– Cup Recycling: A Noble Effort, But at What Cost? I appreciate the idea of recycling my cup—truly, I do. But the emotional turmoil I endured during the process was all too much. First, I approached the bin, only to be faced with three different holes labeled with symbols that might as well have been ancient runes. Do I put the lid in with the cup? What about the sleeve? I hesitated, staring into the abyss. People behind me sighed. A child pointed and laughed. Flustered, I panicked and shoved everything into one slot, only to hear a judgmental clunk. A barista appeared out of nowhere, shaking their head in disappointment. I had failed. The guilt lingers. I wake up at night, haunted by the sound of incorrectly recycled cardboard.

Great place! The staff were pretty friendly and the food/drinks were delicious. The building itself looked nice too, with lots of seating and space for people.

it was very bad experience beacuse i did not recieved my order, but the delivery driver gone without any call or notice.

Monday night , Toon on TV, great steak , lovely Guinness, great service ..... and an NUFC win 🙂

We ordered The Smoke Pit with Uber Eats 4 days beforehand. On the day, (14/2) after receiving confirmation all was well, half an hour before delivery was due, Uber cancelled the order. Fortunately I rang The Smoke Pit, and they said Uber does cancel sometimes. When I asked the gentlemen if there was anything they could do, he informed me they could still do the order and to pick it up in 20 mins!! Amazing service from the gentleman, and lady, who apologised when I picked the meal up, despite it not being their fault! Food was amazing as usual and thank you so much for great customer service. 5 stars from me!

I was ordering often from them. But unfortunately this was last time. Taste and spice was good, but size? wow. Strips was decreased around 60% from last time and look's like small portion for kid. 5 chicken bites for 7£ ? You can think it's a little bigger piece of chicken. Nope. It's size or even smaller than KFC bites and without any sauce for it.

Save yourself a visit! We went there for a quick lunch.. they had no chicken! No fried chicken! No grilled chicken or rice either! No chicken burger in stock too. Food was ridiculous! There was no meat in the wings and no cutlery. Tables were dirty, and even though we asked for it to be cleaned, no one came to clean. The service is awful. There were 2 men visible behind the tills, and both were taking their sweet time taking orders and working. They kept getting our order wrong. The atmosphere in the restaurant was a filth.

An update. Wide range of low and alcohol free drinks now available - including Guinness Zero. Also much improved food offer with a wider choice. One of the best real ale pubs in the area.

Popped in for a code and snack - but decide against the snack as £7.95 for a small piece of cheesecake - whilst appreciating we all need to make a profit - this a restaurant prices!!!! Interrogation about using the toilets and glass of water that was like warm!!!! Very disappointing!!!!

Called in on Sat evening for take away. Ordered 3 chicken tikka with naans and 2 chips. The tikka was very very spicy and salty - too much. The chips were soggy and barely cooked. The naan (cooked onsite) were so dry and crumbly. Will not be returning here. Not recommended.

I ate here a few times while staying at the ajoining hotel — it’s clean and well laid out but options for anyone with dietary requirements are extremely limited and weren’t particularly appealing.

Amazing pub.amazing staff but only one problem that Ann new barstaff. Small with black hair. Nothing but trouble. Saturday she kept ignoring me when I wanted a drink or asked for change for the pool table. She used to work at jekly and hyde but was sacked from there due to her lies.and trouble. Now she brings it to a new place. Not very professional. She needs to get over herself she gets paid to serve customers so she should be professional and do it. The manager is a amazing and lovely lady I hope under the circumstances I can change my review and get the service I am paying for. But other then that thanks for the night well worth going.

Great selection. The food is amazing.

I only popped in for a coffee this evening, but while I was there the staff were nothing short of welcoming, polite and friendly, and I get the same service every single time. Pizza Express has pretty much become my local coffee spot haha! (Though I do pop in for food too, it's delicious) Thank you for being awesome and keep on doing so, you're all doing an amazing job! ^^ Edit: 5/4/2025 all I can really do is edit the review 😂 but had met Dimitar today, lovely gentleman, so patient with me and my littlun, wonderful service and always a pleasure eating in restaurant. Also tried the Pollo Italiano special today, I'm going to have to order that again.... Thank you guys for continuing to be awesome 😎

Love their chocolate filled churros,maybe a little too much, great chicken bites and excellent pizzas
