Después de no haber visitado el Ángel, por casi 10 años, estaba preocupado de que no sería el mismo. Pasamos la mayoría de nuestro tiempo allí, y hacía grandes recuerdos, todos esos años. Sin embargo, parece que el viejo Angel creció justo a tiempo para convertirse en nuestro lugar favorito, todo nuevo!

Visited early evening after the cinema. Great choice of beers and wine. Good atmosphere for early evening drink.

Due to reopen later in 2016. The angel is currently closed for a total transformation both inside and out. Rumour has it that the pubs legendry status as Nottingham only metal pub may be over...let's wait and see.

Legendry rock pub in central notts...a must visit for any proper UK punk/rock/metal historian!

Been here before with different cook, standards seem to have slipped sadly, only 2 eating yet waited ages for a burger, that looked like youd make at home, nothing special but £7 for it.. Probably wont eat here again.

Bit too cliquey for me I'm afraid, prefer quirky bars so was disappointed as it's been a good 20 years since i went in the angel. Sadly too old to enjoy it now.

Bin a este pub para comer la mayoría de veces que visitar nottingham . últimas semanas pero después visita no volveré .!!!!! ... visitada por último martes día tiempo con nuestra hija. Nos dijeron que la ONU cortésmente por una señora en la mano derecha que en la planta de arriba estaba cerrado, que es en donde nos suelen sentarse, que no era un problema fue la señora del bar nos hizo sentir tan incómodas. Estoy seguro que he oído algunas una llamada ella Michelle . .. .. .. .. Nos estaba tratando de pedir su pregunta 4.49 la posición más pequeña, pero ella no estaba interesado . Pedimos al final y aún así nos sentimos muy incómodos. Finamente nuestra comida llegó . Nuestra comida era casi frío . No le gusta quejarme ya que estaba tan asustada de Michelle . Cuando llegó a recoger nuestro platos , que ni siquiera hablaba, así que me temo que decir que bueno viejo amable (no) Michelle ha perdido un cliente x tan pat en la parte de atrás para ella top empleador

No creo que la gestión le importa me diciendo que es un asador y un pub aserrín, y mucho mejor por ella. Si buscas un Wetherspoons aspecto-a-como en otros lugares.

Compramos 2 vales para comidas gourmet 2 platos para dos personas en Jareds en el Old Angel y fuimos el sábado por la noche con mi mujer, mi hija y yerno. Al entrar me estaba llena de disgusto en el estado del lugar. Cada asiento estaba desgarrado, la decoración era la tattiest que he visto y el lugar apestaba a humo de cigarrillo. No tienes sábado en cualquier lugar, realmente era increíble. que se volteó y la izquierda tan rápidamente como podíamos.

Solía ser un buen pub 6-7 años, pero no volveré otra vez si alguien me pagases!

It has the vibes of an old, urban landmark. I encountered an authentic, but pleasant enough interior, populated by an array of friendly characters of all types, hard music, and a bar adorned cleverly with latest news headlines. Service was really nice. Overall, a somewhat shrill experience, but likable. I think I'll be back there.

Cool little rock pub good place to start a night out or to go for a cheeky afternoon drink with friends.

From the outside, a tired, worn down place. When you get inside, culture shock as there's not a lot to indicate externally this Rock / Punk? themed boozer. Fairly quiet when I went in, early afternoon, looked to be mainly students in. Does karaoke and not surprisingly Bands, accent on the Rock side, heavy metal it seemed to me from the multitude of posters, especially all over the ceiling which is different. Usual crap toilets ( no pun intended ). It's obviously for the young'uns but the place has a good atmosphere, I didn't feel out of place and the barman was friendly enough. Nothing wrong with being different, better than a homogenised series f style pubs which is hat we'd end up with if the corporate people had their way. Couple of real ales, well kept. Worth a look in. The food is supposed to be good, but I cannot directly comment.

Another interesting pub that is located a bit further out from the centre and maybe not one you might consider visiting, particularly if you're a sensitive soul. This is unashamedly a rock pub with posters and fliers around the walls (and ceiling). There are several real ales on offer, but don't expect much in the way of wine for the ladies! If you're lucky there may be some of those small, individual serving bottles knocking about, but don't rely on it. It's probably a loud and crowded venue at night, but we have found that on both our visits (Saturday and Sunday afternoon) it was quiet, with plenty of room for a group of us to spread out and enjoy a couple of drinks. Don't be put off by the rock memorabilia, the tattoos and metal-ware - if you appreciate good ale the natives are quite friendly.

A place to hang out and have a couple of pints. This is the place where you go and listen to music, with an emphasis in punk. The décor is quite simple and based on gigs flyers and posters. Seems it had better days in the past but still a nice place

Used to be a good hangout for a cheap drink and a good gig, now it provides neither.There is a place for pubs like this with 'character' but character isn't an excuse for serving flat, expensive pints.Living off a reputation it doesn't deserve.

the delights of hockley led us to the old angel just tucked away up a side street we heard some rocking beats flowing down the street we made are we in to find a helpfull bar maid who gave the low down on the ales and beers good prices good music be bk again soon

It's not a restaurant! But it's keeping touring muscians on the circuit. Support them for that!!Not a place for high heels and loadsa make up.

I've been a patron of the Angel since I was 18 and it has outlasted all the other places I used to go drinking in those days. I think because it stays true to its core patrons. We don't need fancy toilets (for fancy, read toilets with seats and sinks!) just somewhere where we can listen to the music we love without townie idiots jeering over the top of it, or coming in to gawp at goths and punks and complain that the pool table isn't level. (It isn't level. It's never been level, Live with it.) A fantastic intimate venue for live music, a brilliant jukebox, and a high tolerance for crazy old men who scream at the bar staff until they play Chuck Berry, the Angel will always hold a fond place in my heart.

went to the old angel inn to be comfronted with a very hostile barman, who didnt put the spirt in my drink when I mentioned this , got very aggressive and argumentative, but we didnt argue just paid for the drinks and left, hardly a friendly service infact it was an intimadating experience and wouldnt recommend.

Nice atmosphere for a drink and a great burger, and if you like your rock music there is a great selection on the juke box
