Great little place in the centre of Syston,food is excellent and very reasonable, very polite staff.

Great bacon sarnie, good burger, coffee could be better, but lovely otherwise, friendly staff and OPEN MONDAYS!!!!!

Can be a busy location in the shopping area and very popular with locals. Order and pay at the counter and they will bring it out to you. There is a limited gluten free menu available so just ask at the tille. Bravo team!

Quite busy today. Popped in for a all day breakfast. Nice pot of tea. Very nice.

Servic absolutely not existence order was completely wrong would never use again,as customer service was non exsistent.

Very good food, bit pricey. Staff friendly but table service staff poorly trained and slow to clear tables for next customers. Worth eating there though.

Went in for breakfast and ordered two bacon and egg sandwiches but asked if the bread could be toasted. I checked the bill and I was charged for a toastie, in essence I was charged an extra £4 to have 4 slices of bread toasted, bit steep and when I questioned it was told, that’s what we do and that’s that. Not the best customer service by any of the staff.

Incredible place. Huge menu from cooked breakfasts to crepes with ice cream. We travel 30 mins from where we live to come here rather than any of the 10 cafes nearer to us. Never disappoint, food always super hot and super tasty. We always tip 20% because it's also so cheap and we do not want this place to EVER go under...

It's lovely for a scone and really nice tea. There are spaces which are really nice to sit in so can have good chat. Lots of tables and spaces. Plenty cakes to select from which was really nice. There are toilets as well which needs to be labelled more as I had to ask in terms of where it was.

Called in for a early lunch on a Saturday, very helpful, friendly staff, decent quality food.

Been to this cafe every so often since it was Ray’s Tray way back when. Must say I found it rather pricey and some of the staff were a bit monotone. Perhaps to be expected in a job where customers complain about every little thing. Atmosphere isn’t the worst, sometimes a bit quiet and feel almost out of place when I’m there. That’s just me though. Decor is nice and the booths are a nice added touch. In a handy location in the precinct too. Food can be nice, depends what you get. Breakfast, lunch and main meals on the menu.

Lovely staff and always made to feel welcome. I've never had a disappointing meal there either.

Have reviewed here before but wanted to point out that the pancakes in the dessert section of the menu can be had for breakfast! It's one giant pancake rather than multiple smaller ones. I opted to add bacon and pay extra instead of having ice cream and it worked well.

Car parking off high street but skin you if overstay. Best use Tesco, Aldi or the free public CP on the main drag. Popular with local oldies. A little cramped. 4 other good cafés and a Costa😝 close by but I highly recommend this one. Dog and squalling kid friendly. Good menu, nice cake selection. Friendly staff and patrons.

Had girly elevenses with cappuccino and the biggest scone I've ever seen 😋. Better to go b4 12 noon or after 13.30 then it's not packed. Has a small outside area which is ok or if you 🚬

Really busy on a Saturday morning but still really quick service. Food is fantastic, cannot complain, will be returning. They do egg and bacon muffins which aren't on the main menu but definitely recommend.

Ate here frequently and the food is awesome. I’ve had various menu items and it’s always been great. Plenty of seating inside and out, though the service can be questionable most of the time — friendly staff but quite slow.

Wow! Thought we were stopping off for a quick coffee as we were just in the area. There didn't seem to be much choice on a midweek lunchtime, so we ventured into this cafe. Just off the High Street next to a Poundstore, it didn't seem the likeliest place for a nice lunch out... I was wrong! The welcome was friendly and we were soon perusing the menu. We ordered burgers, which were delicious as well as being huge, great coffees and we couldn't resist taking home strawberry tarts for tea. Busy, friendly and good value.

Love it here. The staff are lovely and the food and drinks are great. I had cheese on toast on my last visit and it was delicious. I also had a pot of tea and a Diet Pepsi (a can of which is so much nicer than a glass out of a pump) and they were lovely too. Prices are pretty much the same as a lot of places. Reasonable for most items. Friendly cafe with tasty food and drink. Would definitely recommend if you’re in Syston.

First time I've eaten here and it was lovely, especially the home made cakes.

Exceptional breakfast! Everything was hot and delicious, I love that they serve hash browns which many cafes do not. Also allow swaps for items. Hot chocolate was fantastic. Will definitely return.

Wonderful place, deluxe milk shakes are fantastic. Food is brilliant, really can't fault the place, great staff, very relaxed atmosphere, will be going back soon.

By chance we went in there twice one day and enjoyed it both times . The second time we ate there and found the food served speedily and well presented .Our waitress was the same both times and she was very nice and engaged well in conversation with us. Will definitely go again. 31st October 2022 at lunchtime.

Had a lovely breakfast here this morning and an amazing scone. All of the cakes looked amazing so I'll definitely be back tobtry them. Friendly staff and a lovely interior to the place!!

Not bad for a coffee - however very limited choice for Gluten-free cakes etc. I felt like my options were take it or leave it! The offerings were a scone, “I could make you some toast” or I’ve got flapjacks in the freezer, but nobody asks for them” (I wonder why)?

Very disappointed with the food had a cheese and onion Omelette big chunks of raw onion. Peas out of a tin . Very disappointed.

Have only just started to go there but will continue to visit. Had breakfast, and a lovely fish and chips, both very nicely presented, and tasty. Staff very polite and helpful. Highly recommend it. Will be making more visits there.

Lovely cafe, really clean and nicely decorated. Staff are all friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was good, will return!

Very expensive for an average experience. Slow pace. Iced frappe was barely cool don't think it seen any ice at all. Cakes was OK but nothing special. Simply average all round, wouldn't rush to go back. Costa is probably cheaper and better across the road which says it all.

Nice coffee and decent enough toasties. The service is extremely slow though , even when there is hardly anyone in. Waited 20 mins for my drink & they had only just opened. Puts me off going there.

Best cake I've ever had in a cafe. Super value in comparison to high street cafes like Costa. Really quick service. Latte was lovely also and hot chocolate was amazing!

I went into the Bay Tree this morning for breakfast, I have been before & always enjoyed it.. When I received my breakfast all looked lovely, thought the sausage didnt look very well done. But continued with my breakfast, started to eat my sausage was pink inside not cooked properly quietly told the girl clearing the plates said I didnt want a replacement.. No one came over no apology, wont be going back wasnt a cheap breakfast either...

This cafe has stayed open for takeaway throughout the lockdown, every day. Really appreciated for hot drinks, hot cobs/muffins etc.

Lovely food and they really make you feel welcome, its the only place we go out and the kids eat all there food.
