Popped in for a code and snack - but decide against the snack as £7.95 for a small piece of cheesecake - whilst appreciating we all need to make a profit - this a restaurant prices!!!! Interrogation about using the toilets and glass of water that was like warm!!!! Very disappointing!!!!

A modern, clean and tidy cafe in town. There are many cafe’s in the town and many are offering different types of foods - this is reasonable and modern in its approach

We’ve been going to Esquires on the odd occasion when in town for about a year. In the early days it was the best place for a drink, brunch or lunch. More recently I’m afraid it seems to have gone downhill. I’ve had occasions where I’ve had to ask for a table to be cleaned, I’ve had to chase food or drinks that haven’t arrived, I’ve quietly mentioned to a member of staff that the bathroom looks like it hasn’t been cleaned for a while and in our most recent visit, there was an eyelash in my food. Such a shame. I really hope they read some of the recent reviews and up their game. In the meantime, I think I’ll be going elsewhere.

First time to Northampton and went in for a spot of brunch for four. The table needed cleaning and we had to ask twice for it to be wiped over. We ordered 3 lots of hot drink and 1 cold drink. They arrived quite quickly. For our brunch we ordered 2 lots of Eggs Royale, a tuna melt, and a ham and cheese toastie. We waited a long time for the food. When the Eggs Royale arrived (Two eggs, cured smoked salmon, baby spinach & hollandaise sauce on toasted muffin), the muffin, eggs and hollandaise sauce were cold, on both dishes. How long do you have a leave an egg for it to go cold! We complained and they arranged for new dishes to arrive. We also asked where the other orders were. The other orders arrived. The tuna melt was hot. There was an issue with the ham and cheese toastie though. It had been toasted and them spread with whole grain mustard and then topped with cheese before being grilled. There was NO mention of mustard being used in the dish on the menu. The person didn't have allergies to mustard, but doesn't really enjoy it, and certainly not the whole grain type. This place needs to up their game. Remove items from the menu if you can't provide them hot. Make sure that tables are cleared and cleaned as soon as people leave. MUST add allergen information, or a full description of what's in each dish. Very poor.

For about £30 on breakfast coffee and water I received something worse than from a trailer , in fact I regret not going on a trailer on the street and eat there , deceiving photos of food like a mile away .. cappuccino was good but that’s it . Terrible , avoid

My breakfast was cold… beans, mushrooms, tomatoes… stone cold…. Eggs bland. Toast cold and not enough butter. Tasteless tbh. Hottest thing was the one sausage on the plate. £10.95 - surely we should get 2 sausages ! My partners coffee was cold. A real shame.

Disappointing breakfast. For him: cold beans; cold toast; stingy lame bit of butter; overcooked and insipid eggs; bland mushroom; tiny hash browns; sausage acceptable at best… A cold flat white and dry toast for me… When you spend £21 and it’d have tasted better at home, something’s not quite right, is it? Save your Ps and go to Greggs!!!

Right up my street in a lovely setting I visited here for a family breakfast food was delicious and absolutely loved the drinks available. Will be here again with my friends the cosy seats were lovely he icing on the cake WILL BE BACK EVEN for a delicious vanilla matcha.

I came here on Saturday with my daughter whilst attending a Uni open day. Just nipped in for a bite to eat in between talks, I’m SO glad I did! I ordered the salmon and avacado salad and I honestly think this was the BEST salad I’ve ever eaten in my entire life. I kinda want my daughter to attend the uni here now just so I can go back there 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Had a business meeting in Northampton. Met clients for a coffee so decided to try this place. Restaurant have a lovely ambiance about it and food/drinks are of high quality. Highly recommend it.

Great environment to study in with a good selection in menu. The cafe is in the centre of town and easily accessible for a nice lunch.

Under staffed for a start. Food not good, drinks came after we prompted them and after we'd finished eating. No apology. I think the front of house staff were the same ones cooking the food. It'll never survive.

None of the food was good (which is hard to do for an English breakfast), even the hash browns. Coffee tasted like water. Really expensive too.

My Mums Porridge was terrible . Slices of banana included were solid as a rock . My Mums friend ordered scrambled eggs on toast and toast and just recieved toast two big pieces no scrambled egg and mine on the menu it said turkey bacon...
