpful. Will call in again next time we're in the area.

I was smiling all the way through this visit, good food and drink, clean etc, the thing that got me smiling was it was a bit back to the 1970s steel coffee pots, doilies etc brill!

Lunched there many times, always excellent quality. Have been back 3 times since lockdown ended. Jossals full salads are also fantastic. You'll never get bigger, better or fresher anywhere!!

Now reopened with social distancing. Good service.

This restaurant located in the Old Post Office Market Rasen is a place I visit frequently. There is a very homely and friendly atmosphere where you can relax and enjoy a home cooked meal with desert. Tea coffee all very reasonably priced. Nothing is too much trouble for them. 👍😄

Lovely venue and staff were great especially as our party consisted of children and dogs. The homemade cakes and scones were delicious too!
