After visiting the wonderful garden centre, we stopped at the café for lunch - and what a choice! All sorts of salads, snacks, brunches etc, made from locally sourced ingredients. Opted for the baco and sausage baguette ' absolutely delicious! Plenty of choices cater for different dietary requirements, such as gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan. Service was fast yet friendly. Plenty of free parking available. Worth a visit.

Nice tasting coffee, nice cafe inside. However, DON'T buy the sausage rolls. Worst I have ever had. Solid, tough meat, and the worst tasting pastry. Totally inedible!! Left mine in the plate after taking two small bites. Served luke warm, and really greasy, with a strange coating that was really unappealing and tasted horrid Spoke to another customer who said the same. Was going to complain, and return the sausage roll but felt that the staff may fob me off.

A shambles! We queued for ten mins at 11am to book afternoon tea in person for a 2pm sitting. A table x 3. Very excited as it was supposed to be a birthday treat. Libby, the manager, offered to reserve a table for us. There's a huge framed chalk board advertising the afternoon tea reservations. We returned at 2pm for our afternoon tea, having gone past two lovely coffee shops. Couldn't see a table reservation so queued again to ask where we should sit. They'd forgot to reserve our table. A couple left so we pulled up a chair and 3 of us sat around a table for 2. We then queued again to collect our tea. The couple in front of us ordered a cream tea (scones). Apparently, these were the last scones - no one had thought to save any for our afternoon tea. In fact, no cake options except lemon curd or carrot cake as all other options had also sold out. They hadn't prepared the afternoon tea. We were told we could have afternoon tea now consisting of the last slice of lemon curd cake or carrot cake, and flapjakes/tray bake. No scones or coffee walnut cake (our fav). I went back to the table to ask what they thought. No go - let's just order sandwiches and tea. We queued again for sandwiches and a cup of tea, bitterly disappointed. I remained polite but was shocked at the absolute disregard by the manager, Libby, who forgotten to reserve us a table and who then, knowing we'd arrived to fulfill our booking, still sold the last scones. She apologised but we honestly spent longer queuing than we did eating. I wouldn't rely on them for an afternoon tea booking as it's clear that they won't prepare it and it's basically nearly £30 to eat whatever is left after a busy lunch. Not to seem funny, but after the absolute fluff up that they made with our booking, and how much time I'd spent queuing, they didn't even offer us a complimentary cup of tea. Bitterly disappointed as this was supposed to have been a birthday treat.

The first thing to say is that the food here is wonderful! The coffee is really nice and my wife said the tea was really good too. THE QUICHE IS THE BEST IN THE WORLD! My constructive criticism (and I hope this is taken for all it's well meaning) is that even though there were only two people infront of me in the queue it did take ages to get served. The staff didn't seem in a hurry at all and it's a shame that the service industry in general in this country doesn't have high standards. As I was stood there I was thinking that I could suggest some changes on how their staff could serve faster so that people aren't stood around waiting so much. The thing I think they need to really compliment themselves on is that they weren't out of anything. Everything I ordered was fine and the ladies behind the counter were so sweet and friendly. Please don't change this. All of the food was clearly prepared in-house and it really showed! Reuben Shaw & Son's is great from beginning to end and the fact the carpark is always full speaks for itself. Keep up the good work! Thanks for reading.

I took my elderly mother in her wheel chair to the garden centre then over to the coffee shop for a meal and a drink, well she was well pleased with the service she had received they was very helpful knowing there wasn't much room in there for disabled access, opening the doors and asking what she would like, mum also left with a whale pot from a window also she was well happy. Thank you staff. Isn't the first time I have been there either my first time was over Christmas as I work voluntary with a local hospital radio station, I got my mum some indoor plants to and was impressed with the coffee shop back then. This is a nice little coffee shop within a garden centre. The thing that lets them down is that you have to queue for ages to be served at the till, whilst the people in front of you are getting their coffees you are still waiting to be served. I waited for 10 minutes in a queue on crutches. I think they need to rethink, they have lots of staff milling around but it takes an age to be served, left standing in a queue. Can't fault the food and drink, just keep you waiting longer than necessary.

Food and drink excellent but put off going due to slow service and lack of seating. Last time again no seats but decided to sit outside but left after waiting far too long in a queue of only five people. This has happened a few times. Customers waiting for hot drinks at till takes far too long. Beauvale priory only takes orders with payment and so customers aren't waiting for their drinks whilst at till. Works brilliantly and never a queue standing and waiting. Also, clearing of tables needs to be seen as a priority due to the small number of tables. All my family and friends really want this cafe to succeed but all have commented on slow service and lack of seating. Hope this review helps you to understand the possible areas of improvement. All the best ☺️

This is a lovely coffee shop with excellent quality food and drink. The staff are friendly and very helpful. My son said it was the best hot chocolate he'd ever had. My only criticism would be that some of the tables are so close together you can't get chairs around them which limits the number of people who can sit at the table. The fire by the settees is a lovely touch however and gives a relaxed ambience. Would highly recommend although you might want to avoid the most popular times as can get crowded

We rounded off our visit with a trip to the garden centre adjoining and were tempted into buying plants at very reasonable prices. Well worth a second visit.

My husband and I often call at Reuben's ,sometimes just for a cuppa - though we always seem to end up with a cake or a freshly made scone - they are delicious. Sometimes for lunch - the quiches with a full salad are not to be missed. We have also treated friends and family to lunches or afternoon teas on special occasions such as birthdays.

We have patronised this lovely tearoom since it opened. The Coffee House is very popular, and the food is of good quality. However, the counter service (no table service), can be dreadfully SLOW, and this can tend to lead to frustration! The staff, although very pleasant and helpful, seem to be very disorganised - which can marr your visit!

I have eaten here once before and again the food was excellent. Also whilst there met some friends. The staff was efficient and polite. Not rushed to leave.

Service slow no breakfast as no fried eggs. Unbelievable long cue. Should be more organised and have someone making the drinks. There was a few of them behind the till tripping over each other.

Called in coffee house after visiting garden centre for a light lunch. Found it to be a pleasant airy little cafe which was very busy, always a good sign. My good lady had the quiche with side saladwhich she thoroughly enjoyed with a pot of tea .My choice ruined the visit. I had the Traditional ploughmans which was an absolute joke. I love my cheeses and have ploughmans on a regular basis but no blocks of cheese just one small dish of grated cheese !!! The ploughman around Moorgreen must have took cheese graters in their snap tins. When the waitress came to collect the plates i informed her that i had never had grated cheese on a ploughmans and what i had was basically a cheese salad. Astonishingly she said that many customers had said the same!!!! I would love to know why the cafe cant get the message that ploughmen never had cheese graters!!! Having said that would go again but just have a sandwich. Interested to see the managers take on this.

Lovely light , airy cafe serving delicious cakes , scones , sausage rolls and lunches and afternoon teas . Very polite and friendly staff ,clean loos ,ample parking , can get busy but worth the wait. The garden centre is well worth a visit as the plants are fresh and well tended.

Lovely home made sausage rolls and cakes, great sizes and lovely accompanied by a fresh coffee, only downside when I visited was the wait for the sausage rolls as they wasn't ready when the coffe shop opened. Other than that fab

We had our wedding day at beauvale priory and I can honestly say it was our best day ever. The attention to detail and staff were second to none. We had lasagne and salad and pizza for our meal and freshly made on site. In the evening we had chip cobs and freshly homemade artisan doughnuts everything made by Cameron on site. Thanks Tony for wearing your kilt, thanks Ann for telling me to slow down and take every minute in, thanks Lauren and Troy for all your advice when we made the booking and changing a few things last minute. Highly recommended ❤️ thank you so much and we wish we could do it all again x
