Booked here for Sunday lunch Order drinks and they informed us there was a problem with the Coke pump so we ordered lemonade it arrived at the table and was a pint of lightly brown coloured liquid when I said that is not lemonade I was told by the server it has a little diet coke in it as well it's fine when I said no replace it he looked shocked Ordered our food I ordered the chicken stuffed with ricotta and spinch in a creamy sauce as you can see from the photo I didn't not get that Was a very dry chicken best with some for of spinach stuff in one end not at all filled with what was advertised and a brown tangy gravey like sauce I ended up scraping the spinach out and trying to est the chicken We advised them the food wasn't great and a manger would come and speak to us no one came in the end we paid and left I think they may have. An amazing Indian menu from the reviews and should stick to that as the Sunday dinner was below par

Got some food delivered to our holiday park. Very happy with the food and service given. Food delivered in good time and driver very polite.

The pizza was really good, the carbonara was average..atmosphere and decor needs definitely an improvement, as prices aren’t low. Service was good. The ice cream and tiramisu are definitely recommended.

The food is awesome! And I'm judging it by New York City Indian food and decades of a love of the cuisine. I only ate the vegetarian options, which basically they say take anything on menu and they can make it veg Friendly owners- a husband and wife I believe- highly recommended, I wish they were in my hometown, I would rarely cook. Oh try the Baji's the fried onion balls-delish!

Food was cold and looked like been cooked daybefore and heated back up not going back there again

Fantastic Sunday lunch. Really good I had soft shell crabs as a starter never had before but was lovely. Sunday roast I had pork you got a whole rib of pork with crackling great .

Visited the Kings Head last month and had a superb Sunday lunch, so decided to rebook for a friends birthday today, well it couldn't have more disappointing.... they had run out of orange juice, the pate clearly wasn't chicken liver parfit, the cottage pie I asked my friend to try who is also a home cook of 50 yrs plus and her reaction was " school dinner " as it was so bland. Certainly not the experience of the month before. The party of 4 agreed we will not be returning.

Arrived at the establishment sat at a table which was filled with previous customers dirty plates and cups which I moved to side of table , then sat for 5 mins only to realise that it wasn't table service 😳 😀 then proceeded to counter to order 2 breakfasts to be perfectly honest was,nt great .. when the table was cleared the table wasn't sanitized or even cleaned !! The drinks were OK the food medioca , as we had breakfasts the beans were luke warm the toast had hardly any butter on it , probably could only say the the hash browns were pribs best part of it the eggs were snotty covered in burnt oil which left an after taste so not happy I would not eat there again ...

Although the service in the cafe was slow and the staff forgot to bring me my order, the food was actually very tasty. However, the visit to the toilet was horrendous - the toilet seat in the unisex, accessible toilet had been left up to, to expose the most disgusting orange/brown urine staining (see photo's). I reported this to the store manager, who couldn't have been less interested - despite me showing her the toilet seat, she offered no apology, smiled and stated that it had already been reported and she was already aware of it. I believe she said that it was being addressed next week, so if anyone needs the toilet, you may be better to cross your legs until you can find somewhere more sanitary to use! Very annoyingly, the manager saw fit to speak to somebody on her headset whilst I was talking to her - really disrespectful and patronising. Really not the standard that I expected from Waitrose!

Ordered a takeaway from here it's the worst meal I have ever had just tasted of old grease & ill all night so stay well clear of this place people

How can anyone on here say this is a bad chippy? Honestly, sometimes Trip Advisor reviews really miss the mark. This place serves AMAZING fish 'n' chips. The batter is crispy and the chips are incredible. And I say this as a Northerner, so clearly a fish n chip aficionado. If you visit Oundle, get fish 'n' chips from here, you will NOT be disappointed.

Enjoyed. Food good. Good variety.Service efficient. Good price. Worth visiting. Convenient. Parking if you are lucky.

Had the best time at the talbot! Staff couldn’t have been more welcoming and friendly to us - food was great and the building was beautiful!

No words can describe how fantastic this pub is, this has become our regular and we have no faults! food is fantastic, we have started doing the bottomless gin afternoon tea ,again fantastic, great supply of Gin well looked after, cakes to die for! Highly recommend! Staff are fantastic and very welcoming! Location of the pub is great, sit in the comfort of the country pub or down by the river overlooking fields. Highly recommend this pub :)

I such a great little business in a beautiful town with so much promise but unfortunately the experience is one to avoid. I am local and have visited over the years with the hopes that it will one day meet its potential. Today was not that day, again. Simple mid-afternoon visit for a bite to eat - jacket potato, veg chilli and a cup of breakfast tea - what could go wrong? Hmm, tea - not the blend ordered but let’s not be fussy. Dirty cup - a tide mark dirty. Swopped at the counter for … an even dirtier cup. Thankfully replaced with a freshly washed cup from the kitchen. Food - sparse and underwhelming. Undercooked microwaved large potato , a pinch of ‘salad’ and a small pot of chilli insufficient to allow all of the potato to be eaten as it was just too dry. Table had been wiped down with a slice of bread and butter - not the bread side either. As other comments and my past experiences here, this cafe clearly exists to serve the local school footfall with little effort to achieve its great potential.
