The best restaurants in Shepshed West Charnwood East Midlands

My mum and myself went here today using a cream tea Groupon voucher. We were hungry so started with a sandwich and panini and these were lovely. Then we had our scones with jam and cream, along with our pot of tea. My mum commented that they were the nicest tasting scones she'd eaten! They were large too, which was nice 😊 The cream was Gorgeous too!! The tea rooms are very different, but really relaxing. You must nip to the loo and see the tree in the shower 🤣 Lots of lovely little gifts to buy too. We both really enjoyed it and would definitely visit again, in fact I think my partner has bought a Groupon voucher too.

I've used these for many years always been great food that is not the reason for the 1 star, last time we ordered they rang back to change all the deserts as they only had white chocolate cookie dough, the man I spoke to was reasonable and said he would sort something out for us when we next ordered , rang tonight to be told the man I spoke to was unavailable and what he meant was next time they will all be in stock? Also on my 9th order and still no 25% off like stated on their website (1st and 6th order 25% off)

Fabulous! From greeting, cleanliness and food quality. Could not have asked for more. We had several different dishes off the main menu as there were five of us. Each dish was beautifully presented and tasted great.

I had a biryani King prawn it was nothing like a biryani at all. There was two king prawns and they had been chopped up. It was £11.90. What a rip off we had a takeaway delivered to our home and our Friend meals were okay the biryani was an absolute joke, it’s a shame really because we’ve been before and it was really nice but too king prawns chopped up come on

I was just browsing through uber and thought let me give Chocolatte a try. I eat out quite a lot and let me tell you I’ll be coming here to get my desserts from now on. Milkshake/ Dutch Pancakes / San Sebastián Cheesecake/ Stick waffles (kinder) all 10/10. Also I tried their food and that was a 10/10 as well (tried their burger and waffle fries).

The restaurant was very quiet for a Friday evening. It lacked atmosphere and the whole experience was mediocre. The menu is very small too.

I love this place. I don't know how they did it, but this place manages to give their diners the true feeling of a Greek taverna. The food is excellent value and the portions are big. It gets my highest recommendation.

I ordered from these for the first time today and the food was lovely and fresh. They even sent me two free calendars one for me and the staff at my care home and also two free fortune cookies. Thank you I will definitely order from you again soon.

Food is brilliant! Such a good restaurant but the takeaway side is awful. If you order in their app and it says an hour….itcan be 20 minutes or 2 hours! Ordered tonight, missing two paid items and 2 hours late. We had to re-heat some of the food whilst the missing part was delivered

Visiting family. I heard they pull a great Ale, definitely lived up to the hype. Clear clean Ale.

“Yam Sing”? More Like “Yam Sigh” The name Yam Sing is meant to evoke cheers and celebration—but my experience felt more like a bad sitcom than a toast to victory. I ordered via their app, paid, and got a confirmation. Everything seemed fine until I arrived at the restaurant, only to be greeted by a staff member who acted like I’d just crashed their family reunion. Apparently, my order was “cancelled”—news to me, considering I had proof of the order right on my phone. What followed was a masterclass in customer service gone wrong. The staff member’s tone was as sharp as a wok spatula, and their “apology” had all the sincerity of a fortune cookie cliché. Despite my efforts to explain, the hostility continued. If Yam Sing means “Cheers,” then they need to check their own recipe, because this experience was anything but celebratory. If you want to be treated rudely, visit the Yam Sing—it seems to be their specialty.

The American burger. Blows the socks of MacDonalds and Burger King. Juicy burger soft fresh tasty bun and lashings of perfectly fried delicious onions. Truly the best burger.
