The best restaurants in Wollaton West Nottingham East Midlands

I walked from Wollaton Hall to this lovely pub, it had the friendliest folks working, and yummy food.

Esta es una comida china decente en el maravilloso Bramcote Lane en Wollaton. Solía ser 70% chip shop y 30% comida china para llevar, pero desde la llegada de Cod's Scallops unas pocas puertas más abajo, Jade Garden ha puesto todos sus huevos en la cesta china. De cualquier manera, es exitoso. Ha estado aquí desde mediados de los años 90, reemplazando al Sr. Man, que se mudó a locales mucho más grandes en Wollaton Park. Me gusta mucho este lugar, ya que solía frecuentarlo cuando vivía en la zona, así que fue agradable tener un poco de comida china de ellos de nuevo después de muchos años. La comida sigue siendo de buena calidad. Espero que consideres darles una oportunidad si estás en la zona, y espero que estén aquí por muchos años más.

Been going to this place for over 10 years and last night the owner decided he was going to be angry over an order that we've been placing the whole time we've used them! If they can treat their loyal customers like this then what else are they up to ?? As in regards to food it's OK not great or anything to shout about but what I will say is check the meat as on more than 1 occasion we've had chicken that wasn't cooked properly ! Best advice o can give is find somewhere that cares about their customers as well as their food !

Stopped here today for lunch,very friendly helpfull staff.food and service was very good and nothing was too much trouble.pub is an absolute credit to greene king and we will return.thanks team wheelhouse for a lovely vist

Wouldn’t bother. Tried twice for foo, first time no chef, 2 weeks later no food til after 5! And staff not interested. Why they cant put that on website or a sign is beyond me. Wont be a third visit.

Asked a polish taxi driver to take us to a really nice Asian styled restaurant. After nearly 8 miles away from our hotel he brought us here. Couldn’t really make anything out of the taste as it was all cooked for the English palate. Anyways the establishment doesn’t sell Halal meats. Luckily we asked. So you have to ask them before ordering. The guy taking our order seemed very confused when we asked him on the authenticity of the Halal meat. But luckily very hesitantly told us to eat the chicken. Anyways we stuck to the veg starters and dishes. I think the only person to get a buzz out of the whole experience was the taxi driver taking us back on a two way fare.

My favourite Chinese takeaway by far in the area. Such friendly service - unbelievably friendly and hygienic service. Food never disappoints. Pretty fast from order to delivery even on busier takeaway times and reasonably priced. Shame the soups aren’t often available is only negative. Strongly recommend for anyone in the area!

Fuimos a comer un domingo con nuestro hijo de 18 meses. El servicio era increíble y la comida muy buena. Bastante caro, pero creo que esto es justo lo que pagas por un asado de domingo hoy en día. Me gustaría señalar que hemos comido aquí varias veces en los últimos 12 meses, ya que recientemente se mudó a la zona y no hemos tenido una mala comida ni a mitad de semana o fin de semana. El servicio es siempre encantador, especialmente de Jen. Hay una crítica particularmente dura más abajo sobre alguien a quien le dijeron que se largara... solo para aclarar que estábamos allí para presenciar esto y la persona que escribió la crítica era una pieza de trabajo desagradable y antes le había dicho al personal algo similar. Uno de los lugareños se hartó del comportamiento de las parejas y les dijo groseramente que se fueran, para ser justos estaba justificado y una vez que se fueron hubo una gran alegría en el pub. Nunca antes habíamos visto una situación como esa y el pub generalmente solo atrae gente amable.

No confíe en que la cocina esté abierta. Es decepcionante que, aunque este pub es el grifo de la cervecería, parecen ser incapaces de garantizar que la comida siempre esté disponible. Esta es una decepción no infrecuente.

had a great evening with friends was only having a few drinks but had food and that was great to, the service was wonderful

Queued 25 minutes, expensive, dogs on sofas, dirty tables everywhere, understaffed, overcrowded. Been here before many times, this is the worst it's been. Just not very impressive for the price, location, setting etc. Either be premium, or mediocre, but don't try both please. Kids said it wasn't better than Gregg's, but it was cold and double the price.

Visited today Tuesday 14th Jan 2025. plenty of free parking nearby. Got a seat ok. A nice well priced menu. Order and pay at counter and order delivered to table. the coffee was very nice and the toast with marmalade was ok. very friendly service

This is my second time ordering from this takeaway and this time I was very disappointed The chicken dumpling hardly had any chicken in it which tasted more of curry than anything else the very small portion of ackee and salt fish left me disappointed and the rice and peas was just bearable No point in pre-ordering your meal as it will come later anyway
