The best restaurants in North Kesteven East Midlands

This place used to be excellent. Not any more and shopped there for the last time. The past twice I have been the chips have been awful and last time the batter on the sausages was obviously overcooked or reheated. The atmosphere is the shop is awful with whom I presume to be manager cooking at the back screaming at his employee. All the decent staff seem to have vanished and just appears to be two of them working now. Its an embarrassment and staff member constantly being belittled in front of customers who don't know where to look. Constant begging on Facebook as to how they can improve and they want to know what customers want...well a better non toxic atmosphere, fresh food cooked to order and bigger portions back as they were...a management course on how to treat your employees wouldn't go a miss either!

We visited this restaurant on 7th September to celebrate our 61st Wedding anniversary, we have been before and everything has always been fantastic, however on this occasion we were very disappointed, the food was hardly warm when it came, and because there were no dish warmers the food quickly got cold. The food itself was as always delicious but very cold. We did point this out to a member of staff who gave us 10% discount, which under the circumstances was in our opinion a bit paltry. The two members of staff were very nicely dressed in Thai dresses but the whole effect was spoilt by the wearing of socks and plimsole/trainers. It may be some time before we go again.

This has changed hands recently and it’s brilliant. We went in for breakfast and it was delicious and so different from the big standard. Cant wait to come for cocktails!

After ordering our first takeaway last week, we decided to dine in this evening. The service and the food was totally outstanding. If you haven't been, as like us, you may think it's a little out of the way, go. You certainly won't be disappointed

Absolutely fantastic!! 2nd time back here and it’s definitely my favourite carbonara I’ve ever tasted 😍 Staff are very friendly and polite. Can’t fault the food at all. Portion sizes are very generous! 10/10.

Great breakfast and service excellent, food good value as well. However…..£3.69 for ‘tea for two’ one cup each and one tea bag! Takes the shine off the visit completely.

First time visit and very impressed. Had lunch which was delicious, freshly cooked, hot and nicely presented. Lots to see inside and lovely healthy plants for the garden outside . Will visit again as the breakfast menus looked good 😊

Regularly order from here- food always good quality and hot even after a 20 minute drive home. Best Chinese we have tried

Great fish restaurant, we often visit when we are in Sleaford and it does not dissapont. Good food freshly cooked and great staff.

A wonderful lunch! Lovely menu with a wide choice. My husband chose Gammon Egg and Chips and I chose Beef Lasagna and chips. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunches. The beef lasagna was one of the nicest I've eaten. We had no room for dessert but the cake selection did look delicious. It's a shame we don't live closer as this cafe would be a favourite.

We had a wonderful Sunday roast beef and turkey and veg and yolkie and gravy for dessert we had apple crumble and ice cream and custard very nice good service very polite thanks from Tina and Trevor

Worth going for the staff alone so friendly we ate in the restaurant and they made our 2 boys with special needs super welcome fish and chips were fantastic cooked freash and when they say large fish they mean whale fantastic value for money we will definitely be back they are worth more than 5 stars for food and staff
