Have use the take away at least twice every month for a long time Having ordered a large fish and chips 22nd August The chip were soggy and the fish batter burnt and having to pay over £13.40 for the offering Needless to say disappointed to say the least, this was certainly not to standard and has but me off buying again. The chips has always been good but last night was the worst

Called today at lunchtime for first time . A warm welcome from a lovely lady . Order taken, came quickly superb fish and chips with hot drinks. Service was excellent will return. Sorry didn't get names of the staff, lovely lady front of house and young man behind bar area.

Either takeaway or sitting in then you will not be disappointed. The food quality is exceptional time and time again. The restaurant can be pricey but that is compensated with by a nice atmosphere, polite staff and generous portions of delicious food.

Elite Sleaford used to be very good. Good food and friendly and efficient staff. The latest batch of Front of House staff give the very strong impression that not only do they not want to be there but they don’t want you there either. I think a lot of the customer facing staff are P/T and don’t have a great deal of interest in the longevity of the business, so long term doesn’t matter to them but it should matter to the owners and full time staff. I suggest they have a very critical look at who they are employing.

Very good food. Gluten free menu was amazing. Even though we travelled home 8 miles with the food, it still tasted very good. We did click and collect and the service was outstanding. Highly recommend.

The Elite is a family run business in LINCOLNSHIRE and have restaurants around the Lincoln area. Good value with special deals particularly for those who want a small or larger fish dish. Can order online for collection. Pleasant staff.

Booked by phone for a party of seven plus three young children.. for Saturday evening 2nd April 2022. A great choise on the menu.. Beautiful batter encrusted beautifuly white cod . The fish flakes had the deepest of ocean taste., totally wonderful. The chips had the best of Lincolnshire taste. Fish cake and nuggets were first class.... All this was served by outstanding satff that The Elite Fish & Chip Shop sill be trully proud of.

Disappointing, not good value for money. Fish looked beautiful but was tasteless. Chips not cooked properly. Ordered lemon, none packed. Daughter has pushed them away saying horrible! Most expensive f & c shop on Sleaford!!!!

Had ordered on phone (bad move) Saturday £35 worth, fish tasteless some of chips together with my fish must have been leftover from lunchtime and reheated but just ordering you can’t see what crap they are giving you, definitely won’t be going there again it’ll be the good reliable chinky

Decided to have fish & chips last night, was excited too, placed my order (x2 large chips, x1 battered sausage, x1 large fish, x3 curry sauce). The chips were soggy (no vinegar with order), tasteless and full of eyes (big black spots on chips). Fish batter once again soggy and full of grease, in fact grease was the only flavour, curry sauce...well where do I begin. The curry was a lukewarm watery mess, it tasted like a watered down version of the powdered curry you can get from supermarkets (it was awful). Safe to say I nor my family will ever ever ever step foot in this so called "fish and chips" shop ever again.

First visit to this restaurant but had been to the Ruskington one many years ago so expected good things. Not disappointed, the food was delicious and the service really good. The waitress I believe had only been there for 3 days but brilliant

Brought my parents for lunch on Tuesday, their first 'out out ' trip for over 18 months. Absolutely briiliant, i called to enquire whether we needed to book, as times have changed. It was optional, but we decided to do. Good parking, resteraunt was an amazing temperature, and from the minute we walked in we felt "safe" . The waitress was so obliging and patient with my parents. The food itself was to die for, piping hot, new potatoes, portion size was ample, my only disappoint was we didnt have enough room for the gorgeous looking puds! Just means we WILL be back , and i know for sure my parent's who live more local than me, will definately be back, be it in the resteraunt ot take away.

Having eaten in at the Ruskington restaurant on 20th May 2021 when we had the best fish and chips ever we decided to stop here for a takeaway Friday 16th July. What a mistake. My Rock was fine. The batter on my partners haddock was soggy. The chips were anaemia, floppy and greasy. The next day we were all (dog included as he had some haddock) were sick. We’ll give the Ruskington restaurant another try but will never use these for a takeaway again.

Very good Regular Haddock for my Cousin & Myself my wife chose Chicken Nuggets, No smell in the Resturant as in many fish & chip shops. Very Busy but we were served promptly and served by very able staff!

A really good sit down chippy? More like a restaurant! Very swish! Lots of parking. Waitress service, being lead to your table, just like a restaurant. The first thing that grabs you is the high level of hygiene. You don't stick to these tables that are already laid out. There's a Specials board even! Alcohol and puddings! Wow! My levels of expectations are high. Waitress suggests catch of the day though I go for the haddock, chips and peas while my mate has pie chips and beans. Food arrives, piping hot as you'd expect, peas and beans served separately. Soft drinks in glasses. We're riding our bikes out weekly and try to visit the most highly recommend local fishnchips but just a little greasy for my liking and that's just personal taste and the chips could have been a little bit crispier though the peas were some of the best I've had. My mates pie was not a Pukka pie though he said it was delicious, possibly homemade. Overall this is a must to visit and we will certainly be back.

Visited many times and always the same consistent fantastically fresh-cooked fish. The restaurant service is first-class, with attentive, friendly and polite staff.On this occasion we had the starter of salt and pepper squid, haddock, rock salmon ( hooray ! and cooked to perfection ) - with a dessert of the chocolate brownie and ice cream - plus drinks.Can't wait to return again !Thank you also to all the cooking staff - it's the best in the Midlands.

This is a recently built fish and chips café on the outskirts of Sleaford. Comprehensive traditional menu with several different types of fish available, and in different size portions. Well cooked and presented, and served by courteous and friendly staff. You can also get alcoholic drinks to accompany your meal. We recommend it.

Visited the Sleaford Restaurant yesterday for the first time and was pleased to find Rock (Huss) and Plaice on the Menu and not just the usual choice of Cod or Haddock ! both the Rock & Plaice were cooked perfectly and tasted lovely, finished off with desserts of Apple Pie & Lemon Meringue ..... Service was excellent with polite and friendly staff.... thanks, this won't be the last visit.

Have eaten here a few times whilst working in the area and always been very impressed with the quality of food in the restaurant, today was no different. Had the chicken strips that were cooked to perfection and then had the large haddock with chips and peas, i couldn't manage all the chips as i was full but fully enjoyed the meal, the fish was very thick and meaty and cooked excellently. I will be most definitely be returning when in the area again

This place seems to have got it right. The standards are high and the presentation of the business and its offering are kept to that standard. Overall I have had several experiences both in the restaurant and the takeaway. Each time the service is good and the food very good.

We had a large fish and chips and a small one. The large fish was outstanding, the small, boxed one was not good at all. We would like our chips cooked longer to produce a brown, not bland, colour but will be back.

I was recommended to this chippy by some friends, my first visit there I was pleased with my haddock and chips, and the service was friendly and efficients, my second visit the chips were awful, old and dried out, my third visit chips were better but not brilliant at all, my fourth and final visit the chips were again awful and I took the trouble this time to see how many chips were in the container in which they are kept hot, and it was loaded, so it looks like the chips are bulk fried and first servings are lucky and get good chips but as the pile sits there drying out any late comers before the next batch is thrown in gets duff chips, I must have been lucky to be first on my first visit. Each time I visited I had haddock and I have no complaints with the fish which is fried to order, just a pity they cannot do the same with the chips, I shall not be returning and would not under any circumstances recommend the shop to anyone, as I firmly believe that there is no need to serve old chips, when they can be batch part fried and quickly fried to completion on demand, as I did in the chip shop that I ran very successfully some years ago.

Service was abysmal, didn't get chance to finish my order before the assistant moved onto the next customer. Staff were bickering amongst themselves too. Didn't bother to wait to get my order completed and left after a minute. Went to a better fish and chip place called 'Sunny's' - got treated better and listened too. Avoid this place like the plague, Elite doesn't live up to its name whatsoever.

Nice clean resturant the fish and peas were piping hot but the chips were small dry and chewy. Another couple complained before we did and we were all told that they were aware of the poor quality of potatoes. As the chips were not fit for eating it would have been good of the company to take of the cost of the chips but no offer came. At £24 for the meal of fish peas bread and tea it was very expensive.

Went with friends .. waitress was friendly but a bit nervous and inexperienced ..just needs a bit of training and confidence .. restaurant is very nice lovely furniture and clean - food is lovely and quick to arrive plus was hot.. definitely recommend

Had some of the best fish and chips ever. It was a busy Friday night so there was a slightly longer wait than usual but it was definitely worth it. I ordered a large haddock and unlike some restaurants, this was a huge piece of fish. The batter was light and the whole meal was delicious. Not cheap at £10 for fish, chips and beans but probably reasonable for the amount you got. Look forward to visiting again.

Went with my mum & Aunty & they had a pensioners fish & chips & loved it. I however, opted for the prawn salad 🥗 Very disappointed 😔 The prawns were very dry & the salad very sparse. What a shame. Service is good 😊

We took the family last week as being regular users we thought it would be nice for them but oh no, it was dreadful. 4 of us had the special which we normally have but the fish was small and loads of hard greasy batter. What made it worse was one of the children had chicken nuggets, she bit into one and said it tasted nasty, on examining the nugget there was something inside which was not chicken! Wow these folks know how to make great fish and chips, if you want to get fantastic fish and chips without going to the coast then these guys are the ones to visit, I have never tasted such great quality inland, just call in if ever your local, this is real quality and not anymore expensive than anywhere else, not surprised they have won so many awards, the staff are also lovely!

En una nota positiva, el director se ocupó con el problema muy profesionalmente, pero reconoció mi esposa como habiendo tenido el mismo problema en el pasado reciente, y estaba avergonzado por este último evento. Sign outside says Senior Specials Available in Restaurant. When I asked about these was told that there were none! Ordered Steak Pie and gravy. Chips were awful, gravy was lumpy and tasted of curry, pie had more gravy than meat. Pot of tea tasted like dishwater. Waitress hovering like a moth to a light who attempted to overcharge me. How this place wins awards beggars belief!

We bought two large Haddock and two large chips - and it fed 4 easily. Very, very good quality - and very good service. Waiting time on a Friday evening about 10-15 mins - but worth the wait.

We have eaten at the Sleaford Elite many times and have always enjoyed the fish and chips at lunch time. The staff are always very helpful, remembering us and our orders when we walk in. Parking outside is available, and the take away fish and chips shop is adjacent to the restaurant.Well worth a visit.

Elite in Lincoln has always been a favourite but this one has been far better recently, they cover the fish in batter much better so it does not get dry areas.Banner says fish fryer of the year, lives up to the hype so far. Clean modern building with good parking. Try it.

It is such a shame that good food can be spoiled by unrealistic pricing and poor (ignorant) waitressing staff. I don't expect to be referred to as "luvvie" throughout the meal. I find it exceptionally rude to lean across one diner to serve another especially during eating. The way we were informed of the extra charge was unacceptable, I did not need every table in the room to know we were being charged extra. Although the food was good I can not recommend the service nor the lack of value for money.

Been here a few time now - ordinarily it has been very nice. Today however - vile. Will not divert again - will instead go to McDonald's or burgerking enroute back to Derbyshire.

Very enjoyable fish and chips, with a wide range of more adventurous options than your typical chip shop fayre. They have a good range of specials, that change regularly, worth coming back as there is bound to something interesting on the board.The dining area is certainly a cut above your usual fish and chip emporium.

I think this is the best fish and chips in the area, served in very nice surroundings. We have here several times and enjoyed it each time. Was recommended by a friend, and did not disappoint us. Will be quite happy to visit again.

Nice looking restaurant and comfortable. The fish was quite nice but rather small, the batter was lovely and crisp. but the chips left a lot to be desired, more like frozen chips and small portion sizes too which would have been understandable if they were new potatoes but if not frozen they were old potatoes that had gone soft. Staff were pleasant enough. The bread rolls were past their best and rather dry, 1 had no spread in it. Puddings were all nice except for the Brownie, it was over done and uneatable. All in all not worth the money, and it was the most expensive fish and chip restaurant I have visited for a long while. the batter was the star. None of us would go there again, I felt guilty taking my Mum there for her birthday meal.

I was last here before I left the RAF in 2007 and visited this week. I am pleased but not surprised to see that it has maintained the high quality of the food and service and gone from strength to strength. Still the best fish and chips in the county bar none.

We have been to The Eiite restaurant on numerous occasions and have always found the food and service to be exceptional. The food is tasty, hot and well cooked, and we have never had to wait for a table or waited any longer than 15 minutes for food. One of the best places to eat in Sleaford.

This fish restaurant is well worth a visit. The staff were extremely busy but made us feel really welcome. The fish batter was really crispy & light. The cod was the best I have had in a chippy and the portions are huge. Please be patient as everything is cooked to order and at the same time they are also trying to keep up with the takeaway as well. We will definitely visit again when next in Sleaford. At the moment there is a large car park alongside the restaurant but it does get busy.

Though there were over 70 in our party we had first class service, meals came out very rapidly on piping hot plates, and were absolutely delicious. Light crispy batter on succulent haddock with chunky chips that were equally as crispy.

It really was a disappointment! We went for a traditional meal of haddock and chips, and we're looking forward to it. We usually eat at an Elite sister restaurant at nearby Ruskington. That is not open on a Monday, hence our visit to Sleaford. There all similarity ended.We entered the restaurant and stood for five minutes in the doorway. Not a member of staff to be seen, so we eventually chose a table and sat down. Eventually after a further ten minutes a waitress appeared. She apologised saying she had not seen us enter. We were given the menus and ordered haddock, chips and peas along with a pineapple fritter, bread and butter and a pot of tea for two.The tea was delivered quickly, but there was no extra water and the amount of milk in the jug was miniscule, not enough for two cups each. On sight we asked for a second jug! The fish and chips arrived and were really nice, but there was no bed and butter. And, more important, no staff in sight to ask. We ate our fish and chips which fortunately were very good, and decided we would like a sweet. We waited for half an hour but couldn't catch the eye of a staff member. To be fair, staff members were few and far between!After thirty minutes we cut our losses and left. The basic commodity is very acceptable but the management need to make adjustments to their staff levels and introduce some intensive staff training. Really was a shame.

Have had both eat in and take away Fish and Chips from Elite and have been impressed on both occasions.Our meals have been top notch both times, really nice chips, not too greasy and with just about the right amount of crunch and fullness at the same time. As well as nice fish the pie and sausage have also been good.Service times were good both for eating in and take away and the prices are reasonable. Higher than the average but more than worth it for the quality.

Decided to try the specialty fish cakes.opted for the smoked haddock n mozzarella cheese, only disappointment was I only ordered one! it was delicious!!! So subtle, I'm not a big fish fan, but will defo have this again

Restaurant was quiet but had a nice atmosphere. We were served quickly at the meals were on our table within minutes. Good food if maybe a little on the expensive side but very enjoyable. The waitress was lovely and there were plenty of high chairs and changing facilities for our baby.

This was our first visit here, having been recommended by friends. My husband ordered lemon sole and my son had the regular cod and chips which they both enjoyed. I ordered the half roast chicken but unfortunately when I received it the chicken was luke warm. So I had to send it back.The replacement came piping hot as it should be, but I was eating on my own as the others had already finished.
