Fantastic spot for lunch or dinner, the owners were extremely welcoming and attentive. They are very interesting people, with a love for travel and family. You can tell that there experiences have influenced their food massively as it was some of the best tapas myself and my partner have ever had and we’ve been all over too. We popped in for lunch and had the bread and oil, the prawns, the ribs and patas bravas. Top quality ingredients used throughout, decors lovely and rustic design and the atmosphere was just right for the venue. Had a great time and wished we could have stayed longer. Dan and Soph

Great coffee (coming from a coffee snob!), AMAZING cookies (other cakes available) and lovely polite and welcoming staff, made up of local volunteers and kids on work experience. Sat here with my partner for an hour, drank coffee, ate cookies and read our books - Enjoyed it even more knowing our money was going to a good cause. Would definitely recommend!

Usually amazing food, never had a bad meal in years. Tonight the battered mushrooms were hard and uncooked with soggy batter, beans were stone cold and had to be microwaved after a 4 min drive home. Very small portion of chips. Usually enough to feed two of us but barely enough for one. Hopefully just a one off.

Popped in midweek as an alternative to cooking and was blown away by the food. It was our first time eating - either sitting in or taking away - and everything was fresh and exceedingly tasty. Service was great and we couldn't fault anything about our visit. We will be back.

A hidden gem in Bourne’s crown. I used to be a regular, sadly not had the opportunity to visit for last few years. I went last night with my wife and her friends/colleagues for her works Christmas meal. Pleased to see that it has not lost its charm and retained its quality of service and food. We were welcomed and seated quickly, offered to take our coats and given time to settle and view the menu. We were allowed to bring our own alcohol as they are a dry bar, reasonable corkage fee, they supplied us with wine glasses. If you are looking for an intimate, well presented restaurant with great customer service and quality food I highly recommend Shalimar. Definitely will make an effort to return sooner next time.

Popped in on a Sunday to try their sunday lunch . Will definitely go back . Lots of veg , choice of beef or pork. Other dishes available on their chalkboard including vegetarian. Service was very good . Please give it a go , you won't be disappointed. Also , the bar has a great choice of ales which are in great nick.

This Costa has slowly declined since moving premises. Manager has no customer service skills and staff are always complaining. Not to mention closing off most of the shop 2 hours before closing, making it as uncomfortable for the customer as possible. It used to be a lovely place to go but not any more. But I would rather drive to Stamford for the ambience of Nero than spend any more money in this hell hole.
