Brilliant afternoon tea. Plenty to eat. Lovely atmosphere and very helpful and friendly staff. Setting is perfect plus it was a lovely day.

Charming tea room, albeit fairly cramped and not big on comfort - barely room to swing a cat on the table. Afternoon tea was good value for money, although I thought the sandwich fillings were a little on the mean side and I was surprised to see teabags in the pot instead of proper leaves. Carrot cake was excellent, as were the scones with jam and clotted cream. Cup cakes were sadly smothered in sickly coloured icing which seems to be all the rage at the moment - less is more. Cash only - although they clearly have the facility to take credit card guarantees. Very odd, and not that convenient in this day and age.

Visited with my daughter yesterday for afternoon tea on Mother's Day! It was a work-of-art - delicious food, beautifully presented in lovely surroundings. Staff were very attentive and were more than happy to box it up for us as there was too much food to eat! I would definitely recommend - a real treat!

Lovely afternoon tea for Mother's day. Visited today with my Mum and sister for mother's day. Who both really enjoyed themselves. Food was excellent and plenty of it , good selection of teas , coffees , sandwiches and cakes, made to feel very welcome by the staff and nothing was to much trouble for them. Do not visit this place ever I booked this place for 6 people, only 3 people can make it and charged me extra £30 when they only did enough for 3 people DO NOT ATTEND THEY WILL MUG YOU BLIND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We came on Saturday the 18th of November as part of a large group of 13. We booked for afternoon tea. The staff and management were hugely communicative and supportive throughout the process of securing our booking. I could not recommend this teahouse enough for your group gathering. They are helpful in every step of the process and go out of their way to keep you informed. Even when there were a few mistakes on our part as a group in terms of planning and execution, the staff were incredibly kind, patient, and communicative. They also offer vegan afternoon teas which come on their own individualised trays separated from the non-vegan food. They also are willing to listen to dietary requirements and preferences. We had an ambulatory wheelchair user as part of our group, who could get in to the venue through the door with no problem. There's a ramp and the door opens widely. There was a space to place the chair and fold it. They folded their chair, and walked to sit in a seat at their table. The venue isn't very large, so consider informing White Rabbit before coming just in case. From our experience, it is an accessible venue. I am really glad I made the decision to work with them and will consider keeping in touch for future bookings.

Found this little spot when shopping in the city, just off the busy streets on a small side street which made it the perfect quiet spot to have lunch. Just by looking at the artwork windows we could tell how lovely the cafe was. Absolutely loved the interior & the range of both traditional and unusual flavoured tea's, using all traditional fine china for service was such a highlight of the whole experience for me. I had the best toastie I've ever eaten (goats cheese, roasted red pepper & onion chutney). Couldn't recommend this place enough & the lady who was serving us was great. Can't wait to return sometime soon.

I'm not generally one for reviews but I recently ordered a special occasion cake here and OMG was it the right choice! I regularly grab coffee and a slice of cake from WR (I live on the other side of Nottingham but it's worth a detour, it's such a nice feeling as you step over the threshold into the quaint surroundings!) but I'd not ordered for a private event before. I was planning a special party and whilst visiting with a friend happpened to ask whether they made their cakes to order, the waitress was super helpful and before I knew it I'd placed an order! I've attached a pic of the beautiful cake I collected! It was an absolute show stopper at my event and the pic was snapped by a friend (who's rather handy with a camera) as she wanted to post it on Insta 😂 I'd gone for Victoria Sponge and it was absolutely delicious! Thank you so much to all of you at WR, it's such a stress trying to organise a party cake usually but you made the whole process absolutely smooth and easy, I'm already thinking about when I can order the next one.

Went out for an afternoon tea with a friend. The ambience was great, very in keeping with traditional English tea room. The scones were lovely especially with the clotted cream and jam. I did find the cakes a little bit too sweet and the sandwiches dry. In my own opinion, it was too expensive for an afternoon tea. Forty five quid for several finger-sized sandwiches, two scones, couple of cake and unlimited drinks. Overall, it was ok. Had better afternoon tea experience elsewhere.

Pretty disappointing trad. afternoon tea. No confirmation email. Rang same morning as visit as didn't want any embarrassment. I was taking a friend out to tea as birthday treat. Was told I didn't pay deposit so no email. Wasn't asked for a deposit. Anyway, nice little cafe but grubby table from outset; a liberal scattering of choc cake crumbs. Choc cake was not on the menu so these were remnants from previous customer. Interesting flavoursome tea choices but non arrived boiling hot. Finger sandwiches okay but white bread stuck to teeth. Nice cakes. And then ... a beggar arrived at our table handing a grubby hand out for money and almost made off with one of our cakes. Staff very slow off the mark ... as CCTV will no doubt endorse. When experience was shared with booking manager was told that the beggar is a regular fixture. This needs sorting. Won't be going back, There are better places.

With less than 24 hours notice the team at White Rabbit pulled out all the stops to help us cater for a very special family event. When the afternoon tea for 20 people was collected, it was beautifully packaged in boxes with each one tied up with green ribbons. All we had to do was slide the trays out of the boxes and put out on the tables. The sandwiches, cakes and scones were delicious! Thank you to everyone at White Rabbit who helped make it a very special day x

Beautiful little tearoom with really quaint decor. Popped in for a sandwich but couldn't leave without a piece of the amazing cakes they had on display, also had oatmilk which pleased my girlfriend. Thoroughly recommend.

Cosy beautiful gem of a cafe that offers wonderful food and feels very unique and special to the city. I love nipping in here alone or with friends, the service and atmosphere always warm and welcoming. Recently gifted my mum an afternoon tea delivery following a long hospital stay, she was over the moon with it and the selection of treats and presentation were incredible! Highly recommend a visit if you've never been, lovely place.

Booked for mothers day suprise for myself and our 7 and 13year old as a present for my wife. We had to cancel due to her being unwell. Restaurant charged a fee for the cancellation. the advertisement charge online for canceling a table was 20. However we were charged 80 for canceling.. more than we would have paid for tea and cake for two adults and two kids!! Tried to email and still no reply or reason or resolution for this extortionate charge.

We popped in today for a quick snack, and to see if it was still as good as it used to be. We hadn’t been in since lockdown. There were three types of scone, all baked today according to our charming waitress. We chose a cheese scone each, and it had to be the BEST cheese scone I have eaten in years, and I know my scones! The whole place looked clean, quirky and welcoming. The cakes on the counter looked fresh and tempting. We will be back!

Afternoon tea food was lovely but slow service, requested additional pot of tea but the waitress forgot to bring it so we had to ask again. Would have been nice if the table was already set up to make it look extra special. Processco was served in a Babycham glass rather than a flute which was a bit disappointing.

Wouldn't recommend. Milk was off! Didn't want to acknowledge it, which is why I wouldn't go back. We had no reason to lie about it and wanted to have a nice outing.

This was my very first afternoon tea. I came with my friend for her birthday and it was so special! She had a wonderful time and I particularly enjoyed the atmosphere and decor to set the mood. It’s every girl (and some boys) dream of a tea party. Absolutely fantastic! The food was to a high quality and I thought it was worth the money as tea and coffee is bottomless and everything was made fresh. As a vegetarian I get super worried about sandwich fillings but this place did it right! My favourite egg and cress and they also had Brie and chutney and houmous and veggie fillings which were amazing! Unfortunately I could only give 4 stars as my vegetarian option was served up next to my friends meat option. I didn’t realise they came on the same plate. I expected you to get a tier each. Next time I will ask for separate as I know I will be back! Also it would have been nice to have more quiche! But to end on a high, the cake and scones were delicious and beautifully displayed!

I visit White Rabbit Tea Room regularly, the friend I meet there and I enjoy the cosy atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff and delicious food. We love the vintage tea pots, plates, cups and saucers. It's my favourite place for lunch.

I visited with our eldest daughter on an inset day. We had a toasted sandwich and eggs royale with hot drinks. The food is perfect and freshly prepared.Please be aware they accept cash only and only have a handful of tables, it is a bijoux setting but popular.

Es un sitio muy pequeñito y encantador. Cuando llegamos tuvimos la suerte de que tenían una mesa libre (no tendrán más de 8 mesas). Nos atendieron enseguida y nos sirvieron casi al momento. Te ponen una teterita a juego con la tacita. I visited this restaurant yesterday with some friends. It was my first time visiting and I was pleasantly surprised. We all got afternoon tea and felt we got a lot for our money. One of the people I went with was had gluten-free afternoon tea and said it tasted fantastic. The food was amazing and the staff were really lovely. I would definitely go back here again!

Me and my grandma always go to the White Rabbit Tearooms when we are having a shopping day in Nottingham and luckily we always manage to grab a table. We always go for a latte, pot of tea and either 2 scones with jam and cream or 2 teacakes, we absolutely love it here, would highly recommend!

We visited here for afternoon tea and were really pleased. Proper loose leaf tea in gorgeous tea pots and cups and saucers. Cakes and scones were delicious. The staff were so lovely too. The only downsides are that they don't take card payments and there is only one toilet.

As it is £16 each I did not feel it was good value for money. For £32 we got 6 small sandwiches, 2 tiny quiche, 2 scones with jam and cream and 4 cakes.

My daughter recommended the white rabbit tea house so I treated her to afternoon tea for her birthday. The sandwiches were excellent as were the delicious scones with raspberry jam and clotted cream. The cakes were good with a little portion of three or four varieties which we shared but I think by the time we got to the cake we were both rather full! I loved the china cups and saucers together with a pretty teapot. I would highly recommend and certainly come back when visiting Nottingham again. Just remember to bring cash as they don’t accept any cards.

During the hustle and bustle of a day in the city it was nice to find this place quiet and largely empty the waitress was very friendly and explained the drinks we'd chosen well, even returning to check i was enjoying my gingerbread chai latte. It was nice to get swsy from the madness. The only downside ( if you can call it that) is that it was cash only. I'd gladly go there again. I loved the simple ' garndmas kitchen' approach to the decor.

Booked afternoon tea for a friend's birthday. Had to choose one sandwich choice!nothing else with it. No service while there, not offer extra drinks. Was served cakes with nuts when I'm allergic to nuts. Not worth the money, it would have been cheaper and more filling to just order a sandwich and a cake. Very disappointment.

I am here for a visit from the US and we came here for the afternoon tea. It has been my favorite thing about my entire visit this week. Everything was delicious! I wish I could take it all home.

Beautifully decorated, attentive and welcoming staff, fantastic range of cakes, 200 degree yummy coffee... I personally went for a fig, hazelnut and caramel cake which was to die for. The only thing that I’d say is, being a cash only establishment really surprised me as almost everywhere takes cash nowadays. This was quite inconvenient as there isn’t a cash point right outside and had to come back after getting some money out. Overall fantastic and would happily return but it would be a lot easier if they changed their cash-only policy.

We booked afternoon tea in The White Rabbit tea room West Bridgford as a local business as we all live in West Bridgford we thought it would be nice to stay local and support the local community, Firstly the place is very small and the noise levels were high, we struggled to hear the conversation around the table, I think it needs some fabric upholstery to soften the acoustics, we could hear the clanking of cutlery and the coffee machine over our own voises, the service was a little slow we waited 50 minutes for our afternoon tea to arrive but when it did it was very nice, with a few adjustments I’m sure they can replicate the success of their tea room in town.

The venue is light and airy and the service was friendly and rapid. Particularly good scones straight out of the oven.

This branch of the White Rabbit opened, recently, in the suburbs. It is quite small and when busy it is hard to hear yourself talk. However the food is fresh, homemade and well presented. We had a salad, quiche and a ploughmans. The salad had a very nice light dressing. Both meals were very tasty. The portion size was good and so it was a filling light lunch.We tried the coffee and a herbal tea which were good. The staff were friendly. I will go back there again.

We are currently moving to quality and timing Costa Del Sol from Nottingham and planning to open an English tea room in Spain. Great service, minimum waiting time< Great time girls :-)

Took my grandparents here today for a bit of a rest and a cuppa. The coffee was good, and they said their black forest gateaux was delicious. We probably stayed a bit longer than usual for a coffee stop, but the staff were lovely and friendly and we didn't feel rushed. Really nice decor and crockery too! I will be popping in more often.

Rather than having a choice of sandwiches on the tier, you have to select one type each to be put on before it arrives at your table. These are made from cheap processed bread. The scones tasted fine but were pretty small and the cakes were really poorly presented. My friend said the chocolate cupcake was nice but the salted caramel bite was rock hard and tasted nothing like salted caramel. I resent the fact we spent £30 pounds on this. It was honestly the worst afternoon tea I’ve ever seen.

I love the environment of this place, I can't count how many times I've been there on my fingers, I've been here with friends, my mum and lots of other people. It's a great place to get some tea and some cake and have a chat. The sandwiches are nice and the dressing on the salad (which is made by the owners dad) is very nice (I want the recipe for it). The decor of the inside is great too making a nice environment. The only complaint I could have is that sometimes the cakes are quite dry and due to the scones being frozen and then defrosted they can be a bit dry too. But other than that its a lovely place and they have great tea!

The small selection of food is fine and well made - same fare as any cafe e.g. sandwiches, paninis, afternoon tea and big on their cakes which all looked impressive. The service was polite and efficient up to the point when we came to pay when I stood at the till to be told they are cash-only (established City Centre business?!). I had taken a disabled client there for lunch, could not simply leave her to go and get cash and only had cards with me as I generally don't have cash with me nowadays. My client had to pay (to be reimbursed later) much to my distress and embarrassment. We had just been to a temporary market close by and were able to pay by card at stalls yet this established multi-site business doesn't take cards at its branches? To me this seems very unprofessional - and has left me looking very unprofessional. Of course it doesn't all have to go through the books if everything is cash or am I just being cycnical - it's my extreme embarrassment talking!

Just had lunch at their new restaurant in West Bridgford. Only when we came to pay were we informed they don't take cards. No notice in the window. Food was fine but won't be back and is too inconvenient, especially given that the sellers in the craft market marquee stones throw away happily take cards.

We went here in July as one of our activities on a hen do and it was absolutely brilliant. The food was delicious and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The place was decorated really nicely and I loved the vintage crockery and cutlery. We were even given little tubs so we could take home our left overs. I couldn't recommend this place any more highly. If I'm ever in Nottingham again I would definitely go back.

This charming tiny place has so much to offer! Starting from the freshly prepared cakes all the way to the afternoon tea which comes with different varieties of cakes, scones with jam, sandwiches and fruits. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, the tableware and decoration of the place was absolutely lovely, the owner clearly has good taste!

This establishment needs a serious rethink around lunchtime offerings - there is very limited hot food available for lunch, in fact the menu was so limited we left without ordering.

White Rabbit is a hidden oasis away from the bustling streets of the Lace Market. The service was excellent, I was the first lunchtime customer and I wasn't rushed by the staff. The food was lovely, I ordered a warm brie and bacon sandwich, and I don't think I could've made a better one at home. Keep up the good work.

One of the best afternoon teas I have ever had. Prosecco served with a strawberry on the side, great choice of sandwiches, fresh scones, choice of tea, plenty of cream and jam and a huuuuge selection of cakes on the top tier.

we stopped at this quaint tea house for afternoon tea. several kinds of tea served in china cups. scones with butter and jam were delicious. It is of a main street. We were with a local who knew exactly where to go. Would recommend for a mid afternoon snack and respite in a quiet locale

Disappointing afternoon tea. Cakes were good but we had to cut into 3 to get a piece each. Asked for extra tea and were charged an extra £2.50 each. One of the party was dairy free she didn't get any spread for scone. For £15.00 each felt it was over priced so disappointed

Just a few days before Mother’s Day (the Thursday) I was calling around trying to find somewhere to take my mother for afternoon tea. Most places were fully booked, and I was pleasantly surprised that White Rabbit could offer a table. I booked afternoon tea for two, quite early morning because that was the only time they could fit us in. Not a problem, I was just grateful to get a table!

This is a small tearoom and at busy times you are unlikely to get a table without waiting for a time, there are only about 7. Two friends and I arrived at going up to 2pm and were lucky a table became free. We were welcomed by a staff member. Decided to have the afternoon tea. Really enjoyed tea, sandwich(you choose a filling from a list), scone with jam and cream and then cakes. Certainly cosy, but good food. If you are in a rush this may not be the place but for a quiet afternoon tea it is ideal. Thanks to those involved.

When it comes to cakes and desserts, I'm really picky. I love the desserts that are not too sweet with selected ingredients. White Rabbit Teahouse does offer me this perfect afternoon tea. Its scone is perfect with creamy clotted cream and strawberry jam. The cupcakes are delicious. The decor is very cute as well!

This was my second visit the first one beginning lovely. This time not quite do lovely, dirty , sticky tables which put me off to start with. The staff were non to friendly food average, wouldn't go again or re ommend it.

After coming into Nottingham with my mum and sister for lunch today we arrived around 1.30pm to find that there were no tables available and were told we would have to wait around 10-15 minutes, this was absolutely fine and we had no issue with waiting. We were then told by the waitress that we would have to wait outside in minus 1 temperatures, in the freezing snow for our table! The way we were told instead of being politely asked was very disappointing. After leaving the teahouse in disbelief back into the freezing cold we decided to take our custom elsewhere and had a lovely lunch with great customer service at 200 degrees coffee shop. I have always highly rated lunch at the White Rabbit, but unfortunately after this event today I won’t be so tempted to spend my money here.

The teas themselves were very cheap so if you're a group looking to sample some tea or just have a nice chat over something hot, it's a good place. Their food is a smidge overpriced and I wish they had more options for it but other than that not bad.

Perfect high tea, good for special occasions. Amazing service and a wide range of nice sandwiches and cakes. Would highly recommend.

My friend and I have been wanting to visit this tea house since last year and we finally decided to go and brought along a few friends with us.

We have visted the White Rabbit a number of times and are never disappointed. Today, as we expected, was a wonderful experience. Service is attentive and the food delicious. I love the fact it's so personal.

We’ve visited this wonderful little place on several occasions - as a couple and with friends - and the food and service are always excellent. It’s our number one for lunch in Nottingham! Sometimes we’ve been disappointed to find it full but that’s just a sign of how good it is. Well done ladies!

After living in the city for nine year I finally got to try this lovely little place. I loved how quaint everything was. The scones are delicious from here as is the green tea with black cherry. Will go again soon.

We had the full afternoon tea. Really enjoyed the feel of the White Rabbit Teahouse. It's such a pretty place. Very small but was fine. We didn't feel the food was amazing (it was fine however) maybe that was because we went really late in the afternoon.

I was invited to a friend's baby shower for afternoon tea here, so I rang up to check if they could cater for vegans. I was told that they could. On the day I was offered a sandwich with the fillings: salad, peppers, beetroot or a mix of all. The sandwich came without any spread and was nothing to rave about. I have made better ones at home. I was surprised that they did not mention anything about the cakes and then realised that they won't be offering any. If as a café you aren't able to offer vegan afternoon tea please don't say you can. It's obvious this was done in order to ensure they don't lose out on business but it lets people down. I couldn't even make a complaint because I didn't want to ruin my friend's day.
