Costa Coffee in Nottingham

This is a super busy little booth. But just had absolutely incredible service from Rebecca who was lone working and serving people with care and compassion. I wouldn’t have been able to do the same. Thankyou!

I had two late coffee no testy like milk i didn’t feel coffee not good enough.I don’t know what is wrong with that lady making coffee different than others….

The manager here was very rude and had an extremely bad attitude. After all these years of drinking Costa coffee, she told me that packing required a fee, but there was no price list or anything to prove that this fee was required. She claimed to be the manager of this store and said that no matter who complains, no one would care or take any action against her.

The coffee is lower than standard commercial coffee beans

Is this a Costa coffee or a Karen's Diner? Actually amazed by how the staff were so rude about the orders they had just taken, openly expressing annoyance about having to make a cold drink "I'm not paid enough for this" and saying IN FRONT OF MY FACE "why am I putting a coconut out when I have two oat milks right here." Because I like the taste of coconut in my mocha. And obviously nobody cares because nobody has commented on the other negative reviews posted here. I get it, minimum wage customer service jobs suck from time to time, I'm in one myself, but I would never be so actively rude to a customers face especially when they're desperate enough for caffeine after two late shifts to buy your overpriced coffee. Sort it out.

Had a connection early this morning at Nottingham station so stopped at the Costa for a drink. Ordered two drinks, immediately told that they didn't have the size we ordered. After the order was placed we had to wait about 5 minutes until one staff member came to the counter and asked everybody in the queue what she was making because she'd only had one order through, strange given that there was about 6 people in the queue. Upon hearing from her colleague in a rather unpleasant tone, we were told that we'd simply "have to wait" as we wanted frappes. We a further 5 minutes whilst peiple behind us in the queue walked off with equally obscure drinks before us. When it eventually arrived, the presentation was dreadful, coffee and syrup dripping down the outside of the cup and the cream that they had used must have run out as we were left with a thin film of what I can only assume was milk on the top of the drink. I have heard that Starbucks is nearby - if you have the time, go there. If you're in a rush, you're better off waiting until your destination.

took a painfully long amount of time to make 2 coffees (around 10 minutes) so nearly missed our train, staff were bickering and had no idea what was going on and had to check what our oder was twice before making it, only had small cups left yet still took 10 minutes to make a drink, and once the drinks arrived they were messy with coffee running down the side of them, ill prepared and overly syrupy. There’s a starbucks around the corner, just go there instead.

We came to get coffee from this place at 16:45. The person working working here at Sunday 23rd June said he has closed the store when the closing time clearly showed 5pm closing. He was not even busy closing the store and was just scrolling away in his phone.

Used this Costa a few times before hopping on a train to LND. Always end up with tummy issues after having a coffee here! To be honest the staff wasn’t very nice either each interaction. One time when my son was about to ask for marshmallow and cream with his hot chocolate was given an eye roll by the staff. A place to avoid if you don’t want tummy issues whilst travelling and an awful customer service! Starbucks is right outside and with better service and safe for the tummy!

The staff really make this small coffee venue. Nothing is too much trouble, they make alternative suggestions if drinks aren't available and they are always very welcoming.

brown haired woman staff member is so incredibly rude!! i walked up to the till and just said “please may i ask the wait times on drinks?” as i had a train to catch so wanted to see if i should leave it or not. she looked at me with the filthiest look and held her hands up like i was stupid and said “hot or cold????” i just looked at her for a second because the way she spoke to me was so rude when i had politely asked a simple question. i said hot and she pointed to the people beside me and said well there’s 2 people in front of you there. i simply just walked away. won’t be giving money to rude staff. looks like by the rest of the reviews everyone else had bad experiences with the staff too.

Had black coffee i was drinking it throe thr lid when coffee stopped flowing I tool lid off to fine what apperd to be bird dopping in the cup , took it back all they could say was sorry and gave me a fresh coffee , i did not drink it !!!!!!!!!! first and last time I will use costa at the station !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No good morning, or communication from lady she stared at tge till the whole time. When it came to pay she said it’s in front of you really rudely!

I'm very greatful this Costa is here. It's the only place you can get WiFi in the whole train station!

Rude staff and very poor service. The store didn't have the decency to cancel my order; instead I showed up on time to collect my order only to be told they couldn't fulfill it.

Ridiculous interaction here. Asked for an iced latte in a paper cup and was told that it isn’t possible to serve it in a paper cup as it’s ‘not allowed’. The employee tried to say it was out of her hands and refused after I explained I worked at Costa before, (and have even worked a shifts at this very branch!) and I’ve done this for customers many times. Why a paper cup? Considering the paper cup is made with 100% plant based fibres and the clear plastic cups are likely going straight into the landfill and will not be recycled (most of them aren’t, they’re sent for recycling but most are shipped to developing countries), I think the paper cup should be an easy option for anybody who asks for it. Absolutely ridiculous honestly. Nothing against the employee, she was young and didn’t know any better, but this needs to be addressed as a store and even nationwide. Embarrassed that I worked here.

Rude staff! Edit: I just came again (8 months after my original bad review) and it's exactly the same. Staff are incredibly rude and yet again there was no cold drinks available

Fast service. Just grabbed a cup of of my hot chocolate. Stopped for a minute at the table to take a picture of Costa facilities and gone to catch my train.

Flies everywhere, sitting on the signs and cloths under the coffee machines. Girl that served me today even had filthy fingernails. Sub standard costa do not recommend.

Employees here are one of the most miserable people I've ever seen, everything you ask for seems like a chore. It's usually more than one person on duty, however the service is incredibly slow at all times, staff aren't attentive and really do take their time doing anything else but serving customers. Starbucks across the road has much more attentive employees that get the location of the establishment and will go out of their way to get you a morning coffee in no time. Definitely don't recommend starting your day here.

I rarely leave comments, but definitely wouldn’t recommend this place. It’s not friendly at all. The staff didn’t greet me, it was fine at first, but it felt really bad after I saw she greeted next customers with big smile. I didn’t know I needed to bring the sandwich to the counter (because I am not from here and this is my first experience at this café ), however, the staff asked me to bring it to the counter with very impatiently voice and face. Not sure it was some sort of discrimination or what. Very bad experience and it ruined my morning mood.

This place has gone down hill over the last few months half the time they haven't got the right milk then u get just over half a cup full then to top it off the its so hot it burns the coffee beans.

Not a great customer experience, but coffee was fine and brownie was fresh. Probably won't be back.

A new exciting day ahead of my twin brother Stephen and I in this exciting city ,we found ourselves heading to Beerheadz in the station but we were a little early so we ordered a flat white coffee each in the station Costa Coffee. Coffee was good,a big fan of the coffee served in Costa Coffee, its always consistant in their outlets and their flat white coffee is a particular favourite of mine, not much in the way of seats but that's fine as we were enjoying our coffee's waiting for the Beerheadz Craft Beer Bar to open. This Costa Coffee is easy to locate along Carrington Street in Nottingham Railway Station, most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area.

Used to call in for a coffee here most days as it’s on my way home. Good staff and good coffee, fair selection of food, and they take up part of the station forecourt with maybe ten tables and chairs so you can sit and relax. At least they used to, the least five times I’ve been there at various times of the day, The tables and chairs have been stacked in the kiosk. The station itself only has three benches to sit on and are usually full. I personally now go to Nero for a coffee, it’s only a five minute walk, and you can sit down. It’s a shame, as I used to like sitting in the station with a coffee, watching the world go by.

Got here this morning with seating not out (apparently short staffed.) Fruit shoot I had was piss warm and dilute to heck. When asked if I could put my own tables and chairs out, the lad at the till asked, and the woman running the show said no. I'll go to Nero in future. Absolutely rubbish service.

They didn't serve coz they don't have ice at 2pm when they close at 5pm wasn't they moody!

Got an iced latte and scanned my card to go the 50p promotion. The guy serving me was very friendly but what seemed to be his manager was very rude. She started repeatedly shout at me for scanning my card too early. The latte wasn't even as nice as it normally is from Costa. Put me off going to that one again.

Bought a medium hot chocolate today and was given half a cup not a full cup.

5 stars for hygiene, and cleaning - polite helpful staff, tables cleaned and cleared straight after someone has left the table - track & trace reminder from staff via scanning of "Q" code at till - was able to complete this.....

Got served by a small boy on saturday, he had short hair and he made me the best coffee ever!!!! never before have i drank such luxury, deserves a promotion!!!

While waiting for a friend travelling in to go see Forest, waited with a drink seemed like a good idea, service a bit slow, not really awake (try drinking your own product) and basically below average.

Went for an iced latte,,, the girl serving didn't smile at all,, and then they forgot to put the caramel sauce in so I had to walk all the way back will not buy from there again! I work with the public and always have a smile for each and everyone of my customer,,,

Its a captive marker thing, we a re here you need a drink you must buy, doesn't work on me and wont again, very poor, staff have no clue they are in a train station and people are in a hurry but that doesn't excuse being poor service.

Bought a hot chocolate but it didn't taste nearly as chocolaty as it usually does in any other Costa Coffee. I was very disappointed. The two cloths used for wiping the machines were dirty. I know people are supposed to bin their own litter, but people being human often don't so I had to clear the table first, yet the person serving didn't seem very busy.

Two women making the drinks were giggling like school girls despite being a lot older and were loudly and openly laughing about the waiting customers and the drinks the customers were ordering. They also made a number of derogatory personal comments about customers in full ear shot of the customers in question. My experience on this visit wasn’t a one off either. There are plenty of good coffee places in and around the station where you’d get better coffee and much better service. I’d give zero if I could. Dreadful.

The Costa outlet at Nottingham railway station is basically just a kiosk which was fine as I was after a coffee to take away to consume on a train rather than to "drink in". The guys working there were friendly and the service was quicker than I've been used to at other railway station coffee outlets which is just what you want if you want to get to a platform in time to catch your train.

About as much effort goes in to making your coffee as tying a pair of shoe laces!! I timed the shot, nowhere near the right timing for a decent extraction and in relation to the milk, I'm not sure the term microfoam is something they've heard of!. They do, however, appear very good at creating bubbly milk foam, or should I say the machine does as no effort is put in to actually texturing the milk by the staff - I won't call them Barista's as that is an insult to Barista's!
