Friendly staff and excellent quality food for very reasonable prices. The vegetarian and mushroom pizzas were top drawer.

I visited these tearooms with my daughters on Friday 24th May. I have been to other tea shops in Bakewell, but Toscas is by far the best. We had afternoon tea for three of us, we sat outside in the court yard. The afternoon tea arrived and there was lots of lovely cake and sandwiches, beautifully presented, and our host friendly and gave us a warm welcome. We really enjoyed our afternoon tea, very civilised, we will defiantly be visiting again. In fact we will have a day out to bakewell just to visit Toscas .

Now known as Habib's and under new management, Cromford's No. 2 chippy is working hard to win custom from the long-setablished rival across the road. The offering has broadened to include kebabs and panini/pizzas - though we've found that not everything on the menu is available all the time... Generous portions, well fried fish and chips, good standard of cleanliness, seating outside and inside. Slightly more expensive than the ultra-competitive chippies along the road in Matlock Bath but a good local chippy.

The bird café was very cute! We sat in the window and they had stuck feeders onto them so all the birds landed right at our table. There were several bird books on our table to help identify them. The food was very nice, we had sausage sandwiches. The atmosphere was amazing and we really liked the little farm shop and garden centre.

Stopped for lunch on a Saturday. Pub was very quiet, two tables taken in the main bar, we were told that the other tables were reserved, so had to sit in the rather gloomy back room. Told that food could only be served outside on the patio (due to staff shortages), which is close to the busy A515, no food service on the other quieter area away from the road. When we left there were no customers on the reserved tables in the main bar. Food was good and quick service.

First time visiting, I went because it said dogs welcome so me and my little dog went. It’s a community restaurant I think, so don’t expect swanky surroundings, but it’s a beautiful building inside, and lovely staff. I had the big full English. Two sausages, two slices of bacon, black pudding, gorgeous mushrooms, hash brown, baked beans, two perfectly cooked fried eggs, and buttery toast. That and a fancy coffee , £12.50. Best full English I have eaten in a long time.

Delightful location, gardens are lovely and impressive views of surrounding countryside. Fresh craft beer, good quality food. New staff member Reuben served us and was friendly but professional. Decent portions and prices reasonable for the overall set up. Only slightly odd aspect is we were originally told that there was no availability. But this was perhaps an hour before the place filled up. In the end, after enjoying our drinks for half an hour, we were told that the chef could squeeze us in.

So I haven’t actually gotten my food yet but, I ordered through Uber eats and because the restaurant delivers it themselves it does let you track the order as you normally would so I decided to call, and even though it was only maybe a 5 minute call the person I spoke too (I didn’t catch the name) was absolutely amazing with me, I often go through brain fart moments where I just lose complete track of thought, and I am also autistic so I really struggle talking to people anyway as I get really nervous, but they gave me my chance to think about what I was saying and was patient with me, and helped me with what I needed, and I appreciate it so much, like I isad I haven’t got the food yet as this was only 5 minutes ago but I can already tell it’s going to be great, to whoever you are thankyou so much, I know you probably don’t think you did a lot but from my past experiences having to call restaurants being so horrible with them talking back to me like I’m stupid you honestly made it easier, if anyone is reading this wondering if you should order from here my opinion is yes simply from the great customer service! Again thankyou!

We came here just before setting out on a walk around Youlgreave. We ordered two coffees, paid, receieved the drinks, and then made our way to the patio/seating area at the rear. After finding a nice table towards the back, a member of staff appeared abruptly and called us out, stating loudly in front of other patrons that we had 'only purchased' takeaway coffees, and that to sit within the patio area was on a completely different 'system' and pricing schedule that we hadn't paid for, and that we had to leave the premises immediately. This was not communicated nor made evident that such a system was in place when we ordered. The angry attitude of the staff member, and the immediate escalation seemingly out of nowhere surprised me and took me aback as I'm a gentle natured person, and I would also never intend to steal. We were made to feel like criminals, subject to humiliation in front of other people. Therefore, we complied with the lady's instructions and left. Bearing the above in mind; we had paid £7+ for the coffees. Is this not enough to warrant consumption on a metal patio table and chair outside, not harming anybody? And if not, could it not have been communicated upfront or in a nicer way? I am a Derbyshire lad and would advise anyone visiting Youlgreave not to buy anything from here and to go to one of the other cafe's in Youlgreave if you are wanting coffee, tea, sandwiches, or a meal. There are plenty that aren't aggressive like this and that would appreciate the business. Next time I will make my own coffee and will never spend hard earned money at this business again.

What a find! We have been to Matlock Bath a few times over the years, and whilst we’re not a million miles away, there was nothing really pulling us back there. We’d go for lunch as a family, or I’d ride my motorbike over for a coffee, but sometimes it’s a bit busy and hard to get seated comfortably and nowhere really that made you feel welcome. Outkast Company absolutely changed that. Not only was I made up as a biker to find a proper bike destination, but taking the kids somewhere that they are actually welcomed and treated as if they are present. The place was busy with every seat filled and there were people standing and enjoying a good chat too. The atmosphere was buzzing. Despite all that a couple of guys (customers) cleared a table for us and stood so we could sit down and eat, the owner welcomed the kids and introduced himself, as did a lady working there. The sense of community as a biker made me feel kind of proud that places like this still exist, but as a family man, I can’t remember the last time anywhere gave us a genuine welcome. The food is great value and those with a sweet tooth can forget going anywhere else. The coffee is insanely good too. If that’s not all, they even have their own beer which I took a bottle away and now I have to go back and get more! The food is hearty, fresh and delicious. For what you get, the prices are cheap compared to everywhere else in Matlock Bath. I genuinely can’t say there is another place that I can think of where all of this lives under one roof. There were a lot of small groups of bikers and a few couples that came and went. A massive mix of a crowd clearly enjoy coming here so the place obviously has a great reputation. It sounds a bit extreme but in this day and age it’s hard to find a genuine atmosphere rather than the usual places you go were everybody sits separately and doesn’t engage with anyone. You must pay a visit when in town, particularly if you ride. Avoid the usual struggle to park your bike to be rewarded with expensive fish and chips, come here instead.

Top place we went to on our trip to sheffield and around. Chose it as it was dog friendly and so so glad came here. The setting was beautiful. The music chilled and relaxing. Service was excellent- thanks Oli. And the breakfast fabulous. We had smashed avocado and poached eggs on sourdough, the pancake stack with biscoff sauce you just want to keep eating, the fully loaded hot chocolate and great cappuccinos. And even the glass of water was served elegantly!! A must try place for breakfast before you tackle those hills!!

Truly unique experience, food was fantastic and fresh. This is a one woman show, where the food comes ahead of everything. We had salad to start, a brilliant pizza each and home made ice cream to finish. Everything so tasty and good value for money. It reminds me of some of the best street food from Asian but pizza in the UK. When booking leave a message and the owner will get back to you.
