I used to spend at least £150 a week here but got fed up of no manned tills being open after a certain time.its Asda job to scan products not mine.im a customer not an employee.if you use scan and shop alot of the time they want to do a full scan of your shopping so they end up unpacking your whole shopping making the experience frustrating

Too many bottle necks when entering and leaving the store, all of which could be avoided. Sometimes there's stalls, then plants and the homeless. It's difficult enough for those able bodied to negotiate this let alone the elderly. Add in the fact you have the escalators pushing people into the same spot it's asking for trouble. Please think ahead when planning these areas Asda and for the public please make it easier on the elderly who struggle when faced with these obstacles 🙏

Can only say it is what it is - a rather unexciting supermarket . There is a shocking amount of empty space on the shelves, which is ironic considering the piles of boxes stock dumped in various places around the store. This is every time I visit. Spillages are left uncleaned, items lying on the floor left unpicked up, boxes on the shelf not actually opened... I could go on about the lack of floor staff doing floor work. The reason for all this may be because all of the staff seem to be picking for home delivery with massive trolleys which they wield with no consideration for actual in-person customers. I've been nearly hit several times. There are also a total of 3 or 4 manned checkouts (not that they're ever all manned), the vast majority of the checkout area is given over to the scan n shop and the self-scan tills, approximately 10-12 of each.

This store has a manger with a huge, unnecessary very bad attitude towards young mums!. My own daughter was reduced to tears when only simply asking to change her sons nappy in the baby changing unit, this was a few weeks ago. We rang head office whom appoligised and said they will have a word as I was not the first to complain. Today when in asda the same short, Asian lady ( whom shouted at this young couple with there son that she was the manager) as if she was on some kind of reality tv show!. She then went on to embarrass this poor couple, calling the young mother a batch and screamed for them to and I quote " leave HER store! " all because this young mum refused to chamge her son next to the tills infront of everybody! Her exact words were he doesn't understand!. This young couple was put through so much unnecessary stress just for asking to use the baby changing unit that is provided. This manager has no place in such a roll, head quarters a lovely man called Danny said he would have a word but these words do not seem to have any effect, she is clearly comfortable as she has clearly got away with this bad behaviour for far too long. This is not just the only lady that has this awful mindset towards these young parents, there is also another much older lady that also says she's a manager that seems to play some kind of tag team like attitude with her staff members. It's such a shame as my intire family used to enjoy shopping here, it only takes a few to ruin it for everyone. If your that worried about babies and toddlers having to be changed in your facilities and use it as an opportunity to embarrass parents when they ask, then why even have them in the first place?.

Order expected between 4pm-5pm. No communication to inform me of late arrival. I called numerous times to ask where my shopping was. Each time, I was told it would be with me within the hour. I was then told by the store (home order manager) my order was leaving the shop and, again, will be with me within an hour. An hour goes by, still no delivery. I call again, to be told its only just leaving the store due to packing issues (again, I had to contact them to find out this information). Gone 9pm- still no delivery. Was told the van had broken down. Requested a full refund and told I would receive an email confirmation of this- not received! The following day, I received an email to confirm that my order had been delivered! No items were delivered and money taken from account! Useless- no communication to let me know there was a delay or what was happening. 4-5 hours later- no shopping. Called again to request full refund. Call centre operatives showed no understanding or consideration. Has completely put me off online food shopping!

Medium sized supermarket. Parking underneath the building so access can be without getting wet if it rains. The under car park does get full at busy times.. An escalator to access, and a lift. Another access door from the road side. A clothes selection. A shoe repair store inside too. Toilets available. A bakery. Sadly they've replaced loads of check outs with self serve. These arnt your standard self serve they're the larger ones for the whole trolley. And it takes AGES !! If you have an issue with an item or the weight, then good luck waiting for a staff member to help you. On visiting on a Saturday at 6pm there were only two actual humans serving, the rest is self serve. It just adds time to a big shop, and is quite frankly off putting when you have a massive trolley full.

Absolutely diabolical experience. Don't visit unless you have plenty of time and want to do their work for them. Visited and having managed to get home shoppers to move and stop blocking shelves got to tills to find no till open, only self scan. These self scan tills are not meant for a full size trolley weekly shop. There is insufficient space to unload and bag a full trolley whilst still having items in the trolley to unload. Only after starting to scan and bag did one of the numerous staff stood around gossiping finally offer to open a till. Once complete went to customer servics to complain to a manager, the member of staff stood with back to counter talking to a colleague and ignored me for several minutes. Customers obviously come a long way down their priorities, never visiting again as if I did I may wel be asked to unpack warehouse and stack shelves as clearly staff and management have better things to do

Terrible service in store today. Popped in this afternoon and by chance found a cheap cutlery set (only wanted cheap forks for packed lunches etc.) - found a very basic set of knives, forks and spoons reduced from £8 to £6 on the shelf price tag. Scanned at the self checkout and came up at the original price of £8. It had already been a painful experience - having to wait several times for the (very slow) assistant to come and over-ride the system. He came over again and took the item away (to check with someone else I guess). By the time he came back I'd paid for the rest of my shopping and was ready to leave. He said they'd honour the shelf price and he put it through the till - again it came up at £8. He tried to alter the price several times and failed - it was still coming up at £8. I told him not to worry, I wasn't that bothered about buying them - he said 'no, you want the items so I'll sort it'. He tried a couple more times without success. Again I said don't worry at which time he slammed the items down on the side of the till and went off in a huff - with the rest of the queue watching. Totally unprofessional, very unhelpful, extremely rude and very embarrassing. Needless to say I will not be visiting Asda in Rushden again.

What an absolute joke Asda in Rushden is this afternoon. The fun fair is in the park opposite and everyone going there is using Asda car park. I went to do my weekly shop and it took me 22 mins to get out the car park. Not exactly ideal as it was quite humid and I had frozen items in my bags. Needless to say, some had partially defrosted by the time I escaped the car park meaning a waste of food and money. I asked a member of staff if someone should be trying to sort the gridlocked and over flowing car park and I was told "sorry, there's nothing we can do". I would therefore like to draw Asda's attention to the signs in their car park which states it's for customers only so why are they unable to do anything? The same signs also states that failire to comply will result in a £70 fine. Think of the money you could be making there as well as keeping your regular customers happy. Totally ridiculous and very bad/rubbish attitude by Adsa management. If your car park is for customers only, enforce that and don't leave regular customers stuck in a car park for almost 25 mins when all they wanted to do is go shopping after long shift at work.

Not impressed at all as it’s such an odd policy when the new plastic notes and coins where changed for the good reasons etc. Not everyone is a criminal and giving away fake money as I checked the coins and they where 100% authentic. Won’t be asking for change there again. But the policy needs to be changed as it’s important for people if they need notes or change for certain reasons but oh well. Normally I'm a big fan of ASDA but during these trying times where funds are limited due to lockdown and some families are grieving, i find it in bad taste that the chain has chosen to be less than clear in representing a service. I'm referring to the "Kids eat free meals" project for the month of December 2020. Terms and Conditions for this deal clearly states no purchases necessary. Unfortunately, ASDA's on-site staff (Corby & Rushden) require purchases which is contradictory to the deal. ASDA needs to be honest and clear that the meals are ONLY free on adults purchasing something. Surprising customers right infront of their kids and the general public by stating they now have to make a purchase is unethical to say the least. Please address this issue in all ASDA branches so people don't begin to look at ASDA as an uncouth organisation.

This is probably the best supermarket in the centre of town. Quite a lot of choice in the non food section, such as George - great for clothes and shoes, as well as a good range of soft furnishings, cups and crockery, as well as electricals. Food has improved. Used to be half empty shelves, but now well stocked with a good choice. Fruit and veg also offer a good variety. Some staff are really helpful and happy to help, while there are one or two who clearly don't want to be there. Free parking downstairs. Since lockdown I have shopped at various places in the local area depending on where I am at the time. I found each supermarket has a slightly different way of doing things with social distancing. Heaven forbid in Asda you stand slightly in the wrong place at the tills you are spoken to by their check out ladies like you are a child being told off. I wouldn't mind but we were wearing masks to make others feel a little more at ease in these trying times. The joke of it is when their self service tills go wrong which they did several times while we were there the staff have to stand right near the customer so where is the social distancing at these points? I noticed they finally had the common sense to move the food bank trolley near the door so it is actually visible for donations. I will say the younger staff are generally more helpful. Personally I won't be rushing back overall there are other supermarkets not so very far away where the staff understand the meaning of customer service.

Updated review as it's slid alot selves are bare trollies all over the car park and no baskets or self service guns available when needed. Staff are great so would seem management needs to get it together. Nice pair of cats own the car park which is the stores highlight.

Asda Rushden 1/1/2020...Wasn't very happy about all the food waste. The manager wasn't willing to reduce any meats (dice beef, Lamb legs, Pork chops) et... Such a shame Asda.

The 2 stars are for the clothes and cafe as they are good value but the groceries and online food shopping for click&collect/delivery is horrendous. Every time I get produce close to it's use by date but today was the last time I will ever order from asda again. A mouldy rotten apple was delivered to me which contaminated the whole bag with rotten apple juices and caused other apples to start to rot, I then found furry mould INSIDE a 'fresh' red pepper. Never again..

I like shopping here, I like the self service aspects though if I'm doing most of the work myself things could be cheaper!!

Abysmal service! I went after school with my two small children (4 and 7) and I asked for them to use the bathroom. They helpfully told me that I was welcome to leave their store, where I was shopping, and go to the KFC, which I was not. A grocery without a bathroom for your kids, had to leave my wife to rush off with the kids for another bathroom.

I came to Asda Cafe for lunch today around 1pm, with my husband and grandchildren. l collapsed due to minor ailments, low BP, dehydration , etc. I was so well looked after especially from your Supervisor Kieran and Alexia , an office manager . Thankyou so much for everyone's kindness. R and best wishes Gill Hughes , a regular customer from Rushden

OUt of stock quiet a lot, shelves empty selling salads to near end of the the time and also on the meat section. Asda is fairly cheaper than most places including lidles who are more expensive in meat and bread ive noticed also some things cannot get in lidle but can get in Asda. Asda has no deli so cannot purchase fresh ham or other fresh items in that dept, although they have a fresh fish counter, they have a pizza counter but not very good for promoting healthy eating, fresh deli would be better as there is not as many people eating pizzas as customers who would prefer eating fresh ham and turkey etc. Asda could be loosing a lot of money in this section. Staff are friendly when you can find one and are helpful. I have read other reviews on here and found that some customers are happy with the choice available depends of what type of shopper you are there is plenty of biscuits and confectionery items they are stocked to the brim and also baby clothes and ready meals and tat home furnishings and tat garden wear. Some of the clientele that go to that supermarket to shop are low life, who dispose of their babies nappies in the Asda car park not nice for the attendants who have to go around and clear it up, also left over food thrown on the parking lots.

I visited the store on Monday and a lovely young man helped me out around the chilled area. The young man showed me various products and what was better for my money. I believe his name was Dylan but I am not too sure. Thank you

Mostly good for shopping but last Thursday some shelves were very messy and empty because of ,I think, online shoppers get priority, also nearly all fruit is packaged and I hate this. What about Asda's pledge cutting down on plastic?Itsabout time something was done about this.
