The Cake Solution in Nottingham

Ordered birthday cake week before birthday , twice said not ordered , when rang about some details . Had to quickly make same day as birthday . Badly run , staff unfriendly , Spent £80 but wouldn't give me the £5 discount as said incorrect email !!!

Visited today Tuesday 14th Jan 2025. plenty of free parking nearby. Got a seat ok. A nice well priced menu. Order and pay at counter and order delivered to table. the coffee was very nice and the toast with marmalade was ok. very friendly service

Went in for breakfast , 2 people . Had a coffee, tea and 2 bacon and egg muffins. VERY small muffins. Would not have fed a child Disappointing! Will not return

Friendly staff, nice ambience and, of course, delicious cake but oh dear, such small portions! I've been visiting every 2-3 months for the past 18 months and am very disappointed in the gradual reduction in the size of the cake slices. Given that the prices have also gone up over the same period, I would say that value for money is now only about 85% of what it used to be. Such a shame.

Well presented cake shop, with nice indoor & outdoor tables. Not sure about low stars reviews, we certainly had a good service!

I went in to the shop today to buy a slice of cake, as I was leaving, I tripped and dropped the cake. The lid wasn't on properly so it fell onto the floor. Instead of the staff asking if I was okay, or making a joke of it. The first thing they said was WE CAN'T SWAP IT. I said I didn't ask to swap it, I was just going to buy another one. They were so rude and made me never want to go to this chain every again. The two ladies working there need basic training in customer service and how to talk to people.

I pre-ordered a celebration cake - the rainbow one. It was absolutely delicious! The price was good too, the recipient was very pleased. Very easy to order and was ready at my allotted collection time.

Unhelpful and Rude woman behind counter I went in to get at coffee at 16.30 after keeping me waiting for about 5mins she decided to serve me and when I asked for an Americano she said we stopped serving hot drinks tough luck. I’m unlikely to return in a hurry

Went here today, expecting the new Covid rules to be operating. NO, they weren't. Various people came in, not wearing a mask. Staff not wearing masks. One person behind the counter wearing a face shield. No table service. Ordering at the counter only, and then the server put the food and drinks (cardboard cups, plastic cutlery in a packet, cheesecake in a plastic container) on the counter, without saying anything to us! We sat there unaware that our order was just sitting there until a customer at the next table pointed it out! One of the staff came round and wiped a table - with a grubby cloth! Miserable, uncommunicative server, no"Please" or "Thank you" from the one who served me twice.
