The place has gone so far downhill it's in the grave. Every table was filthy. There's bus tubs of dirty plates resting on the highchairs and dirty plates stacked on the clean cutlery. The staff are rude and unenthusiastic. I'm assuming there's no long an area manager doing random checks or CQs because it would fail miserably. I understand labour cuts but it's a quiet Friday afternoon and utterly disgusting. Once upon a time the management and staff took pride in the place- I used to be one! Sort it out.

Sunday lunchtime staff were not very happy about having to work for a living stood for 10 mins waiting to be seen and it wasn't very busy to be honest. When the barmaid says "if ppl are complaining about been served tell them to f off"

Just back from excellent experience today.Sat outside at front ,non smoking .had 3 pints of Marstons Old Empire with a freedom breakfast{on offer}Ale was spot on ,food hot and plate warm . The breakfast was 2 hash brown,2 bacon,2 fried egg,x2 half tomato ,mushrooms and baked beans. Total cost £9.75 Its not about price but quality

This Wetherspoons facility seemed quite busy, initially waited in a queue to order food but service was very slow with only 2 staff serving. Instead used app to order and it took 15 minutes for food to arrive with slightly longer for the drinks. Had the char grilled half chicken which was quite nice but a bit dry, my wife had BBQ smothered chicken which she said was tasty. Accompanying jacket potatoes were slightly overcooked but OK. Later on ordered desserts and coffee and had finished one cup of coffee before desserts (cold) had arrived after another 15 minute wait.

Lovely pub and very welcoming staff Always pop in when up that way.was early this day. Bit quiet Hubby liked the guinness that a bonus 😋 Will be back

We had a Great Afternoon their on Tuesday 4th June while in Billericay meeting up with Friends. The Manageress was so welcoming as she was when we visited a Year ago, and She also remembered us. Superb Pub, Excellent Beer and Great Atmosphere.

A proper old school pub where I often go for a catch up with friends where we can actually hear each other talking😊 Sue and Lance are fabulous hosts as landlords. Highly recommend 😊

Absolutely disgusting cesspit! Left skin crawling, needed to shower and put clothes straight in washing machine as soon as got home. Sat in something wet which smelt like a toilet. Tables overspilling with plates, rubbish all over floor. Despite asking waitress never showed to wipe filthy table. Will never return here. Worst weatherspoons ever been to. Place needs condemning!

Last night at The Railway pub in Billericay I was asked to leave the premises and told i wasn’t welcomed by the landlord. When I questioned why, the Landlord alleged that I had been caught on CCTV damaging the toilets. Completely flummoxed I politely asked to see the recording but was told this would not be possible and ushered out of the pub. Friends also questioned the landlord about his allegations and actions against me. Landlord eventually let one person to watch the CCTV recording, I went for a wee, walked out the cubicle, washed my hands and left the toilet. Truth is I never caused any damage to the toilet. Landlord was seeking a different reaction, giving him an excuse to kick me out Landlord caved into pressure of showing the recordings after friends courageously called him out. After being what could be seen as racial profiling. Madness experience.

One of our party was kicked out for no other reason than his skin colour Tried using an excuse of destroying the toilet reviewed cctv to show he had toilet paper stuck to his shoe and he kicked it off Highly disappointed these things still go on in this day and age

Not great, 5 people on one order. There was 25 minutes between the first meal being served and the last one coming out. The drinks were just plonked on the table, not a word from the waiter. No condiments available. When I asked the waitress "huffed" and said "I suppose I better get some" it's just too much trouble

Had a fantastic meal at this Wetherspoons - a new one for us. The environment was bright, clean and welcoming and the food was the usual superb value. The beer was particularly good. The service was quick which was ideal for us as we hadn’t much time. Unfortunately our pleasure was marred by the yobs of Rushden, who (during the hour we were parked in the nearby Duck Street carpark), vandalised our car causing hundreds of £ worth of damage. This totally spoilt our evening and unfortunately means that we won’t be revisiting the Railway Inn (sorry Wetherspoons but we can’t afford to take the risk again!) nor would we return to Rushden for any other reason!

Typical Wetherspoons experience, and nothing wrong with that. Reasonably priced beer and food ensuring the place was busy. One slight niggle, what the heck are you doing hiding the photograph of Joe Ekins behind the gambling machines??? Sort it out. The bloke's a hero.

I visited the pub with my friends and ordered breakfast. My breakfast didn't come to the table and followed up. The manager told me all meals were delivered to the table. The level of service is shocking and totally unacceptable. Very unprofessional manager.

Breakfast was Luke warm when it arrived and by the time I had finished was cold. I can only assume this is because it was sat there underneath a hot lamp or somewhere in the kitchen. Spoons is generally good but on this occasion the railway inn in Rushden failed.

Haven't been here for years and decided to visit for a business lunch. The place is clean and tidy,tables clean and wiped menus. I ordered via the qr code and food was delivered quite quickly,had two american.burgers & chips,best chips I've had for a long time,nice & fluffy inside. Fantastic burger washed down with a fizzy rhubarb drink,both meals,drinks came to £12 excellent value ! The staff are very polite & friendly and i will return again.

Me and friend popped in for food. We don't usually eat at Spoons as there are better pubs to eat at in town but I must say we were both very happy with our food. I had the steak, it tasted great and was cooked perfect. I would come back to eat again

Went in for a beer after bumping into some friends, staff were very friendly and the pub had a good vibe.

Went out for lunch with my friends at The Railway Inn and I’m sorry to say that our experience wasn’t that good. Our food was served without any cutlery, until we were given them and we saw that they were a bit dirty. The atmosphere was welcoming and the food was good, but the service wasn’t that brilliant.

Not been to The Railway since lockdown 2 years ago. OMG when did it become so bad? I remember when it opened and there was a dress standard,and unruly elements were asked to leave. Now it’s feral kids running around, Waynetta’s downing pints, gold tracksuits several sizes too small. Shirtless youths of questionable ages to be drinking. As for little Tommy the 4 year old climbing on everything whilst his mother and grandmother were oblivious to his existence……. An accident waiting to happen. Food was ok and service reasonable, but staff seemed powerless or disinterested in the Chav element disrupting others. The ground floor accessible toilets which are equipped with RADAR locks were left unlocked. I actually wouldn’t use them because the aforementioned teenage elements were in and out of there regularly. I can only assume that they all needed to uses the toilet very regularly! They certainly looked happier when they came out.

Amazing shop, fruit plants vegetables much more and a case of wine 20pounds. Perfect

After not going to this spoons for more than a yr. I was happy to find great staff, helpful and efficient. It was getting quite busy but the 3 ladies kept it running smoothly. The coffee machine was quickly sorted when the milk ran out. The lady working the floor is a little diamond and I hope she gets the recognition she deserves. My sister and I enjoyed our lunch and I am looking forward to our next visit.

A joke of a service and I vow never to come here after the other week. The duty manager needs to improve her attitude towards customers. I complained about how long I was waiting for food she shrugged her shoulders at me and told me they sent it to my table. Stay away from here if you don’t want to be ripped off.

Rude staff swearing at customers think they need to find a new job and manager needs a new team badly

Will keep this short. Had a beefburger and chips and my daughter had a pasta dish and my partner had a pizza. Can't go wrong with their pizzas although toppings were missing. Pasta was slimy and tasted bad. As for my burger! Well it should never have been served. I work in the food industry and never would I have served that to my customers. As we were in a hurry and the bar was busy, I didn't go and approach the manager. We were not asked if our food was OK either. So I left most of it. I emailed wetherspoons directly because I know how important it is to try and resolve matters directly rather than on here! I got an automated response saying they keep their standards high but will have a word with the staff! Basically they couldn't care less. Not even an offer of a free drink or part of my money back. They would like me to not be put off going back there! But no.... I won't be going back there. The customers that were in that day were vulgar and the amount of loud swear words that were used was unreasonable and should have been dealt with.

I have been here many times over the last few years and although on odd occasions I have had a few difficulties, like cold beans etc it’s always been decent and there always quick to put right any mistakes, for the prices they charge its a good deal and with the new app I don’t even have to leave the table to order could not be simpler.Will defo keep coming

This place is absolutely filthy and the attitude of the bar staff is the rudest I've encountered. They can't seem to grasp the basics of bar tendering as in serving people who have just walked in rather than people waiting. No wine glasses so served wine in a half pint glass! Attitude of girl with short bleached hair was shocking. If I could give this no stars I would.

Its edible. That's about it. Generally very grubby in there. Service never very friendly. Their fry up is cheap but very rubbery. If you want a very cheap meal and a drink then it's worth a visit. Otherwise for a little more theres loads of better alternatives.

What an utter disappointment! We ordered 2x 8" pizzas and a garlic pizza bread with cheese. The pizza bread was like edible cardboard and I can only imagine the lack of cheese was down to the fact it was so cold it had shivered its way off!! Hoping for a little better and looking forward to something nice, I tried to order apple crumble and custard only to be told that custard was 'out of stock'. Out. Of. Stock. At just gone 4.30pm! Really? It's a Thursday afternoon and something as simple as custard is out of stock! Go to Asda or Sainsbury or Lidl or Tesco and buy a tin (it's not like it's not out of a blooming tin and microwaved to death anyway) - they're all within walking distance!! I know in the great scheme of things, my paltry twenty quid bill is nothing but it was my birthday and my son paid.Let down, really, really let down.

Terrible service. Terrible food. Bad attitude of the staff Microwaved muck is the best phrase I can come up with for this rubbish. Staff are lazy behind the bar being too busy chatting instead of serving.

I'll go there every time I'm in town and hungry. It's a Weatherspoons which makes cheap and inexpensive food for walk in customers.

We always seem to run into family when we pop in here. It is such good value.well worth a visit. An added bonus that the drinks are such a reasonable price.

This was our first visit to this Weatherspoons outlet and we were not disappointed at all , it was prime time on a fri night and we still got a table ok .

Breakfast is great as always, service is good. Plenty of tables free. The choice is wide and varied.

Surroundings are clean enough and there is plenty of seating. The menu is limited although they do have a GF menu apposed to the dreaded allergen folder some pubs still present you with. The food is passable for the price and drinks are cheap.

Under £20:00 for 3 meals and a drink. I had a Jalfrezi as good as an Indian. All ways enjoyable food. Not high cuisine but honest food. Great range of beers. Nice crumble. Service friendly and efficient. Decor a little tired but you cannot have everything.

This is a chain pub in a town centre with the feel of a friendly local. Staff are friendly and efficicient. Tables cleared frequently and food excellent value.

Arrived at 11.45 for a breakfast, spent 12mins trying to get their app to work, at 11.58 gave up and went to bar to order. Member of staff refused to serve breakfast as too close to 12oclock cut off for breakfast orders, no apology for problem with app. Very disappointed with their attitude so walked out and went elsewhere. Won’t go there again.

Terrible service from ignorant and extremely rude bar staff. Every single time I’ve visited there it’s been the same. Rude bar staff ( I’m NOT your mate or love) that is IF you can catch their eye. Ordinarily about four or five staff ‘working’ but only one ACTUALLY serving you despite a big queue. After you’ve finally been served and you order the microwaved food it is cold. I honestly despair

Very pleased with family meal, we were a family group of 9 with age range of 3 to 65 and all had an enjoyable experience.

The American breakfast is fantastic. Topped of with free refill tea. This place is always busy which is a sign of how good it is. Some of the chairs need replacing in the restaurant area. Good service great food.

Last night My boyfriend and I was with my brother and his wife who has a disability we only had a couple of drinks when the pub asked us to leave they didn’t give us any reson beware of this pub

Even though it can be very busy staff are always polite, there is a great atmosphere, good value and nice food.

My husband and I pop in to this Wetherspoons now and again for a cheap and cheerful lunch. Despite the prices the food is always very nice. Would recommend if you’d like to both eat a main meal, with drinks for under £15. It’s not the cleanest place to eat but bearable.

Always a nice treat for us to pop in and be a little lazy rather than pop the oven on at home...
