I ate here a few times while staying at the ajoining hotel — it’s clean and well laid out but options for anyone with dietary requirements are extremely limited and weren’t particularly appealing.

Food is fantastic and looked after perfectly well. Meals are a wee bit pricey but worth it. Breakfast had a brilliant selection of food to choose from.

Following a series of visits to other Northampton town centre restaurants, we decided to give The Park Inn a try after many years absence. The choice of food was extensive and, while wine list more limited, it was reasonably priced. Staff, especially Jenny from the local university, was on the button from the word GO. Environment was intimate and despite large group of conventioners, peaceful and enjoyable. We will return soon.

In May we stayed at this hotel. Before we went the hotel was provided with my medical diet sheet. Unfortunately on two occasions I was given food that had the food that was on my ‘ no ‘ list. The first night the food was ok. The second night I had onions in the dish I ordered , unfortunately I didn’t see them until I had eaten some. I asked what was iin my dish and was told it was onions. This was on my ‘ no ‘ list on the sheet that they were provided with. I was quite ill that night. I told the manager the next morning I just got that they were very sorry. That evening I was given a dish which had two items which were also on my no list.Fortunately I saw the items and asked what they were. This dish was taken from me. The next night I had ordered a pork dish but was given a gammon dish which had been over cooked and was inedible. I was not offered an alternative dish to replace this. I asked each day for sweet potatoes for breakfast. I only received them twice. I asked a member of the staff one morning for the gluten free cereal, toast and a poached egg. I waited over half an hour and nothing arrived so decided to ask another member of staff. At last I received the items. I never got an apology from the Chef for the food that made me ill or any of the other errors. We couldn’t have given them anything else to make it easy for them to provide food that was tailored for me. I asked for the overall Manager to phone me at home when they were back in work. This didn’t happen, so I decided to phone them. After explaining everything, all I was told they were very sorry! The whole experience spoiled our time away. Not to mention being ill with something that should not have been in my food. Why do Chefs not realise that medical diets are not fad diets . After this experience we will not be back.

Fairly extensive menu and the quality of food prepared was good. The BUT is that it is overpriced for what you get. Wine list also restricted and again on th pricey side. We could not get the wine we wanted and ended up with the house wine - a cheap Spanish plonk. Nice enough but I would not look to buy it again. It is an easy option to eat in here if you are resident.

Good food but not much choice. Quite large meals, mainly over £12, not much choice for smaller lunch time meals but good for an evening meal. Staff were lovely and welcoming, however quite slow and not amazingly attentive. Evening staff were much better than day staff, being very attentive and quick.

Dinner is quite a limited range from the RBG standard menu. Portions are quite modest but expect to pay top prices. The lamb rump was just OK, plenty of mass but hunt the lamb! My partner had the ribs and chicken wings, they were very happy except the dish did not come with the advertised sides. Service was pleasant but a lack of attention to detail was evident.

We came in a bit late, but the restaurant was open until 9:30 and we had a nice dinner with a really good Spanish wine. The menu was burgers and sandwiches, but they were nicely prepared with really good onien rings.

You have used the incorrect address for the "Open Kitchen" for my last review " We can't stay away" This restaurant was called Zest and has now changed its name. It should not be confused with the restaurant of the same name in Mapplewell. The Open Kitchen I reviewed is based in Barnsley College. Thank you

I can't fault the staff at this restaurant, they were always polite and attentive, the food comes out quickly and there was a pretty good variety and it was all decent quality. Drinks are a bit pricey, but you will get that in this sort of hotel.

Ресторан отличный: обслуживание, кухня, персонал. Единственный минус - цены (вполне себе московские). Находится ресторан в отеле Парк ин на первом этаже.

While waiting for someone at a function here I decided to try the food, ordered Prawn Cocktail and the RBG special Lamb Dish with sweet potato and sugar snap peas. Starter The prawn cocktail arrived in a very small cocktail glass and the smallest little pieces of bread and the sauce was out of a jar, the prawns were budget quality and the glass had a disproportionate amount of lettuce to stingy prawn portion. On that basis very overpriced. Main Course When the lamb arrived I thought the sweet potato and veg would arrive separately as the plate was so bare but I was wrong. A minuscule amount of sweet potato was hiding under the so called lamb (mutton would be a more accurate description ) and what I thought was just garnish were the carefully placed 8 or 9 small sugar snap peas. Most of the mutton (Lamb?) that could not be chewed due to toughness was spat out onto the plate. In case you are wondering I am not a huge eater, I carry no extra weight weighing in at 70 kg or 11 stone and am in my 50's so need less than I used to. Thankfully there is a Subway within a hundred yards of the hotel where I went to top up with a 6 inch sub. Overall feeling ripped off, when I spend around £25 for some dinner I at least expect not to still be hungry afterwards. Incidentally the half pint of beer I had was served in an undersized glass contravening UK Weights & Measures act 1985. If I ever visit Northampton again I will not go anywhere near this hotel I advise against eating here.

Awful dirty place with the same kind of clients. Would highly recommend people take a wide berth. The place needs stripping and starting again with new staff also. Food was terrible, cold if available.
