Wollaton 508 cafe in Nottingham

Arrived at 3.30 and queued up to get a hot drink, waited 10 minutes to be rudely told that hot drinks weren’t being served anymore as they had switched the machines off to finish the day, it’s advertised as being open until 4 and there were still customers in the shop. Very annoying as I had walked passed a coffee van earlier in the walk.

Food expensive. £3 for a hatdly cooked sausage roll with no flavour. Greggs better! Drinks expensive. £5 for a Frappuccino that tasted of nothing. Wouldn’t recommend.

We needed to use the toilets and they only had one open so there was a long queue. It has a sign up saying this is because it's the low season. If you're opening the café you need to have adequate toilet facilities. There's no excuse. Then when you finally get in it's absolutely disgusting! Filthy and no toilet seat. If I'd needed to change my baby I'd have done it outside on the grass instead because it was so squalid and unhygienic. Then you see the staff unlocking a different toilet for them to use and locking it again afterwards despite the queue for only one open to customers.

At peak afternoon time this café under the arch had only one member of staff taking orders, serving, making drinks and payments. I stood there for over 15 minutes, with an extremely stressed autistic child waiting to pay for an ice lolly and an ice cream. By the time we were eventually served, both ices were clearly beginning to melt... the café needs more staff and a system !

Expensive for the choice and quality. Painfully slow service. Mind you I've found that in all places run by Nottingham Council. Its like a competition between the staff to move as slowly as possible.

Great cafe inside the park, fresh well made cakes (sticky ginger cake is great) and hot chocolate was delicious!! - pleasant service.

Tasty cakes and hot and cold drinks. Recommend the Frappuccino. Choose a table overlooking the park.

I ordeed a bacon roll, which was cold when it arrived. I returned it and asked for another freshly cooked, I didn’t want it warmed up in a microwave. It arrived five minutes later, obviously not freshly cooked in that length of time. The bacon was like cardboard. £5.50 for something that was not edible. Daylight robbery. I’ll never buy anything from there again

On-site cafe at Wollaton Park. Over 30 minute queue just for a drink, as they only had one barista on duty on a Saturday. Whilst she was doing her best, this is hardly good planning on the part of management, when they had lots of staff on-site!

We arrived at Wollaton Park after a 2 hour journey from Hertfordshire. We needed the toilet on arrival and used the ones at the side of the cafe. The one I went in had a filthy muddy floor and no toilet paper. We decided to get some lunch at the 508 cafe. On joining the queue there was only 3 parties of people ahead of us. We saw a notice on the fridge with 4 different types of sandwiches made to order. After waiting 15 minutes it was our turn to be served. I asked about the sandwiches, only to be told they weren't doing food. The server said I would have to go to the other cafe in the Courtyard. I told her it would be useful to have a notice on the door telling customers. She looked at me as though that would be a silly thing to do!

I have walked past many times due to living near the park and thought how nice it looks. Today I thought I would treat myself to a cake. With the COVID situation I was pleased that there wasn't a queue at all, so I went in, it was clearly signed entry and exit, although I noticed others ignored those signs! I Chose a muffin, bottle of pop and a 32.4g of white button. I am still unsure of being in places, so didn't ask prices like I would normally do. My bill was £5.80, I was shocked but paid. The cake was £3, it was delicious but very expensive at £3! The pop was £1.80, again pricey but what really shocked me was the buttons at £1! It was a tiny bag and totally over priced. I am so glad I did not have children with me and do not know how the average family afford prices like this. Please help families and think about your prices, so many families must be struggling now but a little trip to the park and a treat would be great trip for them. The service was friendly and helpful. The area clean and tidy and well worth a visit. And of course it is dog friendly and all dog walkers thank you for that.

Very pleasant staff and the coffee and hot choclate we had was perfectly acceptable. The cafe was warm and inviting.

We visit regularly for coffee which is excellent. We tried the soup last week and it was delicious and a good portion with bread. Really friendly staff and the cafe is clean and well run. We love it there.

Great little cafe. Lovely food with vegan options, and vegan ice creams too! Maria is just lovely and made us so welcome. The dogs felt very relaxed.

Lovely new cafe serving great lattes with outdoor seating so you can keep an eye on the little ones in the adventure playground.

Really nice little cafe. Small seating area inside but lots of outdoor seating overlooking the children’s adventure play area. Perfect to go with children, or for a quiet coffee on a cold morning,

Not great overpriced £20 for two weak coffees two toasties and a children’s lunch box all over low quality, do not mind paying for quality but this is daylight robbery, would not return again even for a coffee
