Ordered a delivery. Arrived late, food was cold. Food was very poor quality. Not authentic food - could have got better from Farmfoods. Rang and complained and got offered 50% discount off NEXT order!!! What about THIS order??? Like I'm going to order again! Very poor.

awful place! please avoid at all costs we had to wait over 1 hour and 20 min for a PICK UP ORDER!! no offer of compensation or apology. other food has been spoilt due to delay in cooking.

just called in for a treat to take home. very generous portions and great flavour to the spinach m spud meal. a classic Indian dish sag aloo. the restaurant was busy and I had to return. why? I left my phone in my rush to return home! friendly staff had put my phone in safe keeping. hope to return with my wife to give her a full evening meal treat during Ramadhan.

Abit hit & miss, had food delivered to us which is nice food but just luke warm sometimes even cold, every time you ring to chase the order after been given a time there waiting on drivers to distribute the food, told 1 hour 20 mins, took 1 hour 50 mins, previously had to wait longer, id rather the honesty that way I can order earlier or not bother at all, rather than take the money, forgot stuff and get told to mention it in the next order as can’t give a time on the item to be delivered, so abit poor on a mistake that we have to suffer for after paying, restaurant is 5*, delivery and service quite poor, not the first time either now. Probably won’t bother again with them very frustrating & i wouldn’t recommend anymore now.

Pre ordered at 4.30pm, 7pm still not arrived given we are literally 5 minutes down the road. Not great service, always takes excessive time when ever we order. Only ordered 3 dishes too! Food is good sadly massively let down by delivery times and not for the first time.

Always a fabulous place to visit, as a couple, with family, or as a group of friends. Ripon and Miah always recognise us and warmly welcome us - they even remember which is our favourite table and what dishes we’ve had lately - such an excellent personal service. The food is always fantastic and friends will comment it’s the best curry they’ve had. The only star I’ve dropped is for atmosphere because it can be a little bright in the evening for a “date night” and if dimmers were added it would be perfect - but that’s just our personal preference. Cannot rate highly enough. It’s our go to restaurant for a weekly night out, or a special occasion.

On the two previous occasions, we have had a very good delivery and food experience. However, this time, it was very disappointing. It was a Saturday evening and so we accepted the quoted delivery time of 60 to 70 minutes. After 85 minutes the food arrived, but we discovered there was no scampi with the order of “scampi, chips and salad”. The Vegetable Balti was only warm, and the onion slices too large and undercooked. The Onion Bharji and Saag Bhaji were nice, but overall the food was inferior to previous times, including the Tandoori King Prawn Main.

Went in and ordered to go. The little service I had was amazing, and the food was ready promptly. Was an amazing and filling meal for a good price, and to top it off, there was a 10% discount for ordering at the restaurant to go! If you're looking for a great Indian/Bangladeshi meal to take home in Shespshed, I would 1000% recommend the spice lounge. Am looking forward to going again and having a meal inside the restaurant next time!

We ordered a takeaway from here. We have nothing but praise for The Spice Lounge, from ordering the food by phone, to the estimated delivery time, which was accurate. The food was hot and everything tasted delicious, thoroughly enjoyed by us all. 10/10 would definitely recommend and when we visit this area again, we know who to order from.

Great dinner out at Spice Lounge..Table for four tonight, took our own alcoholic drinks. . so already not an expensive night out (glass of ice and one of lemonade for the mixers was brought to the table). Cheerful welcome and relaxing atmosphere, sure we'll keep coming back :) Back again..Definitely a good night tonight. Spice Lounge was packed. Food came in good time, couple of birthdays so everyone sang along. A good atmosphere all night. Happy days:)

takeaway ,food not very good ,in fact not brilliant,,mixed grill was a joke, just a few bits all , a soggy mess ,not worth £10 and small portions ,other stuff rubbish ,the only nice thing was the veg rice,i ve had better,,not impressed with the service, it came 20 mins early ,i will try somewhere else next time, its very expensive for what you get,,,i wouldn't recommend a takeaway from here

Just on the zebra crossing in Shepshed and I had to stop halfway across as their driver made no attempt to stop. I challenged him down Halcroft and got a couldn’t care less attitude. No more curries for us from here. Appalling driving and terrible attitude.

I only ever ordered from this restaurant. But over the last year the service have gone down hill. My order tonight was late yet again and stone cold!! Will never order again

Had a take away, food was cold so had 2 warm it up in the microwave ( could of brought 1 from Asda) curry wasn’t what we ordered as supposed 2 b with peppers but none, 4 got part of our order but it did arrive 10 mins later, very disappointed

This was my first time trying Spice lounge since moving to Shepshed 18 months ago. It's a little more expensive than others I've tried locally , but it was absolutely worth every penny!! The quality was great, amazing flavours, and piping hot. Thoroughly recommend! I'm already looking forward to my next order!

Absolutely appalling curry delivered. All 4 x curry's were just chicken in a very thin consistency sauce....most ended being thrown away, if it wasn't for the starters , the £70 takeaway would have been a complete disaster. Won't be ordering again

Do NOT order takeaways from this restaurant - First attempt was a new years eve and we waited well over 4 hours for delivery despite pre booking! When we did recieve was an absolute let down! We decided to give this company another go for a Second attempt 11months later Nov22 and we are currently on 1 hour and 40 mins - have rung and they have said on there way........ Appalling customer service and we should never have gone back! Will never use again..... Fingers crossed we get our dinner soon LOL.

I was there very early and therefore alone in the restaurant so can't really comment on atmosphere. Staff were friendly. Food was good. BYO. Lots of takeaways and delivering going on so seems popular locally.

Ordered for delivery tonight. Took nearly 2 hours to receive it. Naan breads had obvously been reheated in microwave. They are now charging £4 for delivery and service charge to an address less than a mile away. Such a shame!

Just had an amazing take away from Spice Lounge, new to the area but used to use Out of India. The food was lovely delivered piping hot, tasted fresh with lots of flavour! Only thing missing is the red dip that goes with popadoms but overall really good takeaway!! Thank you

Sadly my Chicken Tikka. Jalfrezi this evening was very disappointing. Bland and with about 5 pieces or chicken. It had a few big bits of onion and one green pepper.

I read through the reviews below and it appears this is a standard theme. First time we used this place it was fantastic, we tried again last night for delivery and the food was terrible. The dishes were watery and the chicken really tough. Quite clearly on certain days, or before peak delivery times they use frozen pre-made food. It definitely wasn’t freshly cooked. Real shame as with the other major Indian in Shepshed closing they could clean up with a better quality.

If you want exactly what you ordered don't bother as they scam you out of something paid for.very crafty.

A dinner for two turned out a total disaster. Food pre-ordered at 4:30 pm and despite a guaranteed delivery time of 6:30, they came to our door at 7:00 pm. Food was overcooked, overpriced and bland with abysmal portions. Chicken Matras were not spicy at all and the garlic mushroom was a joke (please watch out!) They were also unsurprisingly lukewarm at best and not hot. Shame that Out of India closed down but if the nearly £35 for two dinner was much worse than microwavable M&S curry, it is the last time we will order from you. Have to give one star cos I cannot rate a ZERO!!!

Ordered from here for the first time tonight and was very happy. Had lamb naga, arrived on time and still hot. Was very surprised at how tasty/spicy it was but wasn’t disappointed. Think it will be a new regular takeaway

Thought I would give it a go as I have been disappointed with others in the area. Such a nice surprise, I had a lamb saag and all I can say was it was fresh tasty and overall a fantastic dish, I will definitely be trying again and maybe I have found my go to curry house 😁 UPDDATE: I ordered a lamb chop bhuna last night 28/04/2022 while watching the football and it was epic, large meaty chops in an amazingly thick tasty sauce absolutely banging, I have been using spice lounge now for a few years and not once have I had a bad dish 10/10

Really lovely, tasty food and friendly staff. I've only taken a star off because it took a long time to get our food. The staff did come and tell us it will be another 5-10 minutes, but it was longer than that. However, it didn't take away from our night, which was lovely and I'll certainly return!

Always a wonderful experience. Fresh, tasty and well presented delicious dishes. Eating in is just as great as takeaway and collection.

Lamb tikka main had 5 peices in it , shocking

Recommended by my brother. Advised of an hours wait for delivery which was planned into the evening. Called to enquire as to a delay and told it was en route. Called 20 minutes later and told it was just leaving the kitchen. They did call back and say they were going to deliver it for free but by then we were starving and needed food from elsewhere. They just need to be honest about what they can deliver rather than blagging it. I won’t be using again.

Just had an excellent meal. The food was delicious and plentiful. Infact, it rates as one the best Indian meals ever!!!! The nans were soft and fluffy unlike some I've had from other establishments that were hard, dry and crispy. The staff were great, attentive but "not in your face". Looking forward to a return visit. Highly recommended!!!!!

Dear spice lounge, first time we have used your services,we left raving reviews on just eat because the food was top quality and we thought we found the restaurant we would always order from now on. Yesterday it was a different experience, lamb balti was extremely tough. Chicken jalfresi- the quality of meat was different from our first experience-rubbery. Prawn dish was very good and the rest of the order was still very good quality. But the meat- please live up to the expectations we had from our first order which was awesome.

Absolutely fantastic: the best in the area. All dishes are uniquely flavoured, meat/chicken/prawns great quality and plenty, side dishes equally tasty , even samosa was the best we have tried. Thank you, will always prefer from this place from now on.

Wow!! Had my 1st meal from here and it was absolutely gorgeous!! Mixed kebab starter was perfect! And chicken phall perfect!! Will definitely be using again!

Ordered a mixed balti, advertised to contain, chicken, lamb and prawn, there was chicken in it, 1 piece of lamb that I couldn't eat as it was chewy, and NOT ONE PRAWN!! Popadums didnt taste nice and lime pickle was horrible. Worst Indian takeaway I've had in years!! Total waste of £18.

Pre ordered though just eat for a 6pm delivery and it was delivered at 7.30pm after a phone call to complain. Terrible service and the food was cold on arrival

Usual Bangladeshi fayre with little depth of flavour. Can't cook Paneer to save their lives.

This is my preferred Indian. The staff are lovely and I have never had a bad meal here.

Visited as group of 4 ladies celebrating February birthdays. It was our first visit here and we were not disappointed. Service and staff exceptional. The devil is in the detail they say and this eatery ticked all the boxes. Service was quick and service staff very attentive and friendly. Not licenced but plenty of nice glasses if you bring your own. Water free and served in cold stoppered bottles. We had the special 4 courses for £10.75 and the choices were extensive (just no seafood included in this offer). Extensive choice of starters, mains and rice/naans. Could not recommend this place highly enough and will certainly be going back again now we have found this little gem.

Fantastic food and service received by our family tonight .miah added balloons banners confetti letters on the table all for no extra charge . The food was beautiful , the place attractive .the staff friendly poilte and attentive but also gave us our very special privacy to have fun as a family .very clean and great value . Nice for an intimate meal or a family gathering plenty of parking around the back and you can even take your own alcohol .just a very special place that deserves to be noticed . Get down there people .its great .

We have a Christmas works party here last night. The restaurant was really busy and very clean. Staff are really pleasant and attentive and the food was absolutely delicious. Will visit again!

Definately best local curry around. Love the takeaways and sitting in is even better. Went recently for a friends birthday and they were great and very patient considering we were a big group. Food lovely and very reasonable, especially as its bring your own alcohol. Highly recommended.

Monday evening " banquet night" ! You can choose from the normal quite extensive menu (with some exceptions) at a really good price! Food was excellent and beautifully presented. No alcoholic drinks served, but you can take your own. All in all I would definitely recommend.

Visited today with family had a pleasant evening. Food fabulous and buzzing with flavours. Very attentive staff ( thank you ripon) Compliments to the chef and all the team. Highly recommend.

Probably the most delicious chicken tikka Shashlik I've ever had! Portions huge, everything fresh and great accompaniments.

Awful, chicken tikka masala was so sweet I couldn't eat it, it was like a corma Basically baby food with 5 huge reformed chicken cubes. Chicken bhuna was also really sweet. Forgot part of the order and didn't answer the phone after! First time I have left a bad review for anything but this is truly justified.

Great food. The Vindaloo sauce is nice and spicy and the Madras was lovely too.

We visited this local restaurant recently. It was very pleasant and quiet for a Monday evening. We loved the food lots to choose from. We had good table service the food was well presented and tasty. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We will be back.

Just had a Chicken Tikka Razala which should be quite spicy. This was far from being any where near spicy. It was bland and did not have any spice.... I cannot believe this place is called the Spice lounge when it is soo bland

Just had my son's and husband's birthday meal there. As always the chef's did a brilliant job. We had a great meal, good service, but not rushed in anyway, They will always accommodate peoples individual preferences, and advise re menu choices.You can take your own cake, balloons etc. no problem Pinda, Luben and Afsar, alway give you a warm welcome and try to make your evening special.

Local Indian restaurant, standard menu but quality of food is excellent and service by management is exceptional Luban was very friendly and ensured my requests where met each time I have visited or ordered take away would highly recommend

Friendly is my first thought about the team here, welcoming is my second.

My mixed kebab starter contained of course Lamb Tikka this was very chewy meat indeed the flavour was good but the meat was poor quality, my mixed seafood curry was also flavoursome but had only two small King Prawns, two small pieces of fish and a small amount of prawns all in all the amount was not enough.

Paid my third visit to this friendly Indian restaurant with a group of friends. Had a very enjoyable evening and the choice of food on the menu was excellent and the food was very good.
