A wonderful lunch! Lovely menu with a wide choice. My husband chose Gammon Egg and Chips and I chose Beef Lasagna and chips. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunches. The beef lasagna was one of the nicest I've eaten. We had no room for dessert but the cake selection did look delicious. It's a shame we don't live closer as this cafe would be a favourite.

Ruskington Garden Centre is a great place to visit. Yes, it's a typical garden centre, you know what you're getting, but in Ruskington its nice presented and just feels that little bit more welcoming. It's all there. A huge array of trees and plants, plenty of homewares to peruse and have a good old look around. The cafe is a treat as well. really good food. Cakes and coffee aplenty in a nice environment. Good prices too. Definitely recommended.

Three of us arrived at midday & were very fortunate to find a table. I have eaten here many times & realise just how popular it is so getting a table was a bonus! Today was busy & lively but with a lovely, friendly vibe. We ordered drinks & these were delivered very swiftly. Queued to order our meals which was carried out in a very friendly, efficient way & were informed that there was a 30 minute wait which was no problem as gave us a good while for a catch-up. No one minds waiting for freshly cooked food especially if you are made aware of the fact! Food arrived approximately after 30 minutes as advised & well worth the wait…two of us had Scampi, chips, salad & coleslaw & our other friend had ham, egg & chips. All beautifully presented, freshly cooked, hot & tasty also good sized portions too. Very reasonable prices too! We couldn’t manage a dessert at that point but a while later we returned for a cuppa & sweet. All three of us chose the Lemon & Passion Fruit Puddle Cake…a delicious mix of Victoria Sponge & Cheesecake topped with fresh cream & fresh lemon slices….just gorgeous. Light sponge & zesty Cheesecake.. taste sensation in a Sundae Glass…..thank you Ruskington Garden Centre for a great meal & thoroughly enjoyable experience & we shall return!

Staff need further training in manners and customer service. I asked a genuine question and the cashier rolled her eyes and tutted, terrible attitude. Our food arrived and all the meals with chips were hot but the Sunday lunch veg and stuffing was cold. I didn’t dare complain after that rude thing on the counter. It’s a shame because the place is nice. Also, it was extremely cold, the window was open and the staff said they couldn’t close it from inside! We had to keep our coats on. Pick up your gave Ruskington, you can do better than this!

As there is a terrible lack of nice services on trunk roads now, I looked around for somewhere to stop for a break on our way to and from our holiday destination. This came up on Google maps so thought we’d give it a go. What a great cafe - nice food selection, reasonably priced and a great garden centre to explore. The staff were very friendly too. It’s obviously very popular and so I was glad we’d planned our stop for 12 ish on the Saturday. It was so worth the detour off the A17. We returned on the Thursday on the journey back. Just as pleased again, and this time we bought scrummy puds to take home with us. I do wish it was closer!

This would have been 5/5 if only the cappuccino was improved. I don't particularly like strong coffee but my husband and I both had a cappuccino and it was so weak it didn't taste of anything. We thought it may have been a one off and ordered again the following week, but unfortunately it was just as tasteless. Other than that , both the garden centre and the cafe ( all cakes are amazing) are great!

Excellent surroundings and beautiful food with more than ample portions and very well presented. Very nice efficient staff too. If only every cafe was like this one. I had the best bacon/Brie/cranberry panini, my son had a sausage bun and chips and my hubby had a full breakfast including toast. We all had hot drinks and the bill was just under £35. This is situated inside the garden centre with everything you could ask for plant wise and we bought five mature plants and a large decorative planter. The staff helped us with the latter to our car and were really helpful. We will definitely return for plants and cafe, however we found the gift dept very expensive and weren’t tempted today to make a purchase from that section.

This place is very popular and was largely full today. It took about 25 minutes from ordering food to delivery. Usually I have a toasted sandwich with chips and salad etc. I find this meal excellent. Today however I wanted a change so ordered fish cakes with chips and peas. The meal was pretty awful. The fish cakes were probably not made fresh on site. They were tasteless and unseasoned. I left some it was so awful. The chips were cold the mushy peas barely edible. I would suggest the restaurant reconsider the suppliers of the fish cakes. My wife was happy with her meal……

I came in today as a regular customer, and I wasn't happy with the service today due to the old bloke in the white uniform, he had grey ish short hair and quite a small build. The certain man who I described was completely rude to me and how he said the food order to my family. He slammed it on the table and when I asked for sauces he walked off and tutted, and completely blanked me when I followed him back to the front for the food. I also heard when I came up to order my food how he was speaking to the team members was so disrespectful and unprofessional. I wont be coming back again as its such an unprofessional place and rude.

The meat on another meal had to be sent back as asked for it well done and it was served as red as the tomatoe on the salad, no apology just returned with the now limp salad and cold chips that were not replenished with the meat. This is the smaller cousin of Belton Garden Centre but that is not a derogatory comment. A friendly garden centre with surprises around every corner (for the gardener that is!) So much variety in a smaller space than Belton but just as good quality and prices. The restaurant has the same menu as it's bigger cousin but is a little more intimate and the serving staff are really pleasant. We spent a good couple of hours browsing around the centre coming away with a few well chosen purchases. A little hard to find but well worth the effort.

The selection of cakes and sweets on offer here was excellant and we were impressed by the actual building. However, when looking for a table to sit at, struggled to find a clean table/seats. As the seats were of wicker, crumbs were stuck many of the chairs. A member of staff wandering about with a dustpan and brush was more offputting than anything. Whenever we come down from York, we pop in here. A lovely coffee shop, with friendly staff and delicious cakes. We have had meals here and the food is gorgeous and cooked to order. As it's cooked to order it can take time but this is clearly noted on menu's and if cooking is taking longer than the time stated, due to being busy, then you are informed when ordering. The service has always been fantastic. Since one of our last visits (quite a while ago) there seems to be a reduction in the amount of food on the menu, however this is not a negative as there are still an impressive amount of choice. The bonus when we visit is wondering around the rest of the garden centre, which is always lovely. However, the biggest bonus for me is when we visit in December and see the Reindeer. We have never had a complaint and look forward to visiting again when we are down in the next few months. Thank you everyone!

We have been eating in this restaurant since it opened and always been very satisfied.Last year we moved to Yorkshire and decided to come back to Lincolnshire for a couple of days to visit friends.Top on our list was a visit to the garden centre for a lovely slice of their Pavlova and coffee.Unfortunately they did not have any and I jokingly said the lady behind the counter that I should have phoned up before I came and ordered one . She in a very surly and quite unpleasent way said that there was no chance of her even considering putting it on regardless. She also said that they did not always have it when for years and years it was a daily staple as I know with it being my guilty pleasure. We settled for 2 meringues instead and wish we hadn't, they were not a patch on the originals and whatever the cream was in the middle tasted as if it was on the turn.We ate up and left and won't be returning, it has become expensive and sub standard compared with what it used to be like. Maybe a more pleasant server would have helped.

I visited this establishment the other day for lunch with a friend as I was in the area. The cafe waiting time was very long, for what appears to be very simple food, some of which I'm certain was frozen. Cafe staff were reasonably friendly but didn't seem in any hurry to get orders out. We had a potter around whilst we were here and took a look at both the garden and gift area. The garden area although small offered a good selection of items and plants and varying prices giving good choice. The gift area seemed rather large compared to the garden area and was a little on the pricey side, but the items were of quality and appealing. I purchased a card and gift for a friend whilst here and was hoping to get some compost. When I arrived at the till to pay the attendant was chatting to the previous customer about a cruise she had just arrived back from, I waited a moment and I was briefly greeted and she continued talking to the last customer, whilst putting my items through the till system. I decided not to get my compost as there was not much chance to request it, paid and left. I was actually quite disappointed with my visit here as I had heard glowing reviews and felt overlooked as a customer. I will in future be sticking to Sleaford garden centre as I usually do in future.

We sat in the new area in cafe where there were comfy tartan club chairs and decent sized oak style round tables to sit at. We both had the breakfast option 3 (scrambled eggs on toast with bacon) along with pot of tea and orange juice. Everything freshly cooked and tasty. We shared a fresh fruit scone afterwards, and really enjoyed the quiet and bright area on a rainy day. Look forward to visiting in the winter when the wood fire is lit.

We visit about twice a week, usually for 11am brunch. Someone asked for a sample menu so I snapped one page (see pictures) from the extensive menu. I hasten to add that the breakfast and dinner menus are just as comprehensive.

The on site car park is good & the garden centre has a very wide choice of gardening products, plants, flowers, shrubs & ornaments. The staff are pleasant, helpful & friendly. Well worth a visit.

Ruskington garden centre has to be one of our favourite "chill out venues" it is so relaxing and timeless. On our last visit we called in the coffee shop for a snack and a coffee etc., and was pleasantly surprised at the Belton look alike ,very comfortable chairs and furnishings in the extended barn . Although our total food and drink order was taken by the unsmiling,oh heck here's another one,....young lady on the til,it took three separate deliveries to complete the order. The second attempt at delivery made me smile as I was reminded of the Julie Walters "Two soups" classic sketch . By the time the third and final delivery was made my wife had finished her meal,.....(she had left half of it due to rather iffy chips and an over hanging omelette that could have been in contact with anything) and the whole experience left us wondering where the usual spark and quality had gone. We will return to Ruskington garden centre for its ambience and restfulness, and trust that next time a more smiling personality will relieve me of my money when I place my order in the coffee shop and that the order will be delivered in its entirety, with care and a smile as indeed,we have hitherto, been accustomed to.

Spacious restaurant split into three areas, stables feel and look. Drinks were brought to the table within 5 mins of ordering and food 10 after that. We had delicious toasted sandwiches with side salads. Nice stroll around the shop area afterwards. Well worth a visit.

Busy cafe with tasty looking food. We both had coffees. The cappuccino had rather too much foam for me but it was well made.
