Went late afternoon, into the restaurant and had sausage and mash with a coffee to boot. If you haven't tried an IKEA breakfast/lunch please, do it.

Been here before and sat here now with underdone toast Luke warm coffee not for the first time worst Costa coffee I've visited unbelievably poor

Lovely waiters and very helpful. Food was a standard at a push. Burger meal just consisted of a burger and a few fries which fries were very pale burger had the tiniest dash of mayonnaise and next to no salad. Had to order slaw and onion rings to go with it coating and extra £9 . Bigger kid portions small burger and slice of garlic bread nearly £9 . Bigger kids meatballs and pasta consisted of 3 big meatballs when taken out bowl a few pieces of pasta and slice of garlic bread again £9. All in all cost £74 won’t be returning hungry horse orders more for less .

This review is based on 3 separate visits to this location. Overall, the service has been good on every occasion, and the staff were attentive, however, they did look like their patience was wearing thin, and they looked tired towards the end of our visit as they were not as cheerful as when we initially went in. I really like pizza, and there of loads of independent pizza shops that make stunning pizza, much better than Pizza Express, but as we wanted a quick bite and this was the option around, we decided to go here. The food was only ok. We were warned on this occasion that there was a wait of about an hour on food which was fine with us, ended up being 1hr40mins. Expect delays every time, and be prepared to not have anyone check on you until after your food has arrived. This is a recurring theme of this restaurant. There was a loud, continuous sound, like a siren which was on throughout our visit, when I was talking, my wife asked me why i'm shouting, and it was because I couldn't hear myself think, I could not hear my wife across the table either. So, I decided to download a decibel meter app on my phone. The background noise of that droning siren was 74Db ... I couldn't hear the music over it. Finally, dessert. I wanted an ultimate choc cake, but as everything was so late, I ordered it to take away. No one told me there was a normal choc cake, which is not the ultimate choc cake! So when I got home, I got to look forward to a box of ultimate disappointment. The choc cake is like a slice of cheap supermarket cake for twice the price, just go to a supermarket and enjoy the whole cake for half the price. Also, I did try and take the best picture I could of the cake. Overall, extremely expensive, we did manage to get hold of staff when we needed them, the wait for food was too long, felt exhausted after my dining experience. Should've got a hotdog at Ikea! As an independent small shop owner myself, I get edgy if we haven't served a customer within 15mins of ordering, and will always serve something complimentary and personally apologise.

Food and drinks were great and a special thanks to the workers today, they were so nice and very quick with getting the food out. Great service and I recommend this place to anyone that wants a nice night out with good drinks and service

We’ve been here to eat food twice and I should have learned my lesson the first time we ate here, I met up with some friends and had fish chips and peas, the peas were cold and uncooked with some still frozen, the eight chips I had weren’t much warmer and the fish was cold in the middle. The pub is a beautiful place with loads of character but the food is dismal. We’ve eaten at other Green King pubs were the food is a lot better.

Lovely staff. And great food ,, I had a steak knife and didn’t realise I was using the wrong side of the blade ,,, it was that tender , mixed grill fantastic, but go when your really hungry there’s loads

Popped in for a coffee & cake, unfortunately my son ended up spilling my drink over me & himself. They were very helpful to clear up a kindly replaced my iced latte which was very appreciated.
