Booked the Jubilee for a private party, Jack the manager went out of his way to ensure the night went smoothly which it did! Food was lovely as it's off the menu but a buffet style. Definitely recommended.....

I have been here a few times for a ladies night out. It looks like a sports bar, but the food is absolutely divine, and if you get there early it's not too loud or too busy. They also do a fabulous 2 meals for £10. So good it feels like robbery! I've never had a bad meal there and I've been going for the last 4 months.

Impromptu tea out with the family, Quiet monday evening but special of 2 selected mains for £15. Met by the friendly manager, very welcoming, seated and efficient waitress quickly took our order, food was with us in 15 mins and was exceptional, chips were crispy and tasty and in such large quantities, the burger almost beat my 15 year old. Very pleasant evening good value for money and lovely atmosphere.

We were well looked after as a party of 15 (aged 8-73!) for our annual extended family festive meet up. From 'booking' to 'table' as it were, we were conscientiously served and looked after, especially as one of our party had a severe garlic allergy. The portions are good! Had a fantastic evening in here! Lively/fun atmosphere which my family and I loved. Full of other people having a good time. There were a group of rugby lads in one corner - they were partying pretty hard after winning a Cup Final but they were pretty well behaved and the bar staff managed them well. Probably a quieter night without the rugby lads but if I wanted a quiet night I'd have stayed at home! Good range of drinks and nice food.

Just moved to Bourne, heard about this Pub as a good place to visit. There was a rugby crowd in who absolutely intimidated every one. Broke panels from the wall & chanted constantly. The bar staff couldn't control them & there didn't seem to be a manager on site. (Although I was told that a female supervisor was popping in now & again, not sure if they would have took any notice) There was a number of glasses broken & before I left they were serving in plastic cups! Not sure what sort of pub this is really. Nothing mentioned on TA about the rowdiness. Not sure I'll return at this point. Might try the Wine Bar when it opens or Wetherspoons rumoured to be opening. Having moved from Bolton quite shocked to find a local pub like this. Shame!

I'm a regular at the Jubilee on a Friday lunchtime, a warm welcome always awaits, the manager seems very attentive and always has smile on his face. The menu is somewhat basic but the food served is always of a good standard. My husband has also commented in the past that the pub is very good for the football and that the beer is generally good but can be pricey. My only criticism would be the cleanliness of the toilets can sometimes be iffy, when mentioned to the manager he has always apologised and I've even seen him go in with a mop and bucket, Overall a good bar.

Having recently moved to Bourne we were pleasantly surprised when we came across the Jubilee and have used it as a couple and also with our son. Staff have always seemed friendly and are happy to have a conversation, something you seem to see less and less of these days. I've heard a few people complain about the prices and yes I agree some of the beers can be a little high in price but I think its a pay for what you get type of situation. In my opinion recently the beers have changed for the better, I had a directors the other week and it was lovely. Plus if you use the pub wisely during happy hour or when live sport is on your getting a brilliant deal. I've eaten here a couple of times mainly on a Wednesday for the Burger deal and I must say its great value for money. For me the best bar in Bourne for sport and a quick bite to eat.

It amazes me but this place is good and has an Ok atmosphere, but every time I go in there seems to be a lack of customers.. beers are a bit hit and miss. During the week I get the impression that the staff are a little undertrained in most things - changing barrels seems to be a constant theme. there have been many occasions that I have been in there and the staff have not been able to change barrels and have had to call for help to do it. This seems to me to show that the staff are not being respected as they appear to be neither confident enough or trained well enough - manager never seems to be around in evenings unless its weekend.... but then I'm not in there every day I like the place been there many times prices are ok not great but ok for Bourne - best value for cost v bar, but could be cleaner.particular attention needs to be paid to toilets as they are seldom clean and my wife says the ladies never has loo roll and all lights working !! - I'm sure it isn't NEVER but that how it feels to her. I don't see the hourly toilet check sheet posted anymore so maybe they have stopped checking loos ... that's pretty backwards for a public place in this day and age.. lets be honest unless its weekends the staff are NOT rushed off their feet !Happy hour is good value, and works as wife's wine is also cheaper...sunday afternoons are busy as are sat when football is on. recently changed the football season ticket ( start of the season ) which now for me doesn't work as wife wine is no longer discounted and no stamp given for it, so stopped going in with her at weekends. overall its Ok. personally I think at the moment it doesn't seem to have a real identity - its not a full on sports bar, or a child ( yes they are welcome but not that kid friendly) pub or a drinkers pub or a dinner pub. It a little of everything and as such has nothing that it specialises in.sure that Ross will comment in his usual manner accusing me of bad grammar or by asking me to use the wetherspoons when it opens - which incidentally I will defiantly as will most of the locals I talk to in here..but maybe if he actually took some criticism and actioned / rectified things it would be GOOD for the bar

for some reason the opening hours have all changed. I was in here a few sundays ago and it closes at 7 ! so football just finishes and place deserted and closing up. problem is that the staff all start to clear up early and just seem to be waiting for it to close. Only one girl working there seems to care and is constantly serving and chatting to customers. rest just stay at kitchen end of bar gossiping and playing on phones ! amazing that it seems that the place has the hangmans noose around its neck and instead of pulling out all the stops to break free, its just standing around waiting for the trap door to open and the place to close for good. its such a shame.. closing early and opening later in mornings just makes it seem like its struggling , so its not somewhere you want to go.one or two good staff the rest from what i've seen id fire and start again. if they don't want to work then don't let them and get people who do want to work and interact with the people who hand over their hard earned cash ! too many men working there. if its sports bar then usually means more bloke customers than women and blokes like to chat or be chatted to by girls especially, but men as well if its a good chat ! come on guys wake up step up and start to run a good bar again..

This pub is great for many occasions as a football fan with a young family i use it regularly for two reasons. 1. A family diner. Food is well priced and well catered towards families. There are also toys, swing seats and the upstairs bar is a VW van which makes it ideal place to take kids in the day. Service is always efficient and friendly and staff will cater to specific needs, we have a gluten intolerant.2. Sports bar. Lots of tvs and pool table make it a great place to come and watch football or other sports events. First visit of the 2015 football season and the Jubilee/Garage, not sure what they want to be called now, did what a football/ sports pub should. Loads of screens and the chance to watch the game. Used to visit the Jubilee years back on girls nights outs and since its the live music scene I support more now, I don't visit The Jubilee as often. Went for a meal with the chaps from work in December and most recently with my boyfriend. Managed to get some food while the buy one get one free offer was on (Jan/Feb 2014) and both had a nice steak and chips meal. Was very filling and enjoyable and we managed to get our food served and eaten in time for me to get back to work after my lunch hour. Both steak and gammon were very tasty, and staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely go again - in fact tried to on Saturday but since the football was on it was packed so had to have a rethink. Decor is in the style of an old garage (due to it being on the site of an old garage), so may not be somewhere to take older relatives if thinking of a "traditional pub" meal. Better for families and younger people with a menu thats steaks and building your own burger.

The service was a little slow (in terms of coming over and taking our order, she required prompting) but the food came quickly and was very good. It was all served in a retro way (baskets and a wooden box) and was hot and portions were plentiful. We were delighted we could take our dog in with us too! The food was on the pricey side and menu limited to burgers and hotdogs and similar food but you would not expect more from what is predominantly a Bar.

A great theme pub for the younger customer, very American style with great garage memorabilia and up stairs Volkswagen camper van used as a bar .It has a crazy menu with the top of the menu is a £75.00 special it is enough to feed 8 to 10, but if you can eat one your self in an hour you only pay 20 percent.

The re-invention of this pub has been done with so much thought and effort. The theme of the garage is fun especially the swings used as seats! I would call it a younger persons pub but whatever age it is still worth a visit. A different menu which is nice for a change and all the usual wines and beers. A wonder around the pub is a must especially to the bar upstairs? Bourne is so lucky to have a fun venue like this.

As a family, we love american style food. Burgers, ribs, wings etc so when we spotted this had opened up in the next town, we had to give it a go.We visited on a VERY quiet Saturday lunchtime. The place is themed a bit like a garage with oil cans on the walls and upstairs an VW campervan has been cut in half to make a bar.But downstairs it was dark unwelcoming. My wife ordered a chicken burger. That was cold. It was cooked at some point in the past but clearly somebody had forgotten to stick it in the microwave after taking it out of the fridge and before putting it in a bread cake. How hard can that be? In the end it was replaced (reheated in the microwave) and the price knocked off the bill.I ordered the "toolbox" which consisted of a collection of fries, chicken pieces and chicken wings which looked like they had all been thrown into the deep fryer together and then tossed out into a wooden box. I had to ask for the accompanying coleslaw that the menu claimed came with the meal. In any event it was deep fried hell. No chicken deserves that.My sons burger actually looked OK.The staff seemed as though they didn't want to be there and the whole place just left us cold and listening to other diners sat around us, their meals were no better. On a Saturday night, this place becomes a town centre bar with live music. I can see that being really good but as a place to eat during the day, this place seriously misses the mark and we will not be returning.

Have eaten here in the past and would have been more than happy to invite friends. On todays experience, would be embarassed to take anyone. First choice on menu unavailable but wasn't aware until after we had ordered, second choice was available but was only of average quality and the burger was overwhelmed by the huge soft bap in that at times you was just eating bread! Coffee undrinkable! Overall, a disapointing meal in a nearly empty venue. Staff very pleasant, let down by the food on offer.

Recently had a change in theme to resemble a 50's diner. Preferred it when it was Italian themed and even more when they did their amazing home cooked Sunday roasts! Good night life at the weekend though. Very lively.

We were visiting friends in Bourne today and decided to pop into The Jubilee for lunch as we heard it had been recently refurbished into a 1960's Garage theme, apparently it used to be a garage!! From as soon as we entered the bar we were made welcome, and wow, you have to see this place it was like a classic "Hard Rock Cafe" with garage memorabilia, great atmosphere. We took a downstairs table with our drinks we had from the bar and browsed the menu, I have to say the menu is truly worth a read as the meal combo's of Nacho's, Sandwiches, chicken, burgers and hot dog's were just what we were looking for, we ordered from a very friendly waitress and within 15mins the food arrived and the place was quite busy, I was blown away with the speed, size of portions and presentation was exceptional!! I had the "Jubilee steak sandwich" it was AWESOME!!! my friends had 3rd gear Nacho's, a Club Sandwich and a Cheese & Bacon "Jubilee" Burger, every meal was cooked perfect, credit to the Chef he rocks, were planning to do the "Truck stop challenge" a real Man vs. Food next.

I'm not a lover of 'pub food' but was pleasantly suprised with the Jubilee. The venue was unique and interersting and the staff pleasant and helpful. The food was suprisingly good with generous portions, well cooked and tasty. The pasta dish was delicious and the burgers were up there with the better burgers I've eaten. The drinks and food were all reasonable value for money and all in all my family and I had a very good experience.I would definately go there again......

We visited The Jubilee as a group of 9, and we had high expectations ..... sadly this was not what we experienced. Whilst the staff were friendly & helpful, the food which should have been the star of the show was very disappointing indeed. Our 7 year old had the Kids Tool Kit - the burger was just about big enough for a 7 year old, our 46 year old had the classic burger which was not much bigger then the kids version. It was overcooked, bland and boring. We also ordered the crispy chicken burger which was also small and over cooked. We wondered how the owner would feel if he had to pay for such poor food. ??

Very friendly helpful staff. Nice location just across from Belton House which we also visited. Good selection to choose from. All the members of our family were very pleased with the choices they made. Will certainly return when next in the area.

Everything is just deep fried. Sausages straight into the fryer then burnt to a crisp on the grill, black pudding straight out of the freezer into the microwave then deep fryer. Money touched then straight back to food handling. Disgusting waste of £14. Straight in the bin

So pleased that this unique bar is open and apparently flourishing, even if it is limited to Thursdays - Sundays, I believe. This superb little bar is just lovely, and although I am not totally convinced with the new current colour scheme, the overall effect is excellent, and the lighting and fittings make this wonderful 'antique' area magical. Top marks must be given to the staff, all of whom were in immaculate uniform, and could not have been more helpful. The cocktails they were producing were first class, and the whole atmosphere was really special. If you want to be assured of a table, then it is necessary to book for a two hour slot, primarily of course as space is so limited. Congratulations to the current owner, the Angel & Royal appears to be flourishing.
