Had the vegetarian breakfast with extra hash browns and a latte
Very clean plate of food and decent, only thing I'd change is I'd like the mushrooms cooked more, nice atmosphere maybe a tad expensive

To say 'I had a nice time at Shahjees' would be an understatement. Shahjeesâs quality canât be measured by the mere tools Google provides â âfood, atmosphere, and serviceâ. Rather, it was a full-bodied experience of tradition, warmth, and connection.
Every bite reminded me of something deeper â not just flavour, but memory. The seekh kebabs werenât just spiced and grilled; they carried the smoky warmth of family barbecues back home. The chicken tikka had that char and softness only found in age-old recipes passed from one generation to the next. The kadhai chicken, creamy and tangy, tasted like it was scooped straight out of a hot pot on a Sunday afternoon.
As someone whoâs roamed across the UK with a foodie's passion â from the alleys of Coventry to the heart of Leicester, from the buzzing streets of Birmingham to the corners of London and Nottingham â Shahjees stood out. Not just for its flavours, but for its soul.
The waiters smiled not out of duty, but out of genuine warmth. Every time I took a bite, there was a comforting nod, a reassuring glance â as if saying, âwe are here to not serve you but to protect you.â Guarding each bite was an ice-cold Pepsi, a simple touch that hit different under the hot April sun.
And then, as we walked out â a bunch of friends filled with laughter, satisfaction, and the calm joy that only comes after good food â the owner herself said thank you. Not casually, but like she meant it. It was a gesture that completed the experience: hospitality, flavour, and a welcoming environment that somehow made the hot April day feel cool.
Shahjees isnât just a restaurant. Itâs a reminder. A reminder of home, of togetherness, and of the kind of food that makes you pause, smile, and say, âthis is what I searched for during my time at the earth'

Great atmosphere, excellent service. Lots of screens. Perfect for the football or the boxing. Bottle of Prosecco for ÂŁ36 which is good value.
Food was decent I had the salt and pepper fries, pizza and garlic pizza bread.
I pre booked a table which I would advise to get a seat in front of a screen. Bar staff were polite.
Live music before the boxing was fantastic, people were up dancing so thatâs always a good sign. I would go back!

Ordered a pair of shoes online and chose collection from store. The shoes were sent from warehouse, not other stores. When I went to this store and collected my shoes, it was very obvious the box has been opened and the shoes have been tried on. There were dirts on the shoes leather surface and even the paper in the box was broken. I ordered this shoes and I already paid for it, how can they let someone else try my shoes and made it in such terrible condition? Returned immediately in the store and ordered online again, chose home delivery, I received a brand new pair of shoes. For sure itâs not the warehouse sent defective and dirty shoes. This store doesnât respect customers orders at all.
Soy un gran fan de la selecciĂłn de salchichas Gregggs tengo 0 quejas. El personal era muy agradable y todos eran muy serviciales en mi experiencia con Greg.
Disappointing start to the day.
Went here for breakfast on Saturday morning, arriving just after 8am. The door was open, and both the sign outside and the online listing said they opened at 8. However, we were turned away by a member of staff with no apology or explanation, just told to come back later.
I understand that things can run behind, but a bit of courtesy goes a long way. Even just a simple âweâre running a little late, but feel free to sit while we finish setting upâ would have made all the difference.
In the end, we went to Bear up the road instead, delicious food and genuinely great service. Would recommend heading there instead.
