Great breakfast and service excellent, food good value as well. However…..£3.69 for ‘tea for two’ one cup each and one tea bag! Takes the shine off the visit completely.

As visitors to the area, we always use to pop in for Sunday Lunch before Covid, we raved to family and friends about the restaurant. Visited today first time for a long time, ordered Steak Pie for Sunday Lunch, not only did we have to wait over 30 mins for the order to arrive but the steak pie had changed, flaky crumbly pasty rather than the lovely solid shortcrust pastry of before. It was ok but not as enjoyable. Don’t think we will be back.

Visited today to get a take away cake, staff where more interested in clearing cardboard boxes away then serving customers, very slow service . Also it looks like a greenhouse inside the restaurant with the amount of plastic screens up. That achieves nothing when you have to queue for you food so long We used to love this place

Used to love the steak pie here, however we visited for the first time in a while and were disappointed when the pie turned up in a dish with a flimsy flakey pastry top instead of the good old shortcrust pie that we love! The meat in the dish was very tasty but more like a stew than a pie filling. The mash wasn't nice either a bit lumpy and a strange taste and colour. Not good value at almost 10.00 per person, we'll definitely be ordering something different next time. Staff here are lovely so not all bad! J

We will also travel to a garden centre not far from here where she is also welcome . Shame places like this are so dog unfriendly

This is the first time we have eaten out since lockdown and although we had to wait a little longer to get our food than before, the whole experience was very positive - tables well spaced out, all staff wearing masks, waitress service only, everything being thoroughly sanitized etc so if you are nervous about eating out I would totally recommend this lovely restaurant.

My friend visits this garden centre and café quite a lot but this was my first visit. What a lovely place. We spent several hours there. The café was lovely, we had a delicious lunch. There was plenty to choose from plus several 'Specials'. It was very reasonably priced and the service was excellent. The place was very clean and welcoming. We didn't have room for pudding so took one of their scrumptious cakes home, chocolate and raspberry. So glad I did. It was fabulous. It is so refreshing to find a cafe that bakes its own cakes on the premises. I can't wait to go again and try something else.

Drove from Lincoln to hopefully buy a birthday present for a friend which we were told by the assistant on the information desk was not available in Lincoln Branch and no idea if there would be any more available later. After walking round the store and unable to find it I asked the assistant for help. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he was able after a good search to locate what we came for. The lady on the checkout told us that they checked on stock list and found it in stock at Sleaford and also in Lincoln. Excellent service .

My husband and myself used to visit here a lot before the cafe/restaurant was bought out. The food and service were both excellent. I don’t know what has happened. The cakes and pastries don’t appear to be home made anymore, generic and no longer as tasty. We took our 20 month old grandaughter for lunch on Friday, 20 September, not a toddler friendly place, firstly no mother and baby car parking places, what would be said if we had parked in a handicapped spot I wonder. There were a few baby high chairs. Sadly they don’t fit properly at the tables. The tables are too high for the chairs, and you can’t fit them under as there is a plank of wood in the way on the table. My granddaughter was about 4 inches too low in the chair and she had to reach up to eat. When I went to order food I wanted a half baked potato with beans for her lunch but was told that wasn’t possible, I had to buy a whole large potato and then there was a 5 minute debate about what I should pay as I didn’t want all the trimmings with it. The restaurant was very poorly staffed, one poor woman trying to be allthings to all people. When my granddaughter`s meal arrived it was on a very large adult plate, with beans in a very small dish. I then had to queue again to ask fora more child friendly dish. I do feel as if mothers and grandparents of smaller children are a minority in the restaurant, no thought has gone into their needs, and it was the most unwelcoming place I have been to with my granddaughter for food.

We’ve not been here to the cafe for a while, and I don’t we’ll come back. I’ll start positive we love the garden centre, deli and butchers. This review is about the cafe only. The cafe however whilst not the worst garden centre cafe is a long way from the best. Appreciating it was early and knowing my daughter doesn’t like traditional breakfast food ( bacon sausage etc). I carefully examined the menu for what she would like and made sure to look for time when the main menu was served. It clearly stated breakfast served until 11.30 and main menu until early afternoon, no where did it state main menu is not served until a certain time, just until. With that in mind I went to place our order to be told it was breakfast menu only, I mentioned that no where did it state what time main menu started but was told no only breakfast menu. Most garden centres I’ve visited have been far more accommodating. My daughter ended up with sausage roll and cake ..... hardly breakfast menu. They need to make their menu clear. The food itself was okay at a push, I had a vegetarian breakfast the tomatoes were not cooked, however the poached egg was nice. Staff were friendly enough but I can imagine would struggle if they were busy as service was slow and not very slick. I’ll be using Ruskington garden centre cafe, for treat day in the future must wider choice and much more accommodating making you feel a valued customer

I regularly have lunch here with my parents and sometimes we meet our wider family here too. The café is always busy, as the food is always good. Their bread and butter dish is the Steak Pie, which is fabulous. The steak is lean and each portion is packed with meat. There is always a choice of a few specials, which prove popular, alongside the usual menu. The main menu hasn't changed in years and I do sometimes wish that they would rotate the dishes on it throughout the year, because for the regular clientele it becomes a bit boring after a while. That is the only negative though, as the staff are so lovely, the service is usually pretty good and they're very accommodating if you have any special dietary needs. I can highly recommend.

We've been here for lunch a few times and it's very remiss of me not to have reviewed it before now!We have always had lovely food here - piping hot, well presented and very tasty. And not small portions either.Today we decided to go out for some lunch as the weather was shocking for June - and it's been so nice up to now! - and settled on Four Seasons. And we weren't disappointed. We both had lasagne and chips and salad. The lasagne had plenty of meat in a rich gravy with green pasta layers served in a dish with creamy melted cheese and béchamel sauce on top and was delicious. The chips were nice and chunky and the salad was fresh - but mixed leaves are not to my liking but that's just a personal preference - and drizzled with a tangy dressing.I had to leave some chips as there were just too many - but that's not a criticism of the restaurant - just my tummy saying stop! The seating area is comfortable and airy and pleasant and the new part has settees and comfy seats if you want to relax. The staff are always helpful and pleasant and the chef, Paul, is doing a grand job.The garden centre has undergone renovations in the last few months and is now bigger and more modern - I bought a few very healthy small plants here a couple of months ago and they are thriving beautifully in pots in my garden. All in all, a good experience and we will be back!

Good wholesome food and very nice cakes. Very good standard for a Garden Centre, had lunch there two days in a row when in Sleaford for a couple of days!

So many garden centres are obviously out to wring every pound they can from your pocket, but this one seemed much more friendly - a lovely atmosphere. It isn't as big as some that are around, but it had all the basics and a few more besides (I bought a beautiful wicker trug which wasn't too expensive) and there are some beautiful roses, just for show and to be enjoyed, in the gardens. The tea room was busy but clean, and although we only had tea and cakes we were warmly welcomed. Nice selection of cakes too.

My friend and I came for afternoon tea on Saturday, all they ask is that you give them 24hrs notice for preparation. On arrival I told the lady my name and that I booked an afternoon tea, she pointed us in the direction of our reserved table, which was all set up ready. Then out came two stands, one with a lovely mixture of sandwiches & warm sausage rolls, mmmmm. The other had scones, cream and seedless jam, and a selection of cakes. We had a pot of tea as well.It is was delicious, my friend & I throughly enjoyed it & at £8.99 pp you cant go wrong! The staff are always polite & helpful in the restaurant, will hopefully be visiting again soon.

The reviews are correct about the butcher, very good burgers and excellent lincolnshire sausages were purchased, and later cooked on the BBQ. There was a great selection of food even at 4.45pm on Saturday. The bread from the breadshop was also excellent and the real tomato ketchup was a big hit despite crys of 'but its not heinz!'

I'm afraid I only dropped in for coffee, so not a full meal, but had to have a piece of cake when I saw the selection (bang goes the diet). I believe all the cakes are home made on the premises, and what a fabulous selection, probably the best I have ever come across in such an establishment. I had a slice of the caramel toffee cake, which was truly exquisite and worth a trip in its own right. Go there and try, as I'm sure you won't be disappointed !!

busy place , understaffed and food pretty average whilst charging premium rates in my view. Layout nice and it could be a great place for lunch but emphasis on charging the earth for an experience that doesn't match,

The restaurant at the Four Seasons is normally consistently good. However the standards are dropping. Last week I took my parents out to lunch and we ordered their favorite, steak pie chips and vegetables. The Pie and Chips were great however the carrots served with the meal were very poor, some were rotten, others were unprepared and tasteless, at best they had been dropped in the potato peeler, so that were slightly peeled, not topped and gritty. Most of them were covered in roots and the chef should be embarrassed with this level of preparation. I did mention this to staff as we left but the lady was disinterested.

Very nice garden centre. Ample parking space. Good choice of food well presented. Clean environment with pleasant staff. The down side was that we had to queue in a long line to place our order for ages. This detracted from the occasion.

Visited this Garden Centre for the first time with a friend. It was larger than l at first perceived and is a lovely place to wander around. We were assisted to find the herbs we were looking for by a very helpful young woman and found a book on herb gardens for my friend's project! The staff in the cafe were equally helpful and the freshly made cakes were dangerously tempting! There is also a meat department which l understand is held in high regard locally. I find that some garden centres have become a little too 'commercialised', Four Seasons has a lovely welcoming atmosphere. I will definitely be returning.

Attached to a garden centre, this is a very popular place, especially at the weekends (worth making a reservation for Sunday lunch). Good food, good quality, and friendly service - you order at the till, with your table number, and they deliver it when ready.

I am not one for writing reviews, but I was very impressed with the helpful staff in the restaurant today, as we all know that eating out with babies/young children is a military mission, you have to be prepared .. haha!! I was on my own with my 15 month old baby and pushchair , so I was reluctant to eat out, I am so glad I did it was great all round, the staff were helpful with getting me a high chair to the table carrying my tray to the table as I had my hands full obviously and, the food was a little pricey but worth every penny. We didn't have to wait too long for our food to arrive either which is always a bonus when you have a hungry baby. The cakes looked great but couldn't eat another mouthful so I will have to go again just to try them. So 5* are given and a happy customer too Thank you

Breakfast was nice. The service was a little frosty as was the temperature. There was a lot of people in coats and even scarves. I know heating is expensive but please turn up the thermostat a notch. This is the second time recently that I’ve been and I have been cold. 🥶 Nobody checked back on the breakfast but it was very tasty as was the coffee

Been here lots of times before but tonight the food was terrible. Ultimate mate burger it was not; extremely overcooked and after a 40 minute wait.
