Pizza Express in Northampton

Order not delivered. Driver called and had incorrect address, pizza express said to contact just eat-no contact details for them!! Ordered at 6.50 & at 8.50pm driver called & had wrong address! No help and no food…very unhappy -ZERO STARS

Would have been nice to have tthe right pizza

All the ingredients were stuck to the box and it was just the base left. Very poor delivery, seemed like he dropped them

First time ordering from pizza express and although the food was nice the time it took was way too long it kept changing and going up and up. We have young children waiting, such a shame as I had high hopes.

Food was not delivered even though it was marked as delivered. Tried to contact customer service and was told that it was delivered to a “safe place” and that the driver tried to make contact several times. Neither of these were true and JustEat are refusing to provide any evidence of the alleged contact or proof of delivery. Now I am left out of pocket without even and acknowledgement from customer service (or lack of). Shocking service and will not be using the platform again.

Just received our food. So disappointed. For the amount we paid even with the discount, the meatball pasta bolognese was burned on the top, macaroni was tasteless and pizza was definitely not size stated.

Absolutely dreadful £45 for cold, uncooked pizza

Shocking!!!! Delivery driver basically drove round Northampton before putting our food over the boundary fence near my house saying ‘it’s not my fault’. Coke boiling, all the food cold and all the boxes damaged. 0/10!!!!

Excellent customer service I had in the Northampton Derngate location with food quality 100% tasteful. Now I am addicted to Pizza Express Pizza only much.

1st order was never actually received by Pizza Express despite it saying it was. It was only when I called Pizza Express direct they said it had not been received so I had to be cancel and re-order. The 2nd order seemed to take for ages to actually be ready for delivery and it seemed the driver was on his way, lost location and then was no where near my house. Then back online. It was delivered eventually but not hot. Very disappointing.

Our only criticism is the le reine pizza only had 6 olives on it and my GF base was slightly undercooked. The GF dough balls and GF chicken wings were 10/10!!!!

We were a big group and the staff were amazing, very helpful. The food was very tasty.

Ordered a vegan pizza and it came without the vegan cheese. So all that showed up was bread and onions. If I was told they ran out of the vegan cheese I would’ve ordered something else

Rude and Racist Staff at Pizza Express I am appalled by the treatment we received at Pizza Express. The staff told us to “wait outside and don’t come in until we say so,” and their dismissive attitude only worsened once we were seated. It was clear they treated us differently from other customers, and it felt like outright racism. They ignored us, acted annoyed at any request, and made us feel completely unwelcome. I am disgusted by this experience and will never return. Avoid this place if you expect respect and fair treatment.

Pizza didnt have any sauce in it, for double pepperami pizza it had very few on it, pizza doah was tough, and not even cut into slices we had to pull it apart, petty much the same with the build your own

Always loved the pizzas from them the toppings are yummy and you get more of choice than other pizza takeaways.

We had yet another delicious pizza cooked by Ryan at Pizza Express Northampton. Camelia provided great service, attentive and friendly and her suggestion of Tiramisu for pudding was pefect. It's a great place to grab great food right by the theatre and film house.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to Pizza Express Northampton, they managed to fit me and my family in for dinner last night when they seemed to be busy!

was a bit cold when it got here

As a regular user of Pizza Express in several towns I know pretty much how it all works as far as service and quality go. Northampton is no different, we'd booked our table online and on arrival were shown to our table and our drinks order was taken. We ordered food shortly afterwards and it soon came out, well presented and piping hot just as we'd come to expect at other outlets. Staff were very pleasant and super quick getting a second round of drinks etc. And as a footnote I'd like to say that as a Blue Light card holder, you never have to tell them you'll be claiming a discount until you pay, so no reduced portion sizes just because you're not paying the published price. Excellent all round and I certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a decent quick meal when in the area,

Amazing food, service and location

Bland, over priced. A slither of cake for £7 is a joke. The sauce pot was tiny and came half filled. Potato chips were half cooked. Really dropped in quality and over priced in that regard. Disappointing.

I never got the food and app says delivered???. order was initially for 5pm delivered and 2 hours late and then says delivered yet not delivered ???

Pizza and Bruschetta arrived completely cold by delivery guy on bike. Need to reheat everything, and that's changeythe taste of foos.Bruschetta was completely messed insided. I'm not ordering fresh pizza to eat it like from next day.

ordered mac and cheese off just eat, craftily changed order to being prepared so i still had to be charged nearly 20 quid out of pocket, even though i had been called personally by the restraunt to be told they had no mac and cheese (never said that on the website) will be taking legal action...

I originally placed my order at 7:30pm, Just Eat originally gave an expected delivery time between 8:15-8:35. This was pushed back 5 minutes at a time until it said 9pm! I tried numerous times to call the restaurant, to no avail as either they had an issue with their phone line or the staff were pretending they couldn’t hear me! When eventually arrived, the driver said he had been waiting for 45 minutes at the restaurant as they only begun cooking when he arrived! NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!

food was barely warm when it arrived...cold soggy pizza not ideal and lately it seems that all orders with pizza express are not warm enough..😕

We had our intimate wedding reception at Pizza Express and can't thank the staff enough for helping make our day so special. The food, as always, was fabulous and the service couldn't have been better...everyone was very friendly and professional. A big thank you to Jack and Tiana who helped us set this up and were our lovely servers on the day. We were given the upstairs space to ourselves and allowed to decorate as much as we liked which just added to the atmosphere of our day. Thank you again!!

Delicious pizza with excellent service

Pizza didn’t taste cooked & crusty was far too chewy. The potato salad seemed frozen. Haven’t tried the other two items yet.

The food was overcooked and cold. The courier didn't bother to ring me when he arrived after he didn't see me and just waited 13 minutes for my food to go cold. Shocking service.

If you want two thin small pizzas, a pasta, two soft drinks, small garlic bread and dough balls for £70. This is the place.

The meal was fine, if overpriced for what you get, and the service was almost good. I was pushed into downloading an app for some free dough balls - which didn’t seem to want to work but the waitress bought me some anyway - delightful. Great service? I tried a few more times to get the app to work but without success - it wouldn’t accept the verification code it’d sent me - but I couldn’t really ignore my girlfriend’s mother, who was taking me out to dinner. The waitress reassured me that other diners were struggling with the app. To my shock, when presented with the bill, the waitress announced that I’d be paying for the dough balls (at £5.75) as I hadn’t downloaded the app… I wasn’t given a warning or any help. Sure, this is the spirit of the rules - but appalling service. I won’t ever return, and wouldn’t suggest anyone else to go, until they learn what customer service is.

Great spot for dinner before our visit to the Derngate. Speedy and friendly service, food was standard Pizza Express tasty. We booked our table for 6pm, it was quite busy with theatre goers.

Extremely poor service. Lack of concern, lack of communication. I ordered a pizza through them and they didn’t deliver it, denied all responsibility and made minimal attempt to fix the situation they caused. Very poor management.

Service was a bit indifferent. We were at a tiny table, but the server never offered to clear away the empty bottles and glasses, and seemed to feel like it was an imposition when I asked him to, although they weren't busy. Their vegan mozzarella is very mayonnaise-like, so I'd give the vegan garlic bread (which is slathered in it) a pass next time. Pizza and dough balls were good.

Staff were amazing and made our friends birthday meal the perfect experience. Not only was the food made with high quality care, but staff were on point with fast speed of service and when bringing out the cake they joined in with wishing our friend a happy birthday. Atmosphere was perfect night out/meal vibes and I just can’t recommend enough!

Lovely pizza let down by being delivered stone cold, and a 75p dip that was literally a teaspoon in a pot 10x the size. If you ran out of dip, give me another. And have a word with the delivery driver, was he waving it around out the window for it to arrive so cold?

Possibly the worst experience of food eaten out in my life, and I have dined out a lot all over the world. I cannot fault the staff, they were brilliant, but the food was just awful!! and completely overpriced, after all its just pizza, dough balls and garlic bread!! The large over priced pizza is just a stretched out classic at twice the price, twice as brittle and same amount of toppings (we checked!), also no CHEESE! Dough balls and bread were just mushy flour and water with essence of garlic...don't start me on the mushrooms, or shall I say, balsamic with a very few over stewed fungi, how can you get this so wrong? First and last visit, never going back, Dominos all the way!

Took forever to deliver my food. Man kept driving round my building. I went outside to call him and had to follow him all the way down the street to get food and by that point my food was cold. Why have my number on the delivery if you are not going to call it when you get lost?

It was my daughter’s birthday and a busy night although we wanted to come in earlier we couldn’t. Upon arrival we were sat down as requested on two separate tables (me on my own) and my daughter with her friends. Food was lovely and all the staff were so nice to my daughter and her friends as well as accommodating as we brought in a cake. That was dealt with no fuss. Made our night very nice indeed. Yozen was absolutely amazing, lovely and such a brilliant host. Thanks 🙏🏾

1 hour 15mins late, called the restaurant and the person who answered the phone was very rude. The order was cold and poor quality

Ordered on uber eats. Pizza took 45 mins for preparation. No explanation. Pizza mustve sat there getting cold for 20 mins. Uber driver finally picked it up. Driver did not answer any of my messages. Handover was terrible. Pizza uncut. (Basics in serving pizza!! Like comeon!!!!! ) Pizza Late. Pizza Cold. Ended up having a packet of crisps. This particular branch has terrible reviews! Not sure whats going on!!!?? Requesting refund in 24 hours.

Popped in for a coffee and dessert, and I'm typically really fussy with sweet stuff (just particular tastes), but Henriette (waitress) was really patient and accommodating with meeting my needs to ensure I was comfortable and happy and ensured I received exactly what was ordered, thank you! I'll be popping by more often 😁

the food was absolutely delicious. i saw all these reviews about cold food, the food was as warm as you can expect from such a thin pizza, delivere. yes, it'd be warmer if you went to ro the restaurant, but you can't expect more from a delivery. it was not cut, the other complaint i commonly saw, that one is true, but hey, you can all deal with that (just make it your own canzone otherwise). delicious food, and i didn't even try the desserts yet, waiting for me in the fridge for a happy new year

Recently had our daughters 7th Birthday held at Pizza Express, Northampton. We booked months in advance ensuring all would be as we requested. A change of management didn't help as it would seem that what we were told originally was not how Pizza Express operate with kids party.The night before the party I dropped off the Helium Balloons before they closed as it was going to be difficult to get them to the venue in the day time being the centre of town. I had to move the tables around so it looked the way we had originally asked for which was rather frustrating. I then met Claire who assured me that the following day would run smooth and that it did which was solely down to her. She was excellent and very attentive!! A real credit to the Northampton branch and she did not let us down. Thankfully Claire was there as it may well not have gone to plan if she hadn't been.

I made a £45 order that didn't arrive. I called the restaurant (Northampton) to see where our order was as the app stated that the courier was at the restaurant for over 30 minutes. I was told the delivery person bag was not big enough to fit in our pizzas, so he left them at the restaurant. I asked them to remake our pizza’s as I did not want to pay £45 for stone cold pizzas. Your manager said no, they have made them once, they are not making them again. Every time I tried to put across my complaint she just kept speaking over me and repeating “it’s not our fault, there is nothing I can do”. It is your responsibility to send out hot food. I am shocked by her rudeness and unwillingness to allow me to speak. Someone in the background just told her to put the phone down, which is what she did. In a cost of living crisis this food was meant to be a treat. It later turned up stone cold and burnt. I am so angry about the customer service we received. It’s so unfair. What a waste of money, and a ruined evening by how I have been left by someone you call a manger of your store

Despite it being a busy Saturday before Christmas, the food was excellent. Didn't have to wait too long either.

Ordered at 17:44 for 18:45 delivery. Arrived at 19:20 and was lukewarm at best.

Absolutely shocking first time the pizzas are as thin as a sheet of cardboard hardly any cheese on the pizza, you have to cut your own pizza which got very messy. Pizza was tiny and what a hassle you’ve got to sit down Wait for someone to come over so you can order then another wait for your food then leaving is just as much hassle you have to wait for somebody to come over with your bill, then wait again for someone to come over to pay

We have visited pizza express in Northampton for many years and it really is one of our favourite places to eat. The atmosphere is great and the staff are always very attentive! We are often served by Chelsey who goes over and above, remembers everything, she really is a lovely person. All the other staff are also friendly and welcoming including the chefs and kitchen team too. We love visiting…. A family friendly place to eat.

Food, service, and atmosphere are all excellent! I highly recommend you visit this place, the food is to die for! 😁

Not the best food and expensive for what you get

Food is always just mediocre. I find the children's meals come out boiling hot, and adult meals are just luke warm. Every time I go to pizza express, to any branch, the wait staff really don't appreciate children and my kids are well behaved. The food portions are quite small for kids, not worth the money. Every time I go with a "love 2 shop" voucher it takes over half an hour for my bill to get paid. If the staff aren't trained as to how to use vouchers then pizza express should stop teaming up with voucher companies, or at least inform their staff about their offers and deals. Overall, an unpleasant experience.

This pizza looks nothing like the picture used to advertise. It looks like a child made it and has half the toppings advertised.
