Deli 1880 Limited in Charnwood

We popped in for a quick bite to eat on Saturday as we were doing some local shopping. As it was a sunny day, the few seats outside were taken, but we managed to get a table inside. Service was friendly and helpful and as soon as I discovered the quiche was homemade, I just had to try it. I chose the individual cheese and caramelised onion quiche. It was delicious! A lovely little independent cafe!

A little expensive but you get what you pay for in quality and service.

The title drew us in ; a deli for lunch should be a cut above the average. Unfortunately this place fell well below standard - from the dirty tables , to the noisy young staff more interested in themselves than the customers , to the cold draught blowing from the open doors , to the watery tuna and mayonnaise sandwich nothing impressed at all . To be fair my partners eggs were okish.

It's so small and cramped. I had to wait awhile for a takeaway. Not particularly busy, either. Need larger premises, and I believe it could thrive. Although the sandwich was nice, I thought it was overpriced for a takeaway sandwich.

I'd never noticed this cute little cafe before as I usually visit Rothley in the evenings ling after it is closed. However, I managed to stop by at lunch time today and was surprised to find the little cafe was packed - always a good sign! Luckily, there was outdoor seating and a little summer house in the garden. Plenty of blankets for the chilly weather, and decent, hot coffee warmed us up nicely. I'd ordered a sausage roll which was tasty - tons of nicely seasoned sausage meat and decently filling for a light lunch. 2 coffees and 2 sausage rolls cost £9, so that was good value too. There are lots of small gifts, cards etc on sale too.

Food is good just not a fan of the coffee but that is personal taste

I came here with my friend and we stayed for a long time. The coffee and cakes were very nice and the garden we sat in was private and quiet. A nice atmosphere, if a little expensive.

Nice little deli service a bit slow asked for some mayo for our salad but it never arrived

Waitress never spoke, ignored me when I spoke to her and walked away. I told them no salad I have allergies, it's easier than going through my allergies, but got salad even though they wrote it down! Then had nerve to charge £17.50 for a panini and a cup of tea, the brie on the panini was on the turn and the tea was nasty, very bitter. Never again!!!

Lovely place. Cozy asthenosphere & really nice staff. I totally recommend it!

Wonderful food. I had a ham and mustard sandwich. Some of the best ham I have had in a long time, surrounded by freshly cut bread. Beautiful

I didn't realise it had changed hands. So very different to what I expected. Was pleasantly surprised at the outside extra seating. Food was good and well presented by friendly staff.

One of the nicest and friendliest place you could go for cake and coffee. I enjoyed it now since 6 month and I am always get a warm welcome and the offered products are fresh fresh as it shout be.

Thriving as the only village coffee shop! Offering Daily Takeaway during lockdown and some lovely cakes and snacks too. Always pleasant and attentive service. Decent pie night meals too can be booked for Fridays. Thanks guys, hang in there!

This is a really first class establishment offering good coffee, excellent food-much of it home made- and other tempting snacks. It is run by a lovely family who are always welcoming , cheerful and helpful. It is thoroughly recommended.

I love Deli 1880 and pop in fairly often for a quick cuppa or bite to eat with friends. A warm welcome awaits and there's always a willingness to adapt the menu to suit when preferences or allergies dictate. All in all a lovely place to visit alone or with company: attractive surroundings and friendly staff - even outdoor seating in clement weather.

Having multiple food allergies I often have difficulty getting food in restaurants. The staff at Deli 1880 are always friendly kind and attentive and assemble a meal for me from items on the menu I can eat. I never have a problem - although I would love to be able to eat some of their other items that look so delicious...

I went for breakfast today and it was excellent..the customer service was the best I've experienced for a long time.it was a lovely day so you could sit in the garden..it's so worth a visit...

This was formerly “cuppas” and had a lot to live up to but I am delighted to say the new owners have transformed this little cafe; making it a wonderful venue for breakfasts, snacks, lunches and afternoon tea. The staf are very welcoming and the food is excellent with several gluten-free options. The upstairs is also nicely decorated and the facilities were very clean. Great

Since the sad closure of Dolce & Verde in Rothley village last summer I have been relieved to discover that Deli 1880 around the corner offer excellent quality coffee either to drink in or take out. They also have a fab deli counter and serve excellent full English breakfasts. Just wish they were open on Sundays too as Rothley village has no coffee options at all on winter Sundays

Had several coffees and a number of light snacks in here now, do great deli meals too. Welcoming, modern comfortable and great service. Good range of quality food and drink. Nice atmosphere. Best of the bunch in rothley now.

Took the family for my daughter's birthday for breakfast, everything was fab nothing too much trouble and the birthday cupcakes were delicious. Staff so lovely and friendly

Really glad that this cafe has re -opened and with a great refurb! Right on the green in Rothley, it’s convenient and modern with a lovely outside space too! Nice cake and coffee-looking forward to goin back!

Deli 1880 provided us with a fabulous lunch for important business visitors. Our visitors were impressed, and enjoyed something fresh and far better than the average working lunch spread. I highly recommend Deli 1880 to others and will be using them again.

I love this little gem in the village of Rothley beautifully clean good food.

Popped in just for coffee and was pleasantly surprised at the change in the cafe. A warm welcome, prompt service and very pleasant staff. Will have to call back in for nibbles.
