Spice Cube in Charnwood

Chicken tikka masala bland chicken not marinated sauce runny and tasteless more like a shop brought cook in sauce .. very little chicken ! Nan bread was soggy and under cooked wife's meal was OK but very little lamb for the price !! Many better places

A nice and cosy location, however we had a large group and the service was all over the place, especially when trying to pay for the meal. The food quality was okay, however it did make me feel quite ill the next day. Overall an alright experience, at least it was cheap.

Celebrated a big birthday here, the guys at Spice cube were fantastic. Great good, great presentation, great atmosphere. Thank you for having us and making the birthday truly special! See you soon.

On delivery the dish was cold and 45 minutes late

Family meal for my birthday. Treated like family. Very well looked after and outstanding food. The best meal ever. All the family loved the food, even the one who had chicken nuggets.

Spice Cube is the place for real Indian food. Cooked with love and passion. The service is excellent and a cosy atmosphere. The funny thing is that you can bring your own alcohol (wine or beers)

Worst experience ever! AVOID! WE ALL GOT FOOD POISONING! Manager/owner aggressive and threatening when we informed him that we'd been ill from his restaurant. Visited spice cube with friends a few weeks ago. Server was great, Food was OK, I felt that the food could have been better. Ordered chilli chips and got exactly that, plain chips covered in chilli powder. We're used to having proper chilli chips that are cooked in a chilli sauce with peppers, same way that chilli paneer is prepped.

Terrible customer service, incredibly rude unprofessional takeaway service evidently dodgy pressuring cash payments on app and the phone

The salmon tikka and chicken liver dish was absolutely amazing and i would highly recommend. The service was immaculate and the food was served on time. Excellent customer service by Hussain and Abdal. Will be coming back soon!!

Ordered popadoms 2 pickle trays 2 tandori mix grills ,, £45 well cold dry disgusting forgot salad again slways miss something …. And £45 just onions and about £3 worth of chicken on the bone 1 piece … tasteless and expensive never ever again do not waste your money .. tired of this …. Work hard for money … getting ripped off by professionals who can’t cook

Just had the food here and very much enjoyed. The korma was a bit on the tasteful side for my liking but I usually like my curry bland so dont let that change you’re mind. My son thoroughly enjoyed his tikka masala. Made quickly so we highly recommend

I was very disappointed in the collection I just took for a lamb bryiani which was stone cold. The nan bread was also cold and the butter chicken was not extra hot as requested n tasteless. I was totally gutted as I had high expectations on this place.

Family birthday meal in dec this is the second time visiting this curry house with family its very expensive for what you get soft drinks only which are dear £ 345 for z coke tonic lemonade water was £ 160 small bottles you can your own beer ect very cold in there my curry was very sickly which I couldn't eat

Fabulous food and service…..as ever. I visit the East Mids a couple a times a year and always visit this restaurant. The service is outstanding and the food is even better. A visit is a must.

Lovely food, however we were sweating in there. The owner always seems to come up with an excuse not to use it, looks like we won’t be come back. Advertised as fully air conditioned, however most days we turn up the door is open and insects manage to come in.

Well what a lovely place we stopped on our narrow boat and went in here for a curry the curry was lovely and the guy that served us called Tom we think was brilliant 👏 would defiantly go again

Was excited to try a takeaway after hearing good reviews . Felt let down the popadoms where soft and stale clearly not freshly made which was a real shame . Curry’s and rice good not outstanding but no complaints won’t return unless a guarantee of products made freshly !

It was our first takeaway meal from here and it was absolutely fanatic. The food was definitely next level to anything else I've had from any other local establishments. And it was nice to be handed my meal from a very smart and well mannered chap credit to you all.

Just brilliant!! Ordered a takeaway to be delivered at 7.45. What time did it arrive? 7.45 bang on time! Perfectly presented (for a takeaway). Great tastes. Pilau rice perfect with fragrant taste. Not sure the king prawns were King Prawns in the puree but still very tasty. Highly recommended

Been using these for a few years now. I'm wondering if they have changed hands or something. Was an amazing place, tastey food, loads of flavours. But a few month ago, I ordered, and food was surprisingly bland. Literally tasted like watery mush, but left an oily feeling. Just thought it was an off day. Ordered again and just tasteless. I'm no good with heat, but I tried my partners dish (hot), and it was so mild and tasteless. Unfortunately, we won't be returning customers. Two stars because it turned up on time and was hot. Delivery staff were friendly enough.

Having been a part of the spice cube family for 11 years this year, I can honestly say that they are not only amazing with food but look after their customers/family- as all customers are- I have never felt such care and love. It’s not just food , it’s love in every meal. Thank you to you all xxx

Fantastic experience - really good food, amazing service.

Plenty of options, great food and reasonable prices. Portions are huge - 1 dish/1 rice could quite easily be enough food for 2 people. Have only ever ordered via phone and collected for take-away but would love to dine-in at some point in the future. The place appears to be busy more often than not, it is a shame about the limited parking around the area.

I have been eating curry all over the UK and Europe for over 25 years now and this is one of, if not the finest curry houses I have ever eaten in. I am never fond of these "contemporary Indians" I prefer traditional, but Spice Cube has changed my mind and brought me into the world of modern day curry. The poppadom pickles were unique, especially the onion one which was mixed with a slightly hot sauce - ABSOLUTELY ADDICTIVE! our onion bhaji starters were perfect, crispy enough on the outside and fluffy and flavoursome on the inside with a very unique side salad which even included pomegranate. It was a party in my mouth. We both went for a chicken vindaloo main and the portion sizes were spot on, the chicken was tender and it was VERY lively and hot!!!! It even made my best friend, who is well experienced in curry himself shed a tear or two! No ill effects the next day either. Delicious!!!! The staff were excellent from start to finish, they seemed to have a knowing look in their eyes that the food they were serving was the best around! Not arrogant or flash! They just knew they had the best Indian food for miles! Exceptionally clean place. No wonder they have the award they do. I will be back! Mr Curry.

I was very disappointed on my visit. It is the first time I was disappointed and have been many times. The food is still amazing but the service really let it down as we were constantly waiting for service and with it being a meal for a friends birthday it did end up ruining it. Spice cube has been my takeaway of choice for years but recent experiences have been increasingly poor so I had to leave a review after tonight’s delivery. Terrible food. Cold. Order was wrong. Food was watery and tasteless. My usual dish tasted nothing like it has done before. I’m not sure what’s happened but I won’t be ordering from spice cube again.

Delicious!! We’ve tried almost every curry nearby and this was the most tasty, flavourful and divine curry we’ve had! The butter chicken was full of flavour instead of the usual watery plain yoghurty sauce we’ve tried elsewhere. The naan was fresh and fluffy, the poppadoms and pickle tray were lovely and varied, and NOTHING WAS SICKLY! We finished the entire thing. Also delivery time was great! Will be ordering here everytime now 😊 thankyou!!

Visited last night (3.12.21) in a group of 12. Both starter and main course were cooked beautifully - food was excellent quality with just the right level of spice. Waiters were friendly and attentive throughout the evening. Will definitely be returning !

Well what can I say... The ambiance of the restaurant was lovely, the food was absolutely amazing and nothing was too much for the staff. Extremely family friendly which is a big thumbs up as I came with my children and Everyone was catered for. The prawn puri is definitely one to try as a starter and the mocktails quenched my thirst. We have been using Spice Cube for approx 3 years now. We ordered a takeaway this Saturday 13th November 2021. One of the dishes that we ordered was a chicken shashlik. When it arrived we were appalled to find that the chicken was actually king prawn (it said chicken on the container that it came in) luckily, we realised after only a mouthful. This potentially could have killed someone with a shellfish allergy. Very very poor service and will not be returning.

I seldom leave comments on trip advisor. The food was good quality but it was so BLAND. My curry tasted like a stew no flavor. Not even a tingle of spice.

Beautiful food that was ready for collection just on time. They were kind enough to give us poppadoms on our first visit which was very thoughtful. Tasty food and you could tell each dish was distinctly differently spiced and layered. I think we’ve found our new local!

Great food and service, thick and well cooked curries, food takes time on a weekend due to how popular they are, so get your orders in early, the lamb shashlik tasted great with a lot of natural flavours and less fat compared to your other typical Indians, overall very unique taste and one of the best takeaways I’ve ever had with great portion size and good value for money

Went to the restaurant with my girlfriend to mark her birthday. Staff very friendly. With all that’s going on, we still felt very safe in the restaurant. Curry tasted lovely and spices spot on. We look forward to eating in again when we can.

Suggest you book in advance. Staff really friendly and helpful. Food was excellent. Good sized portions too. Really tasty and thick curry sauces with a good selection of favourite dishes but a nice selection of curries I've never heard of either ! Had to try something different and they didn't disappoint ! Definitely going again. If you're a fan of curry, definitely give this place a try. 👍
