Great food, good beer, a friendly atmosphere

The Sunday roast is lovely and the best Yorkshire pudding ever.

Just had a great Sunday lunch at The Jolly Farmers! Great yorkshire pub, tasty veggie option in a lovely pub! Looking forward to coming again!

Our first time here today and it certainly won't be the last. On walking in we were greeted by friendly locals and a lovely lady behind the bar who fitted us in very last minute. The service was quick and the food was amazing, the atmosphere so welcoming and friendly. Lovely little traditional pub. On leaving we could clearly see into the kitchen and we spoke to the chef who kindly told us how he cooked his roast potatoes. Worth every penny.

Staff seemed really friendly, however the food was not upto scratch for the price (nearly £18 for a roast). Everyone in the pub was told there was no stuffing, I thought it strange they didn't send someone to the shop to fetch some, rather than customers not getting what they paid for.

A beautiful over 100yr old pub. The owner Paul is friendly and accommodating. We arrived for lunch which was fish and chips that day which we didn't want. So he offered us pies instead. They were delicious, home made and served with vegetables and chips...service was excellent. There are tables outside. There is a full menu which you can order in advance. We were given a book with all the history of the pub which was fascinating. We had a lovely afternoon.

Just visited here late for four fantastic fish and chips portions The gentleman really looked after us and was very kind, sorry I didn't get his name. Thank you also to the young lady behind the bar.

They really accommodate the wheelchair without a fuss. Would definitely go back

Sensational, being a lover of simple great quality food this ticked my box, superb pastry, best pie's for miles, Thursday night is pie night, its wise to book a table as the pub isn't huge but it's definitely worth the effort booking

A fabulous Christmas meal - piping hot, excellent quality. Christmas tapas was amazing value. Highly recommended.

We went here for lunch after reading the menu on line. Which sounded great.We turned up only to be informed that the website has never been updated.. Basically we found out there was no lunches being served and to look on Facebook to find out what and when food was available. Not impressed.

A pub lover's pub. This is absolutely cracking. Classic real pub decor (no naff refit in shades of beige) + great food (there was a bowl of the best roasties at the bar) + great atmosphere + genuine staff + great and well kept beer selection (bass + two types of Tim Taylor). Keep it up!!

Lovely old pub - good food although this was a lunchtime food so did seem quite pricey for a lunch! Also we were expecting some mash to come with the Lamb Shank we had ordered but a dish of chips turned up! This did seem a strange accompaniment to have with the Lamb Shank ! Even some small potatoes would have been better! Might try it again but a different time of day as very quiet if fact we were the only customers apart from a person drinking at the bar!

Sandwich made with standard soft white bread. Chips greasy. It was expensive for what it was.

This pub was a halfway meet for my husband & I & 2 friends. It seems a very friendly pub. According to my husband & 2 friend a the beef roast was very good. When the menu was presented to me I was astounded there were no vegetarian dishes whatsoever. I wouldn't have chosen the pub if there hadn't been veggie option a on their website. The waitress told me eshe would see what the chef could do and I agreed to have the cauliflower bake as suggested. It was in essence, a portion of cauliflower cheese!!! In this day & age , I think it is very poor that vegetarians aren't catered for. & for this reason, we won't be going back.

Went for the Pie and a Pint night. Excellent food and really friendly service.

First time visiting and when I saw the draught cider was Inch's I feared the worst. Only tried Inch's once before in a pub in Hathern and it was rancid. However, in the Farmers it was lovely because the landlord cleans the pipes. I shall return

Food very nice but way too expensive, especially for the amount on your plate.

Love this pub drink good and staff are all friendly the food is fab I pree order my pies which there is are large variety and the fish chip and peas are lovely best around in my opinion. Would highly recommend, but u do have to pre order the food for a Friday pic up

We visited here mother's day and were pleasantly surprised by the great quality food. The landlord leads by example and is clearly the soul of this place! Our youngest is a fussy eater and he went out of his way to source different ingredients and fix her something special and off menu. Although small this place is cosy and carries a friendly atmosphere!

A little disappointed tbh, at £17 for sunday lunch- 40min wait for burnt potatoes, forgotten yorkie, overcooked veg and weak packet gravy. Such a let down of a beautiful pub. Would also advise keeping the fat moaning chef out of the bar area.

Lovely quaint pub, friendly landlord. The original interior has been maintained & the walls are full of interesting items from previous years. Will definitely visit again.

Had a lovely experience today visiting Jolly Farmers for the first time. Absolutely lovely lady that I assume was the landlady took my table booking (same day) I explained we had a wheelchair user in the group- she couldn't have been more accommodating or welcoming. Upon arrival the pub is very cozy - lots of cushions everywhere so very easy to get comfortable. There was a lovely atmosphere about the pub and I felt extremely comfortable in myself there (no "This is a loocal place for loocal people- there's nothing for you 'ere!" Vibes whatsoever) The food was delicious- portion size was generous- if I were being picky I could say that the leeks and cabbage were a little under cooked for me, but im really not an 'al'dente' type person. I had the roast beef, A. had the risky pork belly. The service was excellent- and with a large drink each we finished on a total of £26 - crazy reasonable!! I certainly plan on returning and trying more of their delicious, well priced food - enjoying the oldy worldy vibe in the restaurant- and just to top it off they seem to be dog friendly- yay! Can't recommend this little gem enough! Lovely Jubely! :)

Service was quite slow and my food was turning cold by the time the vegetables arrived. Disappointed.

Real Homely Country Pub, with Friendly Hosts and Regulars.. Even a TV to watch any Sport.. A small Pub with a Cosy Warm atmosphere. Well Worth a Visit.. 👍

A lovely warm and cosy atmosphere with great food. I have not been here for a while due to one thing; you have to go then find what's on the menu..! I'd prefer to know what on a menu but it is trying to be a foodie favourite by being advised what to have by what ingredients a bought. Great food if that's your choice of restaurant.

Just moved into the area and is my first visit today. Lovely country pub feel. Very friendly staff. Excellent quality food and drinks at reasonable prices. Try the superb home cooked chips. Easy parking if required. Will be my local from now on.

Lovely pub friendly good value food

Such a gorgeous little, very quaint but absolutely authentic pub with none of that silly "musak" or sound fields whatsoever playing on the background to disturb anybody. This typical olde English public house has a highly regarded very skilled barman and his barmaid was constantly busy dealing with a dozen friends at the counter. These two are used to a full house day and night. In giving each of the of their happy, smiling customers' provide such confidence that they make this pub stand out miles from the rest! As this pub is a destination that is to be savoured, constantly welcomed having very lively, genuinely fun-filled characters of all ages getting along perfectly.

Great little pub to enjoy a drink with the wife and kids. Nice real fire, friendly traditional pub with some good bears as well
