I had the most delicious prawn sandwich that I have ever tasted, the bread was soft and freshly baked and the prawns were high quality, crisp, fresh salad and generous portions. The staff were lovely and friendly, I would highly recommend a visit !

Oundle would not be the same without Beans and we were so glad when they could re-open for takeaways. It’s great to be able to sit in again and now there are a few more tables the good atmosphere is returning. Have been coming here for 16 years and still love Beans. Long May you continue.

Beans have a good, practical system in place for takeaway coffee and snacks during the pandemic. The coffee I ordered came quickly and was good quality.

Not a local popped in for lunch and had the homemade lasagne with salad and bread. Beautiful, good sized portion and nice fresh salad. Good value for money. Very friendly staff.

Our son introduced us to this coffee shop, it gets very busy at weekends but the staff are really nice, so is the coffee and snacks.

Found the cafe while waiting to book in to the hotel nearby.free wi-fi. Had cheese scone,Bakewell tart,two lattes lots of choices of sandwiches,meals,cakes.was quite busy.

I came here the morning after a night at the venue next door.It was a great little place to grab some breakfast and a brew and unwind a bit before we made our way home after a big night the night before.We had all kinds of food and drinks and couldn't complain at any (the Maltesers Milkshake thought, Yum!)The staff were friendly and the prices were reasonable and plenty of seating!Although we weren't on bikes there were signs about the place about how the had spare parts, help for cyclists and bike racks outside so it seems that this is a known haunt if this is your kind of thing!P.s we stayed the nearby Ship Inn and went to a wedding at the Talbot Hotel, both a few seconds walk away.

Been here a few times, normally after a long walk along the River Nene with my wife. The service is good and the drinks and sandwiches are nice.

Watching the world go by drinking a decent cup of coffee as a short break on a long cycle ride! Poster in the loos says the owner is a keen cyclist and has various pieces of equipment to borrow/have if needed. Ordered and paid at the counter, then the order is brought to the table. Will cycle this way again as the good coffee certainly got me going again!!

This was a good place for a quick pit stop on a late Saturday afternoon. We enjoyed a pot of tea and lovely Maltesers tiffin. There was a good selection of cakes to chose from.

Stopped here on a walk through Oundle for a tea and slice of cake. Whilst waiting in the queue I saw people drinking milkshakes so decided to also order one. I was not disappointed. Will definitely come here again.

I have been going to Beans for the last year or so, but with decreasing frequency of late. My most recent visit was a reminder why and has persuaded me that I shouldn't go back again. Service has always been on sedater side of prompt (waits of 10 minutes for just a decaf are not unusual) and the coffee is rarely as hot as one would want. On the rare occasions I have bought food it has been fine (cakes typically much better than savoury, though) but expensive for what it is. Today was the final straw. I ordered a coffee and sandwich having been given a pre-paid Beans gift card. However this was not recognised by the machine. The server admitted it was a fault with their equipment. Nevertheless no solution was offered, the implication being that I should simply pay cash for my food even though (as the card is pre-paid) it has effectively already been paid for. Therefore I left sans meal and went to Tesco where the food is half the price and the service incalculably quicker. While we all like to support local businesses this is not an excuse for laxity. For me, Beans have ground their last.

Absolutely terrible cafe, tables were dirty and hadn't been emptied. The cappuccinos were cold and the full English was a disaster to say the least. I have never been one for reviews before in fact this is the first one ever but a crusty stale sausage uncooked tomato cheap brown bread and random pots on the plate made it a disaster, during the breakfast we were interrupted by the window cleaner which is always a bonus. Bacon was nice and good quality but overall this cafe is trying to run before it can walk, overpriced and will be going elsewhere until it improves drastically.

Very friendly staff with excellent customer service. Food and drink very good quality. Great atmosphere. An excellent place for just a quick drink or a more leisurely time.

Nice little coffee shop. Very popular with cyclists particularly in the summer. We visit here on a regular basis and always enjoy the coffee however the real draw is their bacon sandwiches! Thick slices of cut white bread with lots of smoked crisp bacon. There are lots of other lunch type dishes but this is definitely our favourite. They also do sandwiches, soup and baked potatoes of all types. Staff are friendly and costs are reasonable.

The staff here were so lovely, we arrived for a very late lunch and our first choices for lunch had sold out but we eventually found something we liked on the menu! Thoroughly enjoyed my huge jacket potato with chilli and cheese and the fruit and nut tiffin to follow was to die for!

We went in Beans today at 12.30 one coffee tea great then we ordered baked potatoes on tune mayo one vegetarian chilli the food arrived my wife had the tuna lovely large well baked potato oven backed Crisp skin fluffy inside mine on the other hand was very very small potato a quarter of the size of my wife's was on my plate and was clear to see that it had been microwaved and had never been cooked in an oven my wife wanted me to complain about the size of it and how it had been cooked just as I had finished the person on the next table had a baked potato which was large as the one my wife had Ben given and had clearly been baked in an oven what I was given was absolutely disgusting to call it a baked potato I will never frequent this establishmentAgain ripoff

Always produce a nice cup of coffee and their milkshakes are even better, the cookie dough one was to die for. Always a good selection of cake and snacks to choose from.

Used to love going to beans, quality stuff and good portion sizes. Sadly it is not what it used to be. I have given a few chances over the past few weeks and every one has been a let down. From hot chocolates that smelt/tasted off, milkshakes that have barely any flavour to soggy panini's and dry muffins. A medium milkshake and a panini cost me just under £9 which is insane considering they aren't pleasant. It's a shame, but I won't be spending my money there anymore.

Called in for coffee when passing. Found the place noisy and with a disorganised ordering queue. From there the order was a little slow in arriving. A bit 'works canteen' I'm afraid.

I'd decided to take a ride on a the wet & cold Sunday morning visiting the outlying villages. Coming into the picturesque Oundle I saw a lot of bikes leaning against the corner and a very steamed up window of Beans. Well that is always a good sign. On entry you could see few tables left, we grabbed on and had a look at the yummy looking cakes. Well one luxurious Easter cake later and a good coffee, I people watched always a good way to know if the vibe is good. This is defiantly a stop for me in the future and I've shared it with all my friends.

I've been going to Beans since I was introduced to it by my friends in Middle school. It's visually appealing and always has a very friendly atmosphere. I always go here when I'm in Oundle with friends for a milkshake and slice of cake (Highly recommended their Malteser milkshake). I hope others enjoy it as much as I do!

Light meals or just a cake and a coffee, this is a great place to take a break from the shopping. The staff are very friendly and will bring your order to the table, after a not too long wait. A table by the window is a must if you enjoy watching the world go by. Prices are reasonable and the mocha coffee we ordered, was very good. Cakes were gluten free on some. Free papers to read, if you've time to spare. We will be back here next time we are visiting the area.

Whenever I'm in the area - which is not often enough! - I call in here for a coffee and a cake. Always pleasant service and very reasonable prices - a joy to visit.

Tried to squeeze into a packed Brew Babu but gave up and went over the street to a near empty Beans! 4 teenage staff standing chatting and didn’t seem to know what was on their menu. Salad advertised but not really any available unfortunately. Chose chilli pots which were tasty as was the soup and chai latte. Only another couple of people in the cafe. A shame really as it is in a great position and has huge potential but certainly needs a shakeup as regards menu and staff.

As another reviewer has said Beans appears to be run by youngsters who have no idea about welcoming their customers. I have been there a number of times and it is always the same. This is a shame as the coffee is good and they have a good selection of cakes and other food.

Went here with family for lunch and was not disappointed, simple but great menu and the food was homemade and so delicious! Nice atmosphere and plenty of room, definately recommend this place as the prices are also fair.

This was our favourite cafe in the charming market town of Oundle. If the weather is good, grab a spot at one of the outside tables, perfect for people watching and catching a few rays.The coffee sizes are the largest I've seen anywhere.Their menu is quite extensive. All the food comes out quickly and is tasty. The staff are attentive and polite. A great place for brekkie, lunch or just to pop in for a quick coffee.

After a nightmare trying to shop elsewhere we returned to Oundle and the less manic side of life.Seeing a table outside Beans we sat there and my partner ordered drinks inside .The cappuccino was all it should have been , hot and frothy and with skimmed milk! Difficult to obtain in other coffee places. We were joined by a lovely couple with their Grandchildren and their dog . They had ordered toasted cheese sandwiches which looked very good and I was inspired to order one next visit. [We had eaten prior to going ] The service was good and a smile goes a long way . We will return.

Coffee a solid 5/10 and staff neutral to utterly miserable.Visited 3 times and things got worse each time so called it a halt at that point lest one, so bereft of any joy at all, should take her life in the juicer.Nice place across the road.

Beans is awesomely located in Oundle. Grab a street table (when the sun is shining) and you really get to experience a slice of every day life in Oundle. The food selection is great and well priced - and the coffee is huge! A medium is like an extra large (by Aussie standards at least). Well worth stopping by.

Un amigo y yo fuimos a oundle Fforest un vistazo y una taza de té. Fuimos a granos y fue muy agradable. Tuve un té helado y fue uno de los mejores té helado que he tenido en un rato. Yo también tenía una porción mars fue muy agradable. Buen ambiente y un montón de gente y la salida.

Este tiene que ser el mejor café por millas, si no el mejor, en el REINO UNIDO. El café es la degustación siempre frescos, nunca quemados, nunca amarga. También parecen ser el único barman que sé lo que es. macciato Junto con el café que tienen excelente comida y pasteles de estómago. Personalmente me encantan los cruasanes frescos o un buen bagel. Todo el personal es encantador y muy amable. El ajuste permite ver a la gente dentro o fuera y proporcionan agua para perros también. Hemos sido clientes habituales de las judías de Oundle por más de 10 años. No estoy seguro de lo que ha ocurrido recientemente o si es otro ejercicio de recorte de costos brexit, pero las rebanadas de pastel son la mitad del tamaño que solía ser, y la selección de pasteles no es lo que solía ser. Decimos a traer más opciones y hacer las rodajas tarta el mismo que solía ser o tendremos que dar nuestro exclusivo a otro sitio local!

Yo venía de café. Este café sólo parece tener lo que se necesita para ser un punto de encuentro en Oundle. Mucha gente aquí todo el tiempo, charlando y reunirse y comer. . Ambiente encantador., pero la comida y la bebida bien y aceptable, pero nada especial, y sin embargo es el tipo de lugar que quieras volver. Aquí usted puede pasar y no ser apresurado. Have been to Beans in Oundle a few times now as it's a very good place to arrange to meet people due to corner location in centre of town. Coffee and cakes are very good and the food looks interesting too. Nice seating areas inside and outside.

Haven't eaten here, but the coffee is good, particularly the flat whites! I'd opt for the extra shot as the coffee isn't the strongest.

Stopped here for a break on a long journey after Reading Tripadvisor reviews. It's got high stools and basic chairs, not comfortable seating. However the staff were all welcoming and friendly. The coffee is served in very large mugs and you get a good couple of cups of tea from the tea pot. The raspberry flapjacks were delicious. They had a small food menu but the food sounded appealing (didn't stop for a meal) - quiche, lasagne, jacket potato, salads etc. Four drinks and two flapjacks cost us £13. It seemed a very popular place to stop for cyclists.

Vine aquí durante el día feriado para el desayuno ya que estábamos pasando a través de Oundle. No tienen una opción vegetariana para el desayuno, así que le pregunté si podía tomar huevos, frijoles, tomates y pan tostado. Tanto la mía y uno de mis compañeros de huevos estaban tan hecha, a penas había yema de izquierda. También la tostada estaba fría de piedra. Iba a mencionar a un miembro del personal que el desayuno no era muy bueno que me preguntó cómo estaba nuestra comida, pero por desgracia no lo hicieron. El desayuno no es su especialidad. Aunque veo en otras críticas que hacen leche buena - batidos, así que quizás la leche - shake y una porción de tarta es mejor ceñirnos si me visita de nuevo!

Called in with my 2granddaughters for lunch. They had toasted sandwiches and I a panini. They all came with a nice salad garnish. The girls had amazing milk shakes which was the main reason we were there. Good choice of menu and quick bites.

Pedí un caramelo de soja y fue dado capuchino muy rápidamente. Después de ir a casa y la bebida había enfriado lo suficiente como para beber, me pareció que me había sido dado leche caliente de soja con un poco de chocolate en la cima!! No me impresionó. Además, fui a un café y un bollo para desayunar hace unos días, el servicio era bueno y así fue el café (aunque se olvidaron de mi misma bebida shot caramelo), pero la magdalena era rancio!! Siempre tenía una vista bien de frijoles, pero este fin de semana ha sido muy decepcionante.

I ordered a hot chocolate and an almond croissant early morning. A super hot chocolate was served laden with a cream topping and a handful of baby marshmallows. The croissant was fresh (often risky buying these items early as I have received tough old ones left from day before at some coffee shops). It was good to sit at the bar area facing the window and watch the world go by. Not cheap, but noticeably superior to many other places that I have visited.

Este acogedor bar de desayuno, es un magnífico lugar para el desayuno y comida durante todo el día. Recomiendo el sandwich de bacon, pero ofrecen una excelente selección, servidos con rapidez y caseras. Un lugar acogedor para reunirse con amigos o colegas para una reunión por la mañana temprano o simplemente para disfrutar de un buen desayuno en el camino al trabajo! Visitamos hoy aquí ya que era un lugar me lo recomendó mi compañero por "los mundos mejores batidos"me llevé a mis socios consejos y visitamos judías hoy para un batido. Una gran un batido de chocolate con crema. Feliz y agradable servicio con un personal estupendo que realmente hacen que te sientas como en casa.El un batido se hizo está a pocos minutos de distancia. Bebida encantadora con un paseo por Oundle ciudad.Sin duda lo recomiendo para visitar aquí si tienes la oportunidad. 10/10

Sólo desayunamos aquí, pero parecía que ofrecen una amplia variedad de cafés, tartas y comidas ligeras. Teniendo en cuenta lo lleno que era obviamente tiene una buena reputación local. Y nuestro desayuno ... estaba muy bien, no es demasiado grande, pero sigue siendo un "desayuno inglés completo". Muy agradable.

Lovely coffees, cakes and savouries and watch the World go by! Price in line with chain coffee shops, so quite expensive but all in all so much nicer than these type of places as it is unique.

Good cafe for coffee, cakes and light snacks. Central, friendly service can get very busy. Coffee delicious nice section of cakes haven't had lunch here.

Quaint lil coffee shop in a beautiful little market town. Lots of character! A nice place to meet for a coffee and chat or breakfast or even lunch! Lots of fair trade products too!

I am quite particular about my coffee and today I had an excellent Americano. Didn't eat so cant comment but someone else's sandwiches looked very good. Nice and warm also on a cold day.

My favourite cafe in Oundle.I like to sit outside at a pavement table (except when it rains) and enjoy a regular size latte.Everyone working in Beans is so friendly AND English and by now they know what I like and how I like it.!! I call it my office and people know where to find me.Sitting outside gives people the opportunity to stop and chat.It doesn't get any better than this on a sunny afternoon.This is a smashing cafe in the centre of Oundle.Try it.They also have lovely display of cakes,sandwiches and Paninis

I enjoyed Beans and have been in there a good number of times. The coffee is always good, so no complaints at all. Nice waiting staff, attention given to gluten free options, with plenty of choices. If I were to offer any comment it would be that the chairs could be more comfy. But that is picky. It's a great place and I would go again.

Popped in as was staying nearby only had coffee and milkshake here. Only thing lacking here was some comfy shares.

Good coffee shop along the lines of the large high street chains. Tray bake cakes and pastries. Simple breakfast and daily choice lunch. Shame has lost its nice touches offered in the early days i.e.: freshly squeezed orange juice with jelly beans on the side. Now bottled orange juice and no jelly beans. It was these little touches that set them apart from the larger chains.

A perfect place for breakfast if you're billeted at the nearby Ship Inn. Watch the world go by as you tuck in to freshly cooked food.

This is a lovely cafe in a lovely setting. The milkshakes are worth stopping by for. The prices not the cheapest.

We come to oundle every now and again. This visit to beans was disappointing. We waited 20 minutes for our food and when it arrived it was lukewarm. I'm not sure if it was originally hot and had cooled down, or they had heated is slightly. Either way it wasn't very appetising. The staff seemed disinterested and didn't really know what they were doing. Won't go back, there are better places in oundle to eat.

Pretty good coffee (though flat white more like a latte!!) very average food, tired and dismal decor and seating. In need of an all round revamp.

It's a nice little coffee shop somewhat near to Oundle town center It's a brill place to stop for a nice drink & worth a little diversion of the A605. The service is lovely & you can't go wrong with the Milkshakes There is only one problem Parking can be a pain & traffic builds up about 3:30 for the end of School rush in term time. So if your on your travels & don't fancy stopping at a Services or just in Oundle for some reason Just give it a go.
