Anstey Balti House in Charnwood

Great little spot for good quality food. My local go to for typical Bangladeshi takeaway that is better than most premium restaurants around the surroundings areas. I am Bangladeshi and I haven't been disappointed. My wife loves the King Prawn Puri starter because they use proper6/8 size king prawns unlike most places.

I don’t know why their ad showing on uber eats. Whenever i tried to order food with this restaurant after waiting for a long its says that it is cancelled the order. I don’t know what happening with the service. Please provide accurate details and food menus. Thankyou

Had our 1st takeaway from here tonight and can honestly say it was probably the best we’ve had. Very hot when delivered, food smelt fantastic and luckily tasted fantastic too. Will definitely be our ‘go to’ Indian restaurant now

Had a meal delivered last night, an hour late and we were looking forward to it. Unfortunately it was tasteless and luke warm… when we called to ask where our food was they told us it was sitting ready for the driver to collect and half an hour later it arrived … we should have cancelled. I presume the chef has changed as last time we had food it had taste to it, we will try somewhere else in the future…

I've been having takeaways delivered from Anstey Balti House for a while now and wow!! the food is always on time in fact most of the time it's slightly early which I don't mind, The food is amazing the price is very reasonable and the service is always great... I ordered my very first biryani this evening and ohhh my it was absolutely fantastic fresh and so tasty. Great work chefs thanks for lovely meal.

When it first opened years ago, the food was amazing. Now....it can be very oily, and not as good quality. Recently though, they have resorted to over-charging, SO BE WARNED !. I ordered the other week....worked the price out, and checked it twice.....it came to the same. I phoned and placed my order....only to be told it was £1 dearer than what I made it ?. On checking again.....I was 100% right and phoned up to query it.....sure enough, the guy on the phone admitted he'd got it wrong !. When the order arrived.....the driver again tried to over charge by 5p this time.......I said no, I had queried it already. On getting the food.....one container hadn't been shut right and had made I leaky mess inside the bag. Sadly, we won't be using them again now......I don't like liars, it must be bad if they are trying to steal extra money from customers.

Been coming here years. Every so often the food is ridiculously spicy (I order the same thing every time). They're not the most friendly and quite often the takeaway is late. Otherwise the food here it beautiful!

Ordered at 7.35 rang to chase after 1hr 10 told driver left 10 minutes ago nann and chips cold at 9.05 Chicken tough and in strips not chucks rang to complain woman not interested never again

Tried ordering via their own website to save them the cut that Justeat take, ordered at 7.20, still waiting at 9.10 and have been told 20 minutes! ridiculous. It's not the first time this has happened either.

Have got to say that firstly, the portions are very good. My Jalfrezi was excellent. Very hot, very flavoursome. I cook a lot of curry from scratch myself, there was NO oil on the top.. the only reason I didn’t give it a 5 is my Mrs thinks the egg fried rice isn’t as good as fusion in Markfield, but that’s her opinion... me personally? I WOULD rate this 5 stars and we will now be using it as our regular. Good discount for collection also.

Never used prior to lock down however Anstey Balti was open for deliveries. We have used them 4 times now and never been dissapointed with quality, flavour and cost (ordering through just eat). Sometimes arrives a bit late but can handle that as different and difficult times. We now have a new local favouirte Indian. Highly reccomend 😁😁😁

Fabulous young man on the telephone took my order. Food was handed over ahead of time, very clean shop and very friendly staff. Excellent price. Food was outstanding in every way. Will definitely be going back. Thanks to the team at Anstey Balti.

Very poor food, delivery was cold, keema naan had very little meat in it, only one quarter. Biryani had no actual chunks of meat just very small pieces. Daal lacked flavour, Tawa had tough lamb and was very salty. Can't believe the 5* reviews on here.... Most of it went in the bin. NEVER USING THIS PLACE AGAIN!

Ordered a takeaway from here at 7 PM had to ring at 8.20 to find out where it was to be told it was out for delivery and would be 10 minutes no apology given. Rang again at 8.40 as no takeaway to be told it was just leaving with the driver again no apology! Asked why I had been told it was already out for delivery and very rudely told it’s because it was still cooking! Not very impressed at all and most definitely will not be using again!!!food finally arrived at 9PM...🙄

Had 3 or 4 takeaways delivered over the past month or so...no disappoitments - hot food, not oily, fresh, complientary popadom per main course and great prices - very impressed!

Just ordered, received and eaten an excellent meal. Ordered for two, could have fed four from the 8 dishes we received. Good value And tasty.

We love the curry from here, the best in Anstey in my view with consistent taste and quality. They also deliver and have a very good menus. We always order their offer for two which is usually enough for three of us. The reason I didn't give it a 5 is that they get the order for bread and rice wrong sometimes!

Very good service. I got my food on time. Food is 10 out of ten. One thing I don't like it that they close 10:30 pm😠😠

Ordered at 5:30 when delivery first opened, waited until past 7pm for food to arrive but nothing came. Spoke to Just Eat who reordered the food after telling us they had tried to ring (no call) and had knocked both at the main door of our building and at our flat door (no they didn't). As stated, we re-did our order and were given another hour wait. I stood outside waiting the entire time to make sure we didn't miss it, no car turned up and no phone call either. Now at nearly 9pm they have only just cancelled our order. Very disappointed as we have ordered from here before and loved the food. Never ordering from here again.

They need to be a bit more organised with the time but the foooood is so good. The chicken jalfrezi, the chicken / chicken tikka biriyani, the korma, the naan, and the lamb bhuna. Ordered food from here many times. Love it!

Ordered for delivery on a Friday night, turned up in the promised hour just about. Good hot food very reasonably priced. Defo return init.

First time customer ordering for Birthday takeaway meal. Ordered at 6:10pm. Chased at 7:40pm as children and adults getting fed up. Told driver had left. 15mins later, called again and told driver just leaving. Food finally delivered at 8:10pm! 2 hours from order time. Missing a food item...........missing food finally delivered once meal had been eaten. Never again.

Have had several really nice meals from here over the last few months. Everything is cooked really well with fresh tasting ingredients. Spice levels are just right, the vegetable jalfrezi is excellent with the lemon rice. Nice staff and they are very reasonably priced as well.

We were travelling from Dorset to Lincoln and ordered a takeaway online whilst en route (super easy, even for a middle-aged first-timer like me!) having seen that this place was just a couple of minutes off the A46. We had chicken achari, tarka daal, sag bhaji, pilau rice and tandoori roti. Everything was absolutely delicious, fresh, fragrant and perfectly cooked. Lovely owners/chef/staff too. It happened to be my birthday - I’m not much into birthdays but this was a million times better than any cake and made the day very happy! Will definitely be stopping here again.

We came a cross this place on just eat, we had only just moved to the village. Well I was so pleased we did as the food is amazingly tasty and fresh, set menu for two is great and has loads. We have recommended to our friends and family and have takeaways regularly from here.

We have walked by this Balti take away many times as we live close by. The Balti House has been recommended on a couple of occasions so tonight we gave it a try. We certainly were not disappointed. There is a wide and varied menu so we chose the chicken tikka jalfrasi and on placing the order asked if we could have the jalfrasi a little more spicier. We also opted for the delivery service. We were told our wait would be 30 minutes. The food arrived on time, was fantastic and way above our expectations. If you are wanting a good quality, well prepared take away meal then try this Balti House. We highly recommend it.

Always loved the food from here and the new owners haven't changed the menu or recipes which is good just made things better like added onion to the tikka and use proper salad instead of just cabbage lol just try the sagwala... Amazing 👌
